Secrets That Will Help You Achieve Your Success
There really is no secret to success, it all comes down to wanting it enough to do the things that are necessary for success. There are many reasons, (what I really mean is excuses, but I wanted to be polite), for not doing some of these things.
They can be fear of failure, a fear of success and even a lack of belief. But in reality, we're all capable of achieving so much more than we think, we just need to apply ourselves.
Here are simple things that you can do that will help you to achieve your goals.
Tumblr media
Set Clear Goals.
Now, this first one might sound obvious, but you would be amazed at how many companies and entrepreneurs lack clear goals. When you ask them they will say yes I have goals, but when pressed one quickly sees that the goals are not that clear. I recently worked with a client that wanted to double their revenue in the next 3-5 years.
Now while that might seem clear, it actually not that clear.
Is the goal to do it in 3 years or 5 years because the approach for those two are completely different, and without a clear approach the chances of success are slim at best.
By setting clear goals we have put a stake in the ground, we have made a commitment, and that will change our entire attitude.
Create a Plan to Meet Those Goals
Once we have the clear goals, and these should be time-based, then we can start to create a plan.
This doesn't have to be massively detailed, but it should at least explain how we're going to achieve the goal, because when we have a believable plan, it will increase our belief which is critical to success.
The plan should also state how much progress over time we will make so that we can track performance and make adjustments if we find we are falling behind schedule.
Prioritise Better
One of the most common excuses I hear from my clients is I don't have enough time. The reality is, it hasn't anything to do with time at all, it all comes down to what we prioritize as more important.
I have one client who is a single parent, she has three young kids, is a CEO of a large demanding organization, she travels extensively and is at the same time setting up her next business venture. When I ask her how she finds the time, she says it's just a question of prioritization. I look at things, and if it doesn't help me achieve my goals, then it gets deprioritized.
We have lots of demands on our time, but not all of them are important, and it important to say no to the things that don't help us.
No Mananas
If you never start then you will never achieve anything, and putting thigs off until tomorrow, or next week, or until there is a full moon, or whatever your excuse is it's not going to help you achieve your goals.
So take an attitude of no mananas, do what you need to do it and do it today.

Ways To Achieve Your Life Goals
Having ambition and setting goals is a massive part of who you are, so don’t take it lightly. Whether you’ve your heart set on running a marathon, starting a business or dropping a dress size, everything is achievable. It just takes the right mindset.
Tumblr media
Choose Goals That Inspire You
Set goals that are personal to you and will inspire you to reach new heights. Don’t follow the crowd and mimic the ambitions of friends - pursue something you’re passionate about, something that genuinely interests you. This helps create a sense of purpose that will motivate you to stop thinking and start doing.
Be Proactive
Life goals are the ones you dream about happening ‘one day’ but never today. This approach has to change if you want make things happen. You need to stop scrolling through social media, wishing you had that job, that lifestyle, that social life and instead, get out there and be proactive.
No More Negativity
American writer Earl Nightingale once said “our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us” and it’s true. Project negativity to the world and it will come right back at you. Tell yourself ‘you can’t do this and you can’t do that’ and you won’t be able to do it. As cliche as it sounds, having a ‘can do attitude,’ even if you’re faking it, can really help you realise your goals. Whenever doubt starts to creep into your mind, swat it away and be a glass half full kind of person.
Be Balanced
It’s easy to get obsessed with goal setting. You’re hooked and will do anything to get where you want to be. However, this carries the risk of burnout. Be realistic with your aims from the very beginning. Having drive is good, but remember that you’re also human and need rest and recuperation like everybody else.
Create a timetable and set aside enough time each day or week to work on your goal. For instance, if you want to enter a 10k race, your first step should be drawing up a training plan - one which ticks off the right amount of training without the risk of exhaustion. Need a hand? Check out our challenge selection to get started.
Break It Down
Setting goals and achieving them is hard. There are no shortcuts or easy routes, but that’s what makes the experience so rewarding.
If you start to feel overwhelmed, break everything down. Not just in terms of time but action points too. Specifically outlining what you want to achieve, when and by what means will make your goals feel much more attainable.
Embrace Failure
Goal setting rarely runs smoothly. You will hit stumbling blocks that make you question why you attempted in the first place, but that’s part of it, and the sooner you accept that the better. Rather than letting failure bring you down, acknowledge that it’s happened and learn from it. Take note of what worked well, what didn’t and move on. It’ll make you a stronger goal setter.
Tell Everyone
The first rule of goal setting is, talk about goal setting. Tell everyone who’ll listen what your plans are and how you intend to bring them to fruition. The added pressure will motivate you to act upon your words. What’s more, it also provides networking opportunities. Nurturing long term business goals? The more people you speak to, the better chance you’ll have of meeting individuals you can collaborate with and surpass your targets.
Get Help
Don’t struggle alone. Sometimes there’s only so far you can take a project before you need a new perspective. This can be anything - maybe you’re training for a half marathon and no matter how hard you try, you can’t get your PB under that enviable 2 hour mark. At this point, you could perhaps call on the advice of a friend or even get in touch with realbuzz; our vibrant community of bloggers are sure to have a tip or two.
Track Your Progress
A huge incentive to make the finish line can be seeing how far you’ve come already. If your weight loss success has suddenly hit a standstill and you're tempted to fall back into old (bad) habits, remind yourself of how well you’ve done up to this point.
Throughout your goal setting journey take pictures, keep a diary, even vlog your experience. Keeping track of good weeks and bad weeks also helps you to address your weaknesses and how to overcome them.
Visualise The End Result
Losing sight of the end result will encourage you to veer off course. One of the best ways to stay motivated is by visualising the change you want to see. Make this image clear in your mind - the ‘you’ in X amount of weeks time - so when the odd setback does happen, you won’t be fazed and will come back stronger than ever.
And when you do hit your target, treat yourself; you deserve it. Managed to make it around the marathon course blister-free? There’s a post-race beer with your name on it.

Steps for Guaranteed Goal Achievement
Achievement tastes sweet but requires sweat. Technically defined as the process or fact of achieving something, it is related to the drive to improve or reach excellent standards no matter the field we are talking about. Goals can be as diverse as human beings pursuing them. But according to Stephen Gribben in his Key Coaching Models book, all of them share the same way to achievement through five unmistakable steps to be carefully followed.
Tumblr media
Step 1: Set your goal
The difference between those who may wish and hope and those who actually believe and expect is the focus, the drive, and the direction coming from having a specific set goal. Without a goal, there is no real sense of achievement. Goals need to be defined. And written just to start. Because according to research conducted by Dr. Gail Matthews from Dominican University in California, a written goal is 42% more likely to happen.
Step 2: Analyse the ultimate benefits and impacts
Watered with motivation, achievers can passionately work for internal reasons that go beyond purely external drivers, pursuing goals with energy and resilience. Analyzing the ultimate benefits and impacts of a goal, center the focus on the "Why" behind it. The more reasons we have to achieve our goals, the bigger motivation we will get to do so. What is the value of this goal and the opportunities that it will bring? What are the impacts that could be expected both for us or others?
Step 3: Put together your strategy for reaching your goal
Planning is one of the most essential strategies associated with the achievement of any goal. A serious action plan based on daily goals as markers to stick to and focus on is basic for goal-achievement. As a comprehensive process to find the different "Hows," this step focuses on the ways, strategies, options, possible plans, and actions to reach the goal. What learning and development actions do we need to undertake? What resources will we need to perform them? How shall we overcome obstacles to my learning? All alternatives should be taken into consideration rather than focusing immediately on the most obvious ones.
Step 4: Implement your strategy with energy
This step requires to set a specific date and time for the goal to be achieved. Leaving out a particular beginning and end date makes it easier to put off actions that may bring the target closer. This date that can totally be time-framed and not just time-bound measures the level of our commitment and separates a wish or hope from a firm and steady resolution.
Step 5: Continue to evaluate and control your strategy
Effective goal setting involves creating specific means of measuring progress toward achieving a goal and ultimate achievement. When we are serious about achieving something, we need to track the progress. If our goals are not testable, then they haven’t been thought through enough. To be rich isn’t a goal. It’s a wish. To save $10,000 dollars per year is a measurable goal. Whatever our goal is, we need to figure out how to measure whether we are having any success in moving toward it.
