“What… wait– you’re taking me where?” Calcifer questioned, wondering if he heard Stewy correctly. All he knew about the place that the other mentioned, was that it was expensive and something he probably wouldn’t ever try on his own. Cal wasn’t sure what he was getting himself into when bidding for potential dates. It involved charity and he was one to never turn down such an offer when it came to donating. He never imagined to when any of the bets, it felt weird going on a date with someone that wasn’t his boyfriend. Though, it sounded fun and he was always up for meeting someone new. Calcifer was happy to make new friends. “If you’re a city boy… what brought you to Sparkwood?” He asked curiously.
@regvined
“food,” stewy said with a laugh. the other was definitely not the type to be aware of the name of the restaurant he was bring him to, so he wasn’t even going to bother. plus, it was fun to pretend none of this was that big of deal. because, to stewy, it wasn’t. he gave a shrug as he lead the other into the elevator, pressing the button for the top floor. he let out a sigh as he thought about the complicated sequence of events that led him to sparkwood. “oh, you know – sweet revenge and the inability to let things be. plus, i was probably going to be skinned alive by the head of the roy family if i stayed in new york much longer. i’d rather keep this flawless, beautiful skin on my body,” he teased.

𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 feat. @regvined.
elisabeth had still been finding ways to push herself out of her comfort zone, surprised when her father encouraged her to attend the town’s halloween dance and even offered to hire a babysitter for her little sister just so she could go out and enjoy herself. she was determined to take advantage of her rare night out, trying to generate small talk here and there with people that she recognized from school. that’s when she noticed someone from her classes, deciding to grab a cup of cider and offer it out to the other as she arrived at john-john’s side. “look at how cool you look. are you channeling your inner actor tonight and trying to pull a date? everyone loves a bad boy, right?” she teased.
john-john wouldn't have normally shown up, but it was an event with costumes and he didn’t want to feel left out. though he would never admit it, he felt a need to belong somewhere. he was surprised when elisabeth offered him a drink, taking it carefully. he let out a laugh, shaking his head. “oh, yeah – everyone loves the bad boy while it conveniences them. otherwise, we’ll blame him for everything, right?” he joked. “i’m not really trying to pull anything. unless, you’re offering,” he suggested, flashing the other a smile. perhaps it was too bold of him, but there was no time like the present.

barrett was caught off guard when winston suddenly approached him, desperately wanting to fire back at the other’s comments but he had to take the time to unzip the mouth of his mask beforehand. “i don’t want to ruin your little fantasy so how can i really say no? just know that i’ll be circling back to kink shame you after we finish dancing and head outside to smoke.” he teased before re-zipping his mask before he reached out to take winston’s hand into his own and proceeding to lead the other out onto the dancefloor before he allowed his hands to rest on their hips. he pulled the other’s slender frame closer to him so that their bodies were pressed against one another.
winston was amused as they watched the other unzip his mask, his smirk only widening. “you can kink same me all you want – i might like it,” they continued to tease, throwing barrett a wink before allowing him to pull them along. they easily leaned against him, hands framing barrett’s neck as they looked up at the other. “see, this was what i was looking for. someone who dance and smoke with me so i don’t have to waste my time finding a smoke buddy. two birds with one stone and all,” they said, not expecting the other to respond. they moved their hand to trace their fingertips along the outside of the mask. “i know this wasn’t what you were going for, but it makes you pretty.”

fifty ways to kiss someone. // @rvclaimed winston & soul number 22 ..in a rush of adrenaline.
soul was a few drinks in at the bar watching the hockey game. he wasn’t much of a sports guy be he did like a game where he could actually watch true aggression at times. he was excited as his preferred team was winning and most of the bar was cheering together. sitting with winston he was chatting between periods as the watched the game and finally in the last period the team scored making them win. excitement rushed through the bar and soul and he happily jumps up grabbing the other and pulling him in for a kiss. once he pulled back he noticed what he did and laughs a bit with a small smirk. “oops.”
winston didn’t realize that there was some sort of game going on. if they knew that the whole bar would be invested, they would have gone somewhere else. they weren’t into sports and they didn’t even have an inkling as to what was going on, trying to enjoy their drinks while taking what chatter he could get from soul. they’d never predicted that they would be pulled into a sudden kiss, shooting the other an unimpressed look. “oops,” they repeated. they didn’t care when it came to kissing people, but they liked to be the one in control when it came to anything outside the bedroom. “you know, you don’t have to use… whatever this is… as an excuse to kiss me. i know i’m rather irresistible,” they teased.

viola was used to being pampered and treated like a queen and her date with steven, appeared to be no exception. viola had been enjoying her night so far, having always had a fondness for historical fashion and steven seemed to be a gentleman, especially compared to some of the other guys she had gone on dates with before. a smirk pulled at her lips once she heard his question, finding that he had read her too well. “ i think your assessment was right on the money actually, “ she replied sending him a smirk. “ but, don’t worry i’d only ruin the lives of those who deserved it, “ she added jokingly.
a chuckle escaped steven as he stuffed his hands into his pockets, eyes glancing over the various displays. perhaps it wasn’t the most exciting date, but it was the perfect speed for those his age. “see, it would start with those who deserve it. but, i think the power would get to you and you would push for more – not that i’m judging your character. but, it seems that influence always has that effect on people. it takes the truly exceptional to resist the pull to go on a power trip.”

hearing his name caught the hockey star off guard, a look of surprise flickering across his features as he turned to see none other than mat barzal of the new york islanders standing before him. the look of confusion morphed into a look of annoyance as he listened to the other speak, trying his best to resist the urge to roll his eyes. “if there is anyone who acts like they’re better than anyone, it’s you. you’re a spoiled little clumsy brat on the ice and yet you feel the need to chirp me? are you just trying to get a rise out of me? ‘cause i’m honestly too old for that shit, bud.” he allowed himself to shrug off the other’s arm as he turned away from him. “do you happen to know where the hell we are?” it wasn’t exactly normal not to remember where you were or how you had gotten there in the first place, but maybe barzy had more of a clue about this all than he did.
mat scrunched up his nose in annoyance as the other shrugged him off. he wasn’t sure what he was expecting — he should have known better that sid was much harder to piss off off the ice. despite being annoyed himself by the brat comment, mat decided to keep his mouth shut on that matter. “i just wanted to test if the kid title still applied out of the rink. you proved me wrong, congrats,” he bitterly said before glancing around. he hadn’t even thought about his surroundings until now — far too preoccupied by the other’s presence to do so. “uh... a party,” he stated, pointing out the obvious. “beyond that? i honestly don’t know. i’m surprised you don’t. did we get totally wasted after a game or something?” he asked, it was the only explanation he had. “i’m not that much of a drinker, so i’m confused to say the least.”

𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 feat. @regvined.
since moving to sparkwood, aeshin had become gradually more comfortable with events like these. she hadn’t necessarily really celebrated halloween as a child so she was overjoyed when it came to dressing up and going all out this year. she was in a bit of a daze as allowed herself to take in everything that the dance had to offer, making her way around the room at a gradual pace. that’s when she noticed a face that she recognized in the crowd and decided to take her chances and approach the other. he was usually the one approaching her so why not mix things up and take charge? “i just want to let you know that i haven’t forgotten that you still technically owe me a dance. we were never able to find one another at the masquerade… so why waste this opportunity to make up for it now.” fusheng had a habit of making this confident side she had shine through.
fusheng was used to halloween being a pompous event thrown by the rich to show off just how much they could drop on a costume — or, how much they could pull in terms of sex. fusheng couldn’t complain too much, though, considering he liked the idea of dressing up in something other than a suit. he was genuinely and pleasantly surprised when aeshin approach him considering he was so used to seeking her out instead. “oh? so, you fully admit that you want to have a dance with me?” he coyly questioned before allowing his hands to reach out and take hers in order to lead her into a dance. “you won’t have to ask me twice. while i love to watch people beg, i don’t think it would look very good on you,” he commented, voice softer. “you look nice, by the way. an elf would suit you, wouldn’t it? mysterious, in nature — shooting at people,” he teased.

peggy wasn’t a big drinker, but that didn’t mean she didn’t like to enjoy a glass or two after a long day. she’d chosen the stray sheep because it was quieter and she felt as if it would allow her to decompress and hear herself think. unfortunately, she was still being seen as prey for some lonely bastard. still, she didn’t shoo him away just yet, wondering how far he would go until he realized she wasn’t biting — it was taking too long. she was slightly surprised when the other man appeared, but his words caused her to laugh slightly. “and here i was starting to think you were having an affair. i was just listening to this young man tell me how much he love to disrespect women and treat them like the socks he leaves under his bed,” she said before sipping at her wine, hand reaching out to tenderly fix the new arrival’s hair. “bugger off, now. i’m clearly taken and there’s no chance i’d leave him for you,” she said with a small wave. the unwanted man huffed and left, peggy clearly amused. “i know you knew i didn’t need saving, but i do appreciate it. men can be so annoying.”

jennifer recognized the other before she even approached the table that he was currently seated at, he was the new soccer coach that everyone on her squad was drooling over. she didn’t see the appeal but that was probably a bit obvious. she was surprised the moment the other snapped at her, a scoff escaping her as she readjusted her purse. “ i doubt you need a stable grasp on the imperial system of measurement to understand the definition of far. ” she glared at the other, feeling her jaw tighten. “ i was just going to give you my condolences … i’ve heard that you have to coach with someone who was supposed to be a football coach. how’s that going for you ? i heard barnes and noble sells soccer for dummies books. just a pro tip. ”
roy served the other a glare, impressed that she was able to snap back so quickly and effectively — it was admirable. however, the mere mention of ted had his eyes rolling. “god, i can’t believe you’ve made my headache even worse with that alone,” he said with a sigh, rubbing his temples. “actually, i’m pretty sure i saw it on his desk, so he’s already beat you to it,” he continued with a shake of his head. how was he expected to work with someone who didn’t even know the basics? essentially, he figured he would be coaching on his own while the other watched or took care of paperwork. “you don’t fancy replacing him, do you? i’m sure you understand it far better than he does.”

Misty looked at him as he apologized and it made them smile widely “Thank you, I really appreciate you apologizing, it’s nice to be reassured that your anger wasn’t truly directed at me. I am sorry you’re frustrated right now though I do hope the tea helps it always helps calm me down so I hope maybe it can do the same for you, you always seem to be a bundle of nerves so I thought it would help you.” They sat down sitting the thermos and lunch they packed for him in front of him humming a bit as they did so “Well I wanted to and I honestly don’t mind, I like doing stuff like this for my friends from time to time, and I just wanted the chance to brighten your day a bit you know? But maybe next time I should warn you I’m coming so you don’t think I’m just another person who is going to stress you out."
roy scrunched his nose as he picked up the thermos. he always did enjoy a cup of tea in the morning. though it wasn’t morning, perhaps he could pretend it was and that the day wasn’t shit already. “i’m not sure what you mean — i’m always a fucking ray of sunshine,” he deadpanned. “i’m not too sure why you’d call me a friend. you’re... well, you’re you. and i’m an angry, scruffy man with little to no regard for others only because they’ve given me no reason to respect them. i would think you’d rather hang out with ted lasso than me — you two would be the perfect match for each other.”

Morgan hadn’t stepped in a church once in her life, her parents were never the religious type and she herself wasn’t either, and she honestly wasn’t even here searching for help or guidance, and maybe the reason she was here was silly, but she had to interview someone with different beliefs than her for philosophy paper and here she was. She came in with a basket of muffins like it would somehow sway the other to give her some time and she held them out “Well I’m hoping you can be of service, I have a weird request I’m not really here for Divine guidance or help so to speak I hope that’s okay.” She smiled genuinely at the other and she could understand why others’ sought the other out for help he had a really kind aura. “I don’t know if it’s something you’d be interested in and have time for, but I was hoping you’d indulge me in answering some questions? It’s for a paper and I’m supposed to interview someone religious and good you know? And well you’re the first person I thought of even if I don’t go to church and I don’t know you well I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask you if you’d be interested."
the father’s smile was gentle as he was presented with muffins. “there’s no need to bribe me with food to gain service from me — but, i won’t say no to them, either,” he said with a gentle laugh before taking one of the muffins. “i appreciate being considered for this. it must be a very interesting paper,” he continued as he motioned for the other to come sit with him in the top pews — they had the most leg room after all. “as you can see, i’m not exactly in demand at the moment, so you can have all the time you need and ask any question. i don’t shy away from the hard ones, either,” he assured. he knew many had their reservations when asking very opinionated questions, but paul had always made it a point to be open to discussion and being completely honest.

james’ smile became more and more genuine as he stared at his aunt, just happy to be in her presence again. “all of that wishing that i could have you around more often finally paid off, maybe wishes aren’t just for babies and delusional people.” he teased, scrunching his nose up slightly. although he felt a bit nervous when the other insisted on potentially setting him up with someone and how those that hadn’t taken notice of him tonight were missing out. “i think you’re a little biased here.” he chuckled and shook his head slightly. “honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if someone already had their eye on you, new to town or not. but i know you better than to assume that you’d rush into a relationship so quickly.” he proceeded to let out a soft groan in response to her insistence on finding him a dance partner. “you’re lucky that i trust your judgment, otherwise i would never agree to something like this.” he finally relented, knowing that she wouldn’t take no for an answer. stubbornness must have been a carter family trait. “alright, who are you dooming me to dance with? or rather whose feet am i dooming?”
“how dare you even think wishes can’t come true,” she lightly teased, gently nudging the other. while peggy knew how hard it was to believe in magic, she still had a heart that wanted to believe — always bringing that heart out for sharon and james any time she was with them. “i am not biased! it is my job to be of sound mind and judgement. and, using that, i know you are the pick of the litter. but, you are exactly right. imagine reaching out into this crowd and saying: ‘hello, you’re mine now.’! how ghastly. that could be a murderer,” she joked, laughing easily. she reached out to hold james’ hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as she looked over the crowd. “dooming — no one is being doomed, darling. if they can’t handle a bit of weight on their foot, then they can’t handle all of your weight on them. sorry, did i say that? what about that dark, mysterious fellow over there?” she asked, quickly changing the subject and pointing out a dark-haired man who looked bored in the corner of the room. “you could spark something inside of him.”

there was a deadpan expression on chris’ face the moment listened to boris speak, he lifted his coffee up to his lips and took a sip as the other inquired on whether or not he had seen anything strange about town at night lately. “ are you saying that you’ve seen something like that around town ? ” he shot the other a skeptical look before setting his coffee back down. “ i’m cop, boris … not an animal control specialist. but the strangest thing i’ve seen lately is a deranged woman taking a hyena on a walk. so maybe her pet got loose and that’s what you’ve seen ? ”
boris took in a large breath and let it out in a tired sigh, notepad closing. he knew it was always a bad idea to ask policemen about such occurrences. he remembered how they reacted when he stopped working with them in the past with his change in focus. “i might have, but you’re probably right about seeing the hyena. i’m surprised you let that pass — pretty sure that one isn’t allowed,” he said. “but, again, i get the whole not wanting to play with fire. i wouldn’t want to confront a lady and her hyena either if i’m not allowed to take out either of them,” he joked lightly. “you probably think i’ve gone crazy, don’t you, chris?”

nari was beyond frustrated and embarrassed. she had arrived to the gym thinking that she would be taking a kickboxing class today only to realize that a beginner’s dance class was taking place in the time slot that the kickboxing class was supposed to. by the time she had entered the room, she had realized it was too late to turn around and leave without causing everyone to stare at her. as much as she adored having all eyes on her, the negative attention wasn’t something that she was equipped to deal with. she had decided to try and give the class her all but it was extremely difficult for her not to get frustrated within the process. she let out a heavy sigh as she heard the man beside her pipe up about the class. “ it definitely doesn’t feel like a beginner’s class but then again i know jack shit about dancing. i’m just barely understanding it all and that’s rare for me. ” she was an extremely skilled athlete and yet it was dancing that tripped her up ? “ i thought this was supposed to be a kickboxing class. ” she muttered, shaking her head. she turned her attention back to the other once more. “ i think at least the girls in this class are enjoying watching you … struggling or not. ”
there was some relief in knowing that he wasn’t alone in his struggles, ares letting out a sigh. however, the mention of the other here because of kickboxing had him interested. “yeah, i was here for that class too. it would have been nice if they posted it up on the door or something. or, maybe they did and i’m incredibly blind,” he said with a shake of his head. “at least i know i would have had you in that class. honestly, i should just considering holding my own boxing classes. at least that way, i would actually know if they were canceled or not,” he joked. he scrunched his nose up at the mention of the girls watching him. he was a bit used to stares, but he would rather not have them on him during a time he wasn’t confident. “i really wish they weren’t,” he admitted, glancing over at the rest of the class before an idea came to him. “hey, do you want to get out of here? this is fucking shit. and, i’ll feel less weird if i left with someone else rather than on my own. “i don’t need a kickboxing class to show you some moves i already know.”

olaf let out a small huffy side the moment his brother countered his remark about looking for him while attending the block party, “i always get to hang out with dustin, anna, and benji… but i never get to see you. with classes starting up soon, i’m going to be able to see you less and less so what’s in the harm in using an event like this as an excuse to see you?” his tone was slightly whiny, but that was completely unintentional. he chuckled and shook his head at the other’s guidelines that pertained to what he considered as bothering him, “i won’t be loud but if we had power i might’ve woke you up with pancakes. i love pancakes.” he remained glued to marshall’s side as his brother continued to lead the way toward his apartment building. “i’m not lying! you are the most important thing to me, marshall. i would give up hot cocoa forever if it meant that we were close again… like we used to be.” his voice was slightly raised, convinced the volume added to his conviction on the matter. once they started the ascent to the other’s apartment, he let out a sigh and ran his fingers through his hair. he followed marshall into the dark apartment, grateful when the other began to open the windows. “i’ll probably just sleep in the living room tonight just to be safe, i’ll get the most amount of breeze here. i still can’t believe you set up a room for me, i thought you wanted a life without me in it.”
marshall pursed his lips, not sure how he felt about olaf wanting to see him so much. it brought him some happiness, but he felt as if it shouldn’t. he should continue to push olaf away to ensure he didn’t get wrapped up in any mess that would eventually happen. “i know you love pancakes — i don’t forget that easily,” he said softly, jaw clenching. while he was rather out of touch when it came to olaf’s current life, he still remembered all the things he liked when they were younger. that version of olaf still lived in his mind though the present one wasn’t much different. he felt a twinge of guilt, forced to look away. he wanted to be close yet he fully believed it was for the best to keep a distance. “we can be close. i just don’t know how we can do that when you have… better things,” he admitted softly before pulling out some blankets and laying them out on the couch. “here, you can be here, then. i’ll be on the floor and i’ll be physically closer to you,” he said, attempting to lighten the mood.
