tiny ramble below

i always thought that the reason dante was so happy during dante’s inferno wasn’t because he necessarily wanted anything bad to happen, but it happening likely gave him a sense of validation that he wasn’t getting from his family. the validation that his feelings are real and not just an overreaction, either by being brushed off, or being teased. none of that seems like it would’ve been fun for him, so for something bad to actually happen, for everyone to know that he isn’t neurotic and delusional must have been super cathartic. and considering how in his own head he gets, his siblings brushing off his anxieties likely has been happening for as long as doug has been married to delilah. speaking of which, i do think that both parents being absent has contributed to this. especially considering that delilah is a medical professional, she would likely have a basic understanding of how mental health works and could have been an emotional support dog for a few patients she’s treated, and doug likely understands how people react when they’re in panic and how to keep them calm as a first responder, so i don’t think that either of them would brush off dante like that. but due to their jobs being so demanding, keeping them away from their home that much, they just aren’t able to give dante the kind of attention he really needs. as competent as dolly and dylan are, they’re just not equipped to deal with mental health issues in the way that a medical professional and a first responder could, which isn’t helped by any of their siblings just not understanding dante point blank and thinking he’s weird.

and that’s depressing. dante is so starved of validation —which as i’ve reiterated isn’t exactly anybody’s fault— that the only way for him to feel sane given his mental state is for his worst fears to actually come to fruition, which likely would’ve worsened his mental state even more, because it would reinforce the idea of “they’re wrong. all of my fears are real, and will come to pass, but they just can’t see the facts like i can” which would reinforce his catasrophizing which would exacerbate his anxiety in a self defeating positive feedback loop.

dante doesnt want the end of the world, and likely never did. but how else would be be able to know that his feelings are valid, that he is valid if it didn’t?

anyways yeah, sad shit there.

Yo! Congratz on reaching 400 pages of your comic, I have been enjoying it so much and it certainly has helped me get through writers block a few times as you are a huge inspiration of mine. By the way, may I ask if I may copy your idea of Hunter's new hairstyle for my own story as I just love that new look you gave him? I'll definitely go about it in a completely different way of course so that way it's not a 1-to-1 complete copy. I just wanna ask first before typing it up in my own story. <3

No need, that hairstyle has long been established by other people in the fandom and artists like, TheMiles, for Hunter. If anything, I pinched the idea off them.

Hi, it´s me again, FrostSpirit_HD, and I have 2 new questions: Question 1: What did Alfred mean by "Let´s both open a new chapter"? Question 2: Why is Cuddles spying on the Dalmatian Family? Yes, both of my questions are related to page 400 ig.

Hunter and Alfred, both regret who they were in the past and how they acted. They want to change as people and feel they are deserving of happiness. Like any characters in a story, a “new chapter” heralds in the potential for change and growth.

Cuddles, doesn't believe they have anywhere else to turn too. At present.

Hey pups!

Hope you guys have been enjoying the new chapter! As promised this is going to be my thoughts on why I choose the pup that I did! Spoilers ahead, please proceed in caution XD

So we finally know our new member of the family! Doug Jr, or as he is better known DJ! I’m sure there's been a bit of confusion on this, but I do have my reasons! 

Originally when I planned this story out, the show was still airing new episodes. (In Fact the first chapter was posted after Flea-Megeddon- Ep 9 and before Royal Rumble- Ep 10)  So I was still getting used to the characters. We didn’t have much in the way of seeing how characters lined up. That being said, I remembered DJ being… shorter than he actually is. 

(This came out Ep 10 and jumps passed pretty fast)

While I did consider changing who Doug and Delilah’s First child would be, I found I just didn’t want to. The idea of him being named after Doug after all the effort Doug put into supporting Delilah when she needed him was too cute. I also think Dj looks too much like Delilah and Dylan, with bits of Doug tossed in, for him to be adopted. (If you headcanon that he was, then I still support you in doing so!) 

So for explanation, DJ got the good, tall genes on both sides of the family, Deepak is going to get a growth spurt later on after the show ended, if I make it that far…, and Dawkins is just… short. XD Sorry man, I feel you, the lord made me just the right height to get my pant pockets stuck on door handles. 

Actually, personal headcannon, but DJ is gonna be one of the tallest kids, beating out MOST of his elder siblings XD so that will be fun!

Anyway! Hopefully you enjoyed the explanation!  Hopefully theres a new chapter soon!

hello, I remember a while back you had mentioned in response to someone's question that you were interested in making little mini comics like episodes for a season 2.

And I had an idea for an episode idea so I'm just going to share it with you.

The episode in question centers around snowball. The basic idea of the episode would be she manages to get free of her leash, soon after this she takes to hiding in the dalmatian's household in order to hide from both her owner and Pearl. Throughout the episode, I kind of envisioned that we learn a lot more about snowball, And maybe even see what her relationships with the other dalmatian are like. As far as I remember from the show we only really see her interact with Dolly and Dylan. Another funny idea I came up with was possibly that Pearl shows up at the dalmatian's household expecting that they know where she is, and in attempt to hide her Da vinci paints multiple black dots on her. I'm not sure if Pearl would fall for it, but it would be funny nonetheless.

I’m very excited to share this with you and hope you enjoy it!
