I have decided that each year I want to find a purpose or theme to center around and meditate on. Today I went to yoga and while I’m by no means an expert I find this- my body is my temple and yoga is my church. And meditation is my key to connecting it all. I’ve always been an emotional person - when I was young I didn’t know how to control my emotions so I was stuck in a place of not accepting and using them to my benefit. Now, at 28 years old, I realize that emotional reactions are a way of our body telling us that we need to reflect. Why do we feel the way we do? What do we need to do about it? How can we find the balance? Balance. That’s my theme for this year. Before I was always trying to “pay my dues” and Work hard to earn the ultimate prize. I’m not sure what it was at the time, and I still don’t. What I do know is that as I get older, I realize that I’ve worked for these goals, worked hard for other people, and now it’s time to step back. It’s time for balance.
