THANKS !!!!! its rlly hard to find info on older rblx stuff, ik theres the wiki but i do use the antifandom plugin and it tends to break the roblox wiki. but i will keep this in mind.... my brain doesnt like looking at retro rblx just for nostalgias sake its also like. genuine interest in past history of the website and the online communities that popped up around it. thanks so much for the resources

so where i go to get my information on admins (and even exploiters) is usually the roblox forum archive if anything. you can search for users on it and if you click on the titles of the posts, it takes you to the original thread/reply :D

sometimes the roblox wiki has things, but i recommend looking at its sources

and as for how to FIND admins to begin with, i just look at the employee list and open 1 billion tabs until i find a freak of nature that i enjoy and read about

but what to do with all this knowledge? I HAVE NO IDEA. i just ramble about them to my friend but i too yearn for a community to headcanon strange people in

oh and finding exploiters is significantly more difficult. what my friend does is look through compromised/terminated accounts and then see what that user potentially leads to and whatnot. it's a whole process

guys i deadass completely forgot pride month was a thing because ive been in a complete blocktales demo 4 fueled haze literally all day the moment it was dropping. I have not stopped thinking about it. I have yapped so much in friends dms and groupchats about the demo. I was up till 1-2am assembling a weird collage of everytime a bit of dialogue was highlighted in a very specific shade of red. and then I woke up at like 7am delierious but quickly back on my bullshit when I see people making New Observations and I ended up immediately opening the blocktales preprologue again to see one very specific thing I missed. and still am so delierious about Everything that happened. I'm beyond autistic. im actually insane. spaceman moonbase what have you done

OMG I FORGOT ABT THIS ASK ive been really thinking of incorporating like. the future / destroyed maytown and the time shenanigans from the first game (techinally blue stars because i play that one more) into my rewrite stuff but i havent had the motivations to actually go abt making designs and writing stuff. if u meant drawing it than maaaaybe ? i will have to get better at places and shapes and buildings . channel my inner house of leaves / my house.wad fan to draw like. the sharp corners of buildings. you get it

if you’re a creative struggling to find motivation, the best advice I can give from my (short, but still enlightening) work on my current project is something that might be obvious but I still think is worth saying.

You have to make something you enjoy making.

not just the concepts you like and think the final product will be great. The ideas you will enjoy the process of making

That means a few things. Number one, your amazing idea that is so interesting and so fantastic and might be the best art in the world? You might not enjoy making that. And if you’re not enjoying it, then of course you won’t have the motivation. Instead, find the projects you want to work on rather than just the projects you think you should work on. Alternatively, make your fantastic idea different, tweak it to be more fun to create even if it’s executed in a way you might not think is as good as your original idea. It’s better to get your art out there than to never finish anything.

Number two, don’t take it 100% seriously. Have fun with it. Create because you want to. If you wanna do something with your project but are worried about whether that’s the “right” direction, you’re allowed to do it just because it’s what you want to do. It’s art, there is no right or wrong as long as there is intention.

Number 3, the projects you want to work on will still be projects that provide value to the world. Art is a vast and diverse thing. I love seeing art of all sorts. You don’t have to create something that changes the way a person views the world or something that sticks with someone for their whole life to create something meaningful. You don’t have to make massive projects to make something meaningful. Sometimes I like to laugh. I enjoy small comics or short games or brief animatics. It doesn’t have to be ambitious to deserve to exist.

I’ve always wanted to make games, and for about a year I was really struggling to find an idea that I wanted to work on. There were some really good ideas I had. But one day a stupid idea popped into my head and a few days later, I was sitting down and learning to code. I had ideas I spent months thinking about and had never started coding once.

Now, I have ended up with a project I am super passionate about. Were some of my other ideas better? It doesn’t matter. They were never created. And over time, just having fun with the game, I have managed to get something unique and interesting anyways. I have never stuck with a project this long. And it’s all because I am focusing purely on what I enjoy creating and not worrying about anything else. And that’s what art is all about.
