Santino’s upbringings couldn’t be classified as normal. His mother Sandra had migrated from Barbados to New York for college where she fell in love with a Dominican man named Gustavo she met at a party. Their relationship lasted long enough for them to create a son together before his mother realized the different futures they had planned out for their child. His father was a hustler who began grooming Santino at the age of fifteen to take over his business. Horrified by the callous demeanor her son seemed to develop overnight, Sandra packed everything she owned and moved them to Crenshaw, Los Angeles.There, his behavior only worsen. By the time he was twenty, he had made a name for himself on the streets as a force to be reckoned with. Everything was going good and money was being made into he was set up by someone in his own crew. Luckily, the only thing they had on him was possession of a loaded gun and he was sentenced to four years in prison.  Since his release, Santino has been trying to live his life on the straight and narrow path while providing for his daughter but every now and then he finds himself craving the thrill of his old life.

Tameeka grew up with her mother in Harlem. Her mother being bitter and angry that her Tameeka’s father left, she never knew how to show Tameeka love. The way she did show love was by providing a home and food for Tameka. But Tameeka would be in the house by herself, craving love and attention. That one day she decided to go look for it. Running into three different men at different times who she thought loved her but did nothing but mistreat her and abuse her. The last one almost getting her arrested. When she tried the first time to get her life together going to cosmetology school, she met this nice guy who was different then all the other guys that she dated. She hated that he was so perfect and felt like he would eventually do her the same like the other. So she ruined him. Basically breaking him just like how she was broken. It didn’t hit her that she ruined him till a year later when she seen him treat women exactly like how men used to treat her. That when she knew she needed to change.

Growing up in a dysfunctional household on the south side of Chicago, It was easy for Kionna to became a product of her environment. Her father’s life had been taken before she could walk, leaving her in the care of a woman who rejected her since birth. By the age of fifteen, Kionna had grown tired of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother and decided to move out on her own. Without a high school diploma or a penny to her name,  she was forced to get a job as a dancer at a shady strip club, where her self-destruction and crime spree would begin. Drugs, drinking, and violence became apart of her everyday life. For a while, she enjoyed the easy money and fast lifestyle, that was until she found herself being investigated for the death of two local drug dealers. While charges were never filed, Kionna had a bounty placed out on her head that would chase her all the way to Los Angeles. Now in her twenties, she has managed to turn her life around. After getting her GED, she went on to cosmetology school and now owns a successful beauty bar. But, the demons from her past still stand as a threat.
