Wapiti Reservation - 1898 / 1899 / 1907

This post is basically just the before during and after post for what the reservation looks like depending on what year it is in-game. (The photos for 1898 were taken in Red Dead Online as that is the year it takes place.)

1898

(As there is no photo mode for RDO, the below screenshots will have my RDO character in them.)

The sign (not shown, but it looks the same as above) for the reservation is present as are two half constructed tepees/tents. This might imply that the tribe was either in the process of moving there or that the government had already "assigned" the area to them and planned to move them there.

However if you wait until nightfall the two buildings in the North part of the area have lights that go on inside, implying someone's inside?

Though the vines covering the door seem to imply the opposite and the lights are probably just on because they turn on for every building in the game at night.

1899

This is the only time the reservation is inhabited.

1907

It is implied the tribe left the area not long after the end of chapter 6/1899 and went North, specifically to Canada. (The above and below photos were taken from the same POV)

All buildings and the sign remain, as well as the two tents/tepees that were there in 1898.

You can see a single oil rig showing that there really wasn't that much oil as originally believed and that the site was quickly abandoned. This is also stated in a Newspaper Article you can get during the Epilogue.

Wapiti Reservation - People/Clothing

The only time a child is seen is during the opening cutscene for the optional mission "Honor Among Thieves" where you steal back the vaccines.

The majority of the people seem to be older, though as stated above, there are children on the reservation and obviously people around Eagle Flies' age.

People can be seen standing, sitting by, or tending to fires. Women can be seen sewing or knitting and washing cloths like at camp.

Men wear a mix between leather/hide clothing and more "modern" items. Some wear blue Union jackets. Some can be found smoking pipes.

Women have a few hairstyles and head-wear. Some will have their hair down with feathers or in braids while others will have theirs covered with a scarf/shall or something similar.

There are many dogs on the reservation. Shown below, you can see three sitting with two men at a fire. You can various others throughout the area.

Grizzlies East - Wapiti Reservation

There are separate posts for both people/clothing and the area during the epilogue.

Overhead/Above Views

The map shows there are 15 tepees.

The above remains of a log cabin are at the south area of the reservation.

There are a few buildings but they are inaccessible to the player.

Closer Detail

There's food, cans, bottles, and the like scattered around. Various baskets, pelts, rugs, clothing piles, and supplies.

Some tepees have various items inside instead of places to sleep.

One tepee contains a lot of food and cooking items.

The exposure was high when I took this one because it was very dark inside.

does the arthur's journal post have every possible entry? does it have everything in the compendium? I want to hand-make a personal copy of the journal and i wanna make sure i get everything. thanks!!!

So sorry for the (what I'm sure is probably a) super late reply. The "Arthur's Journal" has only story related entries.

Other entries are separated by what they are i.e. entries on Strangers are found on the posts for those characters.

I'm still working on getting all the drawings of like animals and plants for a compendium page/posts.

Does this sound like a good idea/would this be helpful?

So photos on tumblr can only be so big and I can only put so many on one post. I know a lot of people have been looking for either bigger images or better quality ones, would making some google drive things/folders available for download be a good idea?

(I've never done that before but I assume it's just making the folders and sharing the link to them, yeah?)

And also what things would be most helpful to have? I'm already going to do the newspapers, journal pages, and cigarette cards.

(Some photos, like the newspapers, I've already deleted to make room for more on my computer, but I could probably get them again)

So my notifications on my phone for Tumblr were off... So I didn't see that I had asks in my inbox, idk when they got sent in... I'm so sorry x.X As soon as I can properly answer them I will.

Getting screenshots for the compendium now which will be cigarette cards (better images because I think I already did them), animals (The actual compendium pages from the pause menu and both drawing versions.. hopefully), the same for the fish (minus drawings), plants (+drawings), horses, gangs, weapons ... Actually everything but equipment only because those don't have pages in the menu.

Found my phone that can have the RDR2 app on it meaning I can get much better photos of the journal pages themselves for drawings.

The compendium stuff is gonna have its own page and be separate from the journal pages by the way (those are meant to be the actual entries written during story mode specifically, like how the ones for Strangers are also separate)

Getting photos for Fleeting Joy and... Marybeth and Karen are just... not there? I know Molly isn't there cause she's in town or something and I think Trelawny (spelling looks wrong?) shows up later.

I can find everyone else with free cam/photo mode but not those two.

(Also hi, not dead, ADHD brain just wasn't hyper focused on RDR2 anymore but I'm getting back into working on my fic so I'm kinda working on the blog again. It's just very overwhelming as one person but eventually this blog will be complete.)

I'm currently working on posts for the Watipi Reservation.

This blog was made to be as helpful as possible and I know it's far from being finished, but I want to make sure people can find what they need when they need it. So...

The New Hanover Gazette can be bought in Valentine and Annesburg, the Saint Denis Times can be purchased in Rhodes and (of course) Saint Denis, and finally the Blackwater Ledger can be purchased in Strawberry and (of course) Blackwater.

The main articles are all pretty much the same, though some issues have a few articles that are swapped out or added and some only appear if you’ve done the corresponding mission first.

Note: Some of the later newspapers contain late game spoilers.
