What I learned in my Artist/Product Management class at Full University.
I Just wrapped up an incredible month in my Artist and Product Management class, and what a journey it’s been. One of the key takeaways for me is understanding that the artist manager is essentially an extension of the artist. This relationship is so crucial because it really shapes how the artist’s vision is communicated to the world.
Equally important is product management. The products an artist sells are not just merchandise; they’re a direct reflection of the artist’s identity and brand. It’s fascinating to see how the right products can resonate with the audience and help build a deeper connection. We’ve also discussed the importance of considering demographics—both the target audience who loves the artist and those who may be unfamiliar with them. It’s a balancing act that requires insight and strategy!
I’ve been looking forward to this class for a while because I aspire to be an artist manager. This deep dive has been exactly what I needed to prepare for my future in the industry. I feel more equipped to navigate the complexities of managing an artist and their brand. I am excited for what’s to come.
