the problem with how people characterize narumitsu is that they only see them as the grumpy and the sunshine ship dynamic, so they end up writing phoenix as a golden retriever and miles as an old gay queen.

but like, phoenix is such a bitch. the bitchiest bitch that ever bitched, actually. he enjoys sarcasm and trash talking, but he has this thing called "situational awareness", so he knows not to behave like a massive cunt in front of people involved in a murder investigation

on the other hand miles gets easily flustered and his fight or flight response to being caught off guard is spitting a venomous comeback. but in his head he's making puns. he's thinking about how the plants are beautiful. he's like an easily spooked horse who is also a dork that gets into a staring contest with a dog. and then loses

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

Linked two specific ones I could think off in the comments that should scratch that itch.

I have many more but no time atm to go through my bookmarks and link them all.

I'm gonna be a dick ok, pun intended.

Everytime I am reading some flavor of morally gray Tim drake or just Bamf and I see a scene of like Cass or Stephanie going no Tim we don't kill or like reminding him I get annoyed.

Why are they boiled down to moral compass especially in a story where we don't need one.

Punch on the arm no killing.

Boring and annoying.

Instead make them murdery.

Cass doesn't kill I know but in a story where her and Tim together are going dark side throw it out or make it so she's not killing and just not essentially saying the same exact line 20,000 times and doing nothing else.

It's Cassandra Wayne her character isn't just killing bad and being boring what.

I don't think this made sense but like I'm bored I want badass fics except the moment Cass comes it's no murder and that's it.

when i was at walgreens (at 3 in the morning which explains all of this) the cashier was talking to her coworker about how shed rather be a werewolf than a vampire because vampires are condemned to hell but werewolves arent and then she asked me what i thought and i said vampire because im already condemned to hell and she said in the nicest tone of voice “i dont think anybody is condemned to hell….” paused, stared at me for a few moments, and added on “…not even gay people”
