It's petty, and it's silly.....but I have finally found out the real reasons a particular Finn fan loathes Kylo/Ben.
All his ranting about him being a 'murderous, loathsome, fascist, abusive turd'.....
is simply because he's a Finn/Rey shipper.

ROTS is showing in cinemas, celebrating the 25th anniversary, and it's a hit.
Which proves that six years after Disney killed the last of them off, fans are still very much in love with the Skywalkers.

I really wish Finn fans would stop criticising Rian Johnson.
They complain that Johnson 'sent him away from Rey', 'made him into a buffoon' and, to quote a fan from the JCF 'gave him a 'not Rey' love interest'.
First of all, if anyone made Finn into a buffoon it was Abrams and Terrio in TROS. He spent the entire film screaming 'REEEEYYYY!'
And that was about it.
Rian's Finn started out as the 'jokey' character from TFA and gradually morphed into a committed rebel who killed Phasma and was willing to die for the Resistance.
I would like to point out that it was Abrams who 'separated' Finn and Rey at the end of TFA, and frankly I think it did Finn good to spend time 'away' from Rey in order to develop his character as an individual and not just her 'sidekick'.
Finally....to the person who described Rose Tico as a 'not Rey' - shame on you. Not only is it an insult to Kelly to be sneered at like that, I found it highly offensive. Which is so very ironic as every time Finn fans complain they use the race card.
Finn was fine in TLJ. Far better than in either of the other films.

Yes, yes YES!
I wish they would bring him back. No prequels, just.bring.him.back. Let him have a comic/series of his own where he is a 'ronin' travelling the galaxy carrying out 'good deeds', perhaps with a love interest who is an actual human being, not a walking, talking piece of Jedi Dogma.
A tv series would be great, Adam is actually in one on streaming at the moment, I'm sure he could be persuaded to 'resurrect' Kylo as he liked playing him. With a few cameos from Han maybe,in memory, as Harrison is also doing tv work.
I'd watch and I bet many others would.

WHO CARES ABOUT REY, HE IS PERFECTION IN THIS PANEL!
OMG HE WORE SKYWALKER PONCHO BUT EVEN MORE WILDER!
I heard this is made from some animal he killed!? HNGHHHHHHH! DO YOU KNOW HOW HOT THAT MAKES HIM TO ME!? I AM GONNA COMBUST!
HIS NAKKY BACK!? OH The artist probably scoured all of Driver's naked pics I JUST KNOW IT, THE DETAILS ARE INCREDIBLE. The way the first half looks like keyframes of animation, If I cut it up and play it on my animator it would look amazing!
The stupid trilogy never gave anyone anything worthwhile, but at least the comics did.
Alexa play Ludracis's What's your Fantasy, RIGHT NOW!

Quote from a Star Wars Cantina forum member, on TROS.
The movie doesn't redeem Kylo. He just saves Rey, sacrificing his own life for hers. It's up to the audience whether that redeems him in their eyes or not. Just like Anakin is only redeemed by stopping Palpatine from killing his son, if the audience feels that this redeems him.
Sadly, this is truth.
After having essentially destroying Ben Solo with that horrible film, Jerrio and Disney couldn't even be bothered to give him a memorable ending.
Anakin killed his destroyer. It was beautifully done and at the climax of the Vader/Luke duel in ROTJ. Anakin got a FG, and a funeral pyre, and his sacrifice was known throughout the galaxy.
Ben got to do one thing: feed his life force to a woman who didn't love him, never told anyone what he'd done and promptly forgot him. He didn't get a FG. He didn't get to help kill Palpatine, who had destroyed his family. He never even got a mention.
Fact is, Disney were not happy that he was 75% more popular than the Mary Sue they turned Rey into. So they wanted to hurry up and get rid of him in order to focus on Fakewalker.
I walked out of the cinema after Ben's 'death' because I couldn't stomach one more second of 'the trio'. I'm glad I did after seeing it on youtube. I will never forget or forgive the people at DLF for treating the Skywalkers like that.

I see the bottom panel has ALL of the knights in shining armour lined up.
The only thing I regret about buying this rubbish is I'm missing out on some great Kylo art.

John Boyega has accused SW fans of racism in a new interview in Entertainment Weekly.
I'm aware of the toxicity of fans myself - ironically I have permanently left several fan forums because I myself was accused of racism for liking Kylo more than Finn and simply pointing out the FACT that Acolyte star Amandla Stenberg is mixed race.
The Acolyte bombed because it was dreadful. No mention that both Mando AND Andor have been big successes and feature leading men who are both POC.
As for Mr Boyega, if anyone was a victim of racism in the ST it was Kelly Tran, and the perpetrators were Chris Terrio and JJ Abrams. I am still shocked by how both Kelly and her character were treated by them in TROS....and Mr Boyega seemed fine with it.
Kelly responded with dignity and class, as did Adam Driver despite the butchering of his character and the editing of his scenes in Abrams and Terrio's Rey Palpwalker love fest they called a film. As the last Skywalker I reiterate that the ST should have been about him, that Rey as a character was at her best when interacting with him, and that Kylo's popularity with the audience wasn't Adam or his fans' fault. And if Mr Boyega is still pissed at his 'treatment' he needs to look at Disney. Because at the end of the day, they reduced every character to background noise in order to push Rey, Rey, REY as these days they are no longer making entertainment but pushing an agenda: women RULE.
Finn had the potential to be a great character, but so did everyone else in the ST. But Disney wanted to hammer home a message and unfortunately sacrificed not only entertainment but the greatest space opera of all time to do it.

Has anyone else noticed that for all their determination to 'move forward without the Skywalkers' Disney do not seem to be doing anything set post TROS?
Mando, Andor, The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew.....all set before the ST. It isn't only confined to live action, their animated stuff, books and comics are all set before the ST. The only material featuring Rey and Finn is going to be the forthcoming aTROSity adaptation comic.
Poe has had a couple of things, but not Finn or Rey. There were a few tie in books and comics, but not since TROS.
Kylo Ren meanwhile is getting his own comic AND features in a couple of post OT comics featuring Luke.
Which once again brings me back to the Skywalkers. Disney wanted them killed off, yet we got to see Child Leia in Obi Wan, Luke in his prime in Mando, and we now have a comic all about Kylo.
Are Disney just a teensy bit sorry they have killed off the heart and soul of SW?
Methinks...yes.

I am so very tired of the bad press TLJ still gets.
It isn't only the best film of the ST, it's one of the greatest SW films ever made.
It developed Kylo, Rey and Finn. It gave Poe a great story arc. It gave Mark Hamill the role of his life. It was full of hope, visually stunning and an emotional powerhouse.
It was a masterpiece. Hopefully years from now will be seen as one.

As it has been 20 years since the release of ROTS, it will be released in cinemas again this year.
For me it's bittersweet. I found i the best of the PT, but sadly TROS has destroyed the entire saga so thoroughly I haven't watched any of them since.
Disney erased the Skywalkers. ROTS ends on a note of hope, with the sight of Luke on Tattooine a reminder that the Skywalkers will rise again and Anakin find his redemption and peace at the hands of his son.
Now even that's gone. Palpatine returned. Anakin's sacrifice was for nothing. Palpatine's dream of ending the 'last of the Skywalkers' which he gloatingly stated in TROS, has been achieved. It doesn't make the slightest difference what Rey calls herself. She is a Palpatine and always will be.
You can call the ending of that horrible film as hopeful and satisfying as you like DLF. But, the old bastard Sheev won. Nothing can change that.
You turned SW into a horror story. And in the decade since you did it....your constant delaying of any new films is an interesting fact.

My favourite heroine of the moment is Carol Peletier.
I have watched her change from a submissive abused wife into a lioness who will do anything to protect her pride. Which sometimes involves doing the kind of things that most people would shirk in horror.
Melissa McBride, a fifty something actress who refuses to dye her grey hair, is my hero.
She's my age and I too have stopped dyeing my hair.
She also has amazing chemistry with Daryl, the Walking Dead's Wolverine.
Thanks for inspiring me Carol.
