Another DIY for your Wednesday. Foxies love to eat lots of bugs so here is a recipe that you can use with gummy worms. They are called Dirt Cups.
Here is what you will need!
🐾Oreos or Brownies crushed up
🐾Gummy worms
🐾Plastic cups
🐾Chocolate Pudding, Ice Cream, or chocolate whipped cream
Here is what you do…
🐾Make your brownies and crush them up (Or just crush up your Oreos)
🐾Make your pudding or let your ice cream soften
🐾 Put a layer of your cookies/brownies
🐾Put layer of your filler (Ice cream, Pudding, Chocolate Whipped cream)
🐾 Hang two or three gummy worms over the side of cup and add layer of Cookie/brownie
🐾 Keep layering while burying the worms.
🦊If you used Icecream either eat right away or put in freezer to harder up a bit again🦊
🦊You can make a big one of these in a bowl and just bury the worms completely. You cute Kits will have fun finding them🦊

How I Build a Den
Okay so in response to my Cubbing Season post @felidaea has said that they do have the urge to den but don’t know where to start, and this is gonna get way, way too long to send in ask messages, so here is my method of building a den. Maybe with pictures, maybe just with descriptions, maybe I’ll post pictures separately when my phone is charged. But yeah, here goes nothing!
Location, Location, Location!!
You’re gonna want to pick a corner (corners are easiest to use since two of your “walls” are already made for you!) that you spend a lot of time in now, or that you’re capable of spending a lot of time in once the den is built there. What is the point in building a den you won’t use?
If you live with other people, make sure it’s somewhere out of the way
If you have a choice, use a softer “ground” like carpet.
Personally, I use the top half of my bed as the “floor” of my den because my bed is in the corner of my room. It’s also in my own personal space o nobody cares what I do with it
Bare Bones–Three Walls and a Roof
You’re gonna want exactly what the title says: three walls and a roof. If you managed to find a corner, great! Two of your walls are already premade–if not, you’re gonna have to make them.
You can set up cushions, chairs, cardboard boxes, poles, anything and everything that is stably free-standing as your “walls” or as corners to hold up your walls.
Make sure your walls/corner pieces are high enough up that when you put a roof on, you can at least sit comfortably.Remember that the roof will sag a little, so if it feels “just high enough, barely”–get something taller.
Your roof will probably be a blanket/sheet, and your walls can be too if you have only found corner pieces!
Personally, I attach a blanket to my curtain rod, as well as to a pole, and then tuck it over the back of my headboard. This makes a roof and a wall all in one–and my headboard and my room wall are the other two walls of the den.
You can attach these things however you want–if you are attaching things to your walls, I suggest thumb tacks! If you are hanging things from slimmer headboards, potato chip bag clips work wonders to hold blankets on corners. Again, get creative and use what you have at hand. The blanket is literally just tied to my pole–nothing fancy haha!
Flesh it out!
Okay, you’ve got walls and a roof, but nothing else. Now it’s time to customize it! GRAB EVERY SPARE BLANKET AND PILLOW IN YOUR HOUSE. ROB YOUR HOUSEMATES OF THEIR PILLOWS. STEAL THEIR SHEETS WHILE THEY’RE AT WORK. Just kidding, haha! But seriously, the more stuff you can den with, the better! Now that you have a small space, you want to make it as comfy as possible. I have three comforters, four pillows, a body pillow, two pelts and a soft mount in my den. Line the corners so there are no harsh edges, then just customize the space the fit your body–sprawled out or curled up, whatever you have the space/desire for. And trust me when I say that even if you’re on a bed or something, putting a blanket down as a liner for the whole floor of the den is extremely necessary for maximum comfort.
This part is totally up to you now. You can add lights if you want to be trendy, or keep it dark, make designated spaces for electronics/chargers, whatever you want to make everything comfortable for you. You don’t actually have pups/kits, so this space is entirely yours! Get creative!
Okay, that’s all I can think of for making a den! It’s not as hard as it sounds, really, and once you get started, you’ll have trouble stopping, even if you’re done! It’s so much fun and feels so good this time of year.
Felidaea, if you need more help, like with specifics and stuff, feel free to shoot me an ask or IM me. I’ll help you pick a location and get started building and clarify anything that may be hard to understand!

Psychological Otherkin
I see otherkin mentioned a lot as a belief in reincarnation and past lives. It is often addressed here as always having such as a unifying characteristic, but it isn’t. Otherkin is identifying as non-human, and nothing else in it is completely universal.
This encompasses psychological kin who believe their identity was subconsciously created by their brain for various reasons. This doesn’t change that we don’t consciously choose our kintype.
Any questions, you can reblog and I’ll try my best to answer.

Firstly, I have huge respect for spirirtual therians and otherkin. This is not meant in any way to offend anybody whose kintype is also a past life. If it does, I am sorry.
Basically what I’m saying is that kintypes and past lives are two different things, although for many people they crossover. However, this is not always the case.
I made this because the misconception that kintypes are always past lives is very common - something that caused me a lot of worry when I first joined the community, because I had no idea that psychological therians / otherkin existed, and I’ve spoken to other psychological therians / kin who’ve had the same experience.
