okay so I have this idea for a new therapy thing. basically the idea is after an abusive relationship or a combat deployment or anything that might conceivably leave you with PTSD and a loss of ability to reasonably gauge how bad the shit that happened to you actually was, you sit there with a mental health professional for like, a solid 30 to 60 minutes, you tell them short vignettes of your experiences and they respond ONLY by rating how fucked up each one was on a scale from 1 to 10 and then you move on. the objective isn't to reflect deeply on specific experiences but to get a sustained series of reassurances that what you went through was, in fact, That Bad and gradually rebuild your trust in your own present and future ability to judge when what you're going through isn't okay.

currently calling it Rapid Fire Affirmation and Recalibration Therapy (RAP-FART). working title, open to feedback.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

It's funny but in both The Weirwood Queen and in canon I actually dislike Cersei less than her two brothers despite her being much more horrible then either of them. Maybe its just due to Cersei being so hilariously incompetent and it being painfully obvious she was going to fall hard from her first pov chapter. I mean both Varys and Littlefinger are counting on her being in charge for their own plots to work out.

I agree tbh? Cersei is so goddamn entertaining, she's an incredible villain. And that despite the fact that she's the only one of her siblings to have babies murdered! What a delightful icon of a monster.

Maybe it's my modern leans speaking (and some infamous reddit stories), but naming a kid after one of the parents past lovers is kinda eyebrow raising to me.

Fair enough! In the medieval era, most countries had ~10 names per gender that almost everyone used. More importantly, Jeyne wasn't a "former lover", she was Robb's wife, and died tragically 5 years ago. Margaery is being extremely generous/thoughtful by choosing a name that preserves Jeyne W's memory, which is both a kind gesture and an extremely clever tactic to get Robb to soften toward Margaery. She's a smart cookie ;)
