I met John a long time ago at Woolton Village Fete, and in all the years I knew him I saw a man of many faces, sometimes aggressive, sometimes warm and gentle.

Linda and I hope that this special edition of Club Sandwich will keep alive the memory of a very special man who was loved by us all and who did so much to promote peace, love and understanding in a world that didn't always want to listen.

We dedicate this issue to John, Yoko and their loved ones.
