I appreciate the sentiment behind this, but encouraging children to miss even more school than they already have over the past two years is a terrible idea. https://bit.ly/3GDJS0X #edreform https://bit.ly/3GKqY8Y

This is a great (and very true) thread... The focus on a fight over the admission process at a single high school overshadows the much bigger, system-wide failures happening in SFUSD. #edreform https://bit.ly/3NwtTEe

Former (as of mid-March) SF school board member pointedly asks why the current board hasn't completed a school safety plan & support services assessment that she failed to do anything about during her 3+ yrs in office...🤔 #edreform https://bit.ly/3wLcfXY

This quote is just nonsensical... Is he arguing that otherwise he (a self-described liberal) would have voted for Trump, who he is ideologically opposed to and would have done nothing about his $100k in student loans? #edreform #politics https://bit.ly/39P0CpF

This is so much more important than tearing down the barriers preventing the construction of multi-family housing in #California or requiring novice teachers to earn tenure rather than just make it through their first 18 months on the job... #edreform #politics https://bit.ly/3yU53tP

Let's be honest: Americans' views are a lot more complex than simply "a majority thinks we should cancel student debt..." #edreform #politics https://bit.ly/3ySsNi4 https://bit.ly/3MJy27Z

The embrace of phonics-based literacy instruction, an approach backed by decades of scientific research, is a "seismic shift" for nation's largest school district. Now tell me we don't have serious problems in American public education. #edreform https://bit.ly/3yxING4

Great piece from @jonathanchait on the Biden Admin's proposed charter regs. It's worth the 1,107 tweets he probably received in response accusing him of a conspiracy involving his wife, shadowy corporate interests, and "neoliberals"... https://bit.ly/3w68Fau #edreform #politics https://bit.ly/39Z8Wn5

Wholeheartedly agree w/ @willsutton on this one. At a time of polarization & cutthroat politics, @JPschools board voted to add two minority seats, the first expansion of the board in 40 yrs. Fundamental fairness beat naked self-interest for a change. #NOLAed #LaEd #edreform https://bit.ly/3soEklm

Ugh. This is shoddy history bordering on absurdity. Perhaps there was some racism mixed in, but school segregation was not the "hidden motive" behind the Religious Right's rise. Not even close. 1979 was a full 6 yrs after #Roe, but it was also 25 yrs after Brown. 1/6 #edreform https://bit.ly/3Fgc4Xb

This sure beats slowly taking attendance or watching the teacher spend 10 minutes trying to locate their overhead markers before sending a student to borrow one from the classroom next door. #edreform https://bit.ly/39w7Ej3
