“Well the truth is fairly boring. It’s all about power. Trade routes. And basically…” Lora starts.

“We don’t know who started it. But whoever it was made a bunch of clones. Which the Jedi have taken in. And they’re helping us protect people.” Obi wan adds.

“But this isn’t what we’re supposed to do. We aren’t supposed to fight. And using the clones isn’t right.” Lora argues.

“Sometimes fighting is the only way to protect people. Sometimes fighting is the only way you don’t end up dead!” Obi Wan exclaims.

“Excuse me… I’m going to go check our arrival time…” he stands up and runs a hand through his hair before leaving the room.

Lora arches a brow and looks at Anakin. She’d ask him about that later.

“You know. When Master Windu said I’d be sharing a master with the chosen one I had mixed feelings too. You can’t be everywhere at once Anakin. You’re the chosen one and a general. The Jedi have bigger plans for you than the empty title of a master.”

“Do you really want to sit and argue with the council all the time? I had Master Windu as my master for a bit and believe me. He’s not a fun man to argue with.” She smiles a bit nudging his boot with hers under the table.

“Well I can hardly blame you. I prefer the green milk myself. But it’s so hard to get during this war.” Obi Wan replies.

“Have the others spoken to you about the war?” He asks.

“Oh hello Anakin. Do sit. We have a very busy day today. I’ve neglected to tell you. But I have a knighting ceremony to do when we arrive. Lora had passed her trials a master ago. But then her master left the order. Which of course rather upset things for her.” He takes a bite of his pancakes.

“I almost had to fistfight Master Windu for the honor. It seems she’s much like I was being passed around from master to master. And he was one such master. You know I’d seen her around when we were both younglings. She’s improved very much.” Obi Wan rambles.

It isn’t long before Lora herself rejoins them. Her hair is all up in a French twist excepting for her Padewan braid.

“Good morning master Kenobi.” She says taking a seat next to Lilo.

“Good morning Lora. Are you excited?” Obi Wan asks.

“Nervous. I’ve seen you with a saber.” She teases.

“Oh very funny.” Obi Wan sighs.

“I don’t think he does either.” Lora retorts as she stands. “Okay smartass-“ she says shoving him gently out the door.

“Seriously I need to shower. See you in a bit.”

Lora smiles. “Thanks chosen one. But you can’t carry everyone’s burdens. It isn’t heathy. You should go before Obi Wan questions why you’re in the bathroom while I’m showering.” She nudges him with her elbow.

“My father wasn’t the best. So loud noises frighten me. Especially when I’m vulnerable.” She looks over at him searching his face for understanding.

“While I am glad you aren’t harmed my friend. You’re setting a terrible example for Lilo. Besides I believe you’re better than using that kind of language. You aren’t a monster. So don’t behave like one.” He scolds gently.

“Now go sit down while I cook for you.” He says setting him down on the floor.

He switches back to basic.

“I would like very much to hear about where you live. I’ve never gone to the sol system.”

Obi jogs into the room and yoinks Stitch away from the stove. He uses the force to take away the knife.

“Your sister must be a saint…” he mutters as he runs stitch’s hands under some water.

He was very glad at the prospect of passing along these younglings to other masters.

Lora runs the water but doesn’t get into the shower. Instead sitting down on the floor. The door still unlocked. Hugging herself.

And with that he goes to make space pancakes for the younglings.

“I’m fine-“ Lora snaps after a moment. “I’m going to go take a shower.” She says grabbing some fresh robes as she leaves the room.

Obi Wan frowns. He knows why she’s acting like this.

He leans against the doorframe thinking for a moment.

“We should go feed the younglings.” He says after a moment.

Lora jolts upright. Her Saber flying into her hand. She activated it and then freezes as she saw the children. deactivating it. Trembling and putting her free hand over her chest.

She’s panting. Her saber hilt still in her hand.

There’s the sounds of someone running and Obi Wan is in the doorway. Looking terrified and clearly having just rolled out of bed.

He scans the room. And then sighs.

“Why don’t you little ones head to the kitchen?” He asks.
