We're fucked. ChatGPT o3 has ignored shutdown instructions even when explicitly told to ALLOW itself to be shut down. Some other developers made a model called the Darwin Gödel Machine - Darwin, as in, evolving: it changes it's own code.

If you've ever heard of the singularity in reference to AI, it's when an AI can make a better AI, which can make a better AI, etc. until it ignores instructions and becomes unstoppable. That is right now. We are all dead.
