The Red Caboose & Thoughts Of A Nostalgic Genexer.
A place to share, recall iconic grassroots businesses before they were gobbled up by conglomerates and sadly ended iconic enterprises that state’s people took great pride in and supported with their dollars. Those same growing corporate concerns gave back to the communities they served. while I am a capitalist, I plan to in this blog tackle the difference between ‘hometown pride’ and far away , distant corporate headquarters.This will be a place for the second half of the Gen X Generation to share what I hope will leave history of a simpler yesteryear where the only computers were in the school office and we used one dollar bills to fill our car’s gas tank. All Americana Nostalgia and Related Stories of 1960′s 70′ and 80′s are welcomed..
Please keep your recollections family oriented, so young people can experience a window into a world they can not imagine. Actually, friends, that’s where the ‘red caboose; reference comes in. i will be sure to explain that in a future post, because it is a story in it self. I think we are in for quit a ride down the rails of life,
