Regan was sitting in a comfy chair in the lounge, watching something on the small screen of  her phone. She was wrapped up in a fairly large sweater- looking nearly identical to the one Julian wore yesterday. Her face lit up when she saw Julian enter the room and waved, flapping the extra long sleeve.

The next day; Julian was not surprised to find that his sweater — one of his favorite sweaters — was missing. He had left Cole and his’ shared dorm as he set out in search of Regan, with the creeping suspicion that if he found her his sweater would not be too far. “Son of a bitch…” Julian muttered as he walked, “Did she really steal my sweater?”

“Aww thank you!” Regan said sincerely, not quite getting Alice’s intended jab. “Where’s that creepy little demon thing that like showed up last time we had a conversation? 

“So am I, if you want to be vague with that term. I think you fall more under the term illusionist, which is just so very you.”

“Hmmm what other secrets can we swap?” Regan thought for a bit. “Wait, omg whats your sign?”

Dee had no idea how to reply to that, and remained silent instead, fidgeting slightly.

“And how, pray tell, do you know that I am going to lose it tomorrow?”

Regan felt uneasy around this girl with the strange complexion. Overt mutants were...well...tacky. Regan didn't know if she should offer pity and help that poor...thing, or what. “No  trust me, its for good. It totally washes you out. Makes you look all gross and grey. You should really burn it. You’re welcome. Oh, and why would I steal it if I already have it?...duh!”

“Steal my sweater and the only thing you’ll be wearing is a body bag.”

“Uh… I’m fairly sure that I’m not gonna lose this sweater. Anyways, even if I did lose this sweater I wouldn’t ask to borrow yours… I’m practically more then half a foot taller than you, there is no way it would fit.”

Regan sighed theatrically. “I know! Its hard to think that someone could hate all of this awesomeness. ” she said, thinking Dee was agreeing rather than asking about what that word meant.

“Oh.” She didn’t know that delight was the word she’d use. “Totes?”

“Let me just say, that sweater is so cute! Too bad you’re going to lose it tomorrow. It’s ok though, because I have one just like it! But I won’t let you borrow it.”

Ugh no she totes hated me. Can’t blame her as my dad just kinda dumped me on her and left. But I’m a delight, so she should basically be thanking him.

“Oh. But your step-mother was a parent, right? Why didn’t you like her?” They definitely weren’t the same person, but at least her background might explain some of her strange behavior. “No, it would be pointless.”

“Friend” Finding Experiment, Personal Notes: part 1

ALICE. Ugh what a nerd! She like actually brought up exams first thing during our conversation. Would not want to get stuck talking to that boring ass thing.  Cute shoes tho. They looked expensive. Looked better with shit on them though. At first she was nauseatingly polite, but gained momentum . 3/10 would only talk to if my life depended on it.

JULS was fun! I like him! Great fashion taste, and I know exactly how to push his buttons! He’s super self richous – which is damn easy to exploit. He was like super cranky especially when complimented, but the moment I got in his head, he like totes freaked the fuck out. He even told me he absolutely couldn’t stand me doing that- which is funny because that’s what I do best. He’s going to be a lot of fun to play with. I prob don’t even need to try very hard either. 7/10 would make it a habit.

COLE, dear precious cole. I didn’t know he was a mutant here! My luck is so amazing!  I teased him with the possibility that I knew who he was and his reputation, but like he kinda got a lil weird and started saying all this vague shit about who knows whos. It was so cute. I had a great cover and he totes bought it too! I think im in. Ughhh he would totes be the cutest accessory too. Would match everything in my wardrobe. I must own him. Imagine all the free clothes and stuff I could get from his mom too! 7/10 a little cold but totes worth the effort. UPDATE. Cole is going down. I will do everything in my power to make him bow down to me. Everything. I hate that mr high and mighty know it all. I will tear him to pieces. 0/10 spells revenge.

WIMPY GIRL- didn’t catch her name, but let me tell you, dreams do come true!! So at first I totes thought she was this wimpy pushover- which is super great and everything but omg it gets better. I did my thing with the snake lady and she flipped out to the point of turning into this totally dif person and saying that she found it fun to exploit other’s weaknesses. I think I may have just found my soulmate bff. Like she even puts her self down for me, knows how to fire off insults, Its suuuuper easy to upset her and get her fired up (and so fun to watch too!), oh and she has the potential to become this monster- imagine how much fun we could have taking over the world together! Ughhh a girl can only dream. 10/10 my absolute fav person so far. UPDATE! Her name is Dee. She has sadly become weary of me and has put up a wall. But I think I did a good job of breaking through. She’s exactly where I want her to be.

JULIE, I haven’t quite figured her out yet.  I have literally gained no information about her from talking to her. She is from Beverly hills tho. That’s pretty rad. ?/10

REMY is the worst. Totally condescending. I don’t think he’s capable of an emotion other than condescension- which isn’t even an emotion, but I’ll give it to him because I feel bad for him. He did get a tiny bit defensive/offended when I tried to flirt with him (as if!) so there might be something fun there. I wonder who “his girl” is. 4/10 possible potential.

“I didn't have real parents growing up either. Just a stupid step mom- so we’re basically like the same person! My real dad handed me off to the witch when I was 6, and I’ve been like really looking for him since. Have you ever tried looking for them?”

“No, I didn’t have parents, or I never knew them, at least, but I’m told they were mutants. But as for growing up with people more powerful than I? That was…often very unpleasant.”

“well, when i got my powers life started getting good. Like i wasn't the lying poor kid anymore. I got everything I wanted and everyone started believing me for once.” Regan paused to think. “Wait, who’s ‘they’? Your parents? They must also be mutants too right? What was that like?”

“No. They were stronger than me, even once they activated my powers.” A small smile crossed her face. “Thank you.”
