Playing Pikmin 1 after being so used to 2 and 3 is such a wild time. It's really rough around the edges but in ways that make it so much fun to talk about
#ftr I love this game#I plucked a Pikmin right as the sunset counter finished and now there's just a permanent#ghost pik#in the forest navel#there's no sprout but the counter is set to 1 at the start of every day#also idk if I'm just too used to cheesing them in the later games but fighting Wollywogs?#MISERABLE#I honestly prefer to just distract them rather than bother killing them#everything feels like it has so much health and the health bars give basically no indication bc they get Stuck(?) a lot#Also starting with 1 as a kid is definitely why I feel the need to constantly supervise my Piks when they carry things#cause in 1 they'll take THE WORST ROUTES#there's a shorter clear path right there and they'll just#run back through the snagrets#it's like WHERE ARE YOU GOING!!!! WH#note that this is all said w extreme fondness I love these kinds of experiences
