im currently reading the manga since we have volumes 1-11 and i need to finish the last chapter of the reigen manga rip but im slowly getting through it and then this blog can function normally

He just seems like the sorta dude to get stuck in a beanbag chair, ya know?

reigen is 5'10 and is 29 by the manga's canon, so that's what i'm following - in the anime he's much smaller and is 30. i'll be writing him primarily post-series anyways, so he'll be 30 at some point regardless, and older.

reigen might as well be a psychic as he predicted the end // * good foreshadowing, reigen

a bit shocked, he exclaims ❝ s-shy?! ❞ and reigen clears his throat, attempting to then lower his voice. his face is stoic, serious even.

❝ keep your guard up, mob. that definitely isn't a kappa, and ... i don't think it's a person. you might be right, mob, but people are just as deceptive as spirits. be on your guard. ❞

it's hard for reigen to tell. in the end, he shouldn't be able to see these kinds of things, so either he is sensitive, or they reveal themselves to him willingly (for some reason). right now, he can just make out probably half of what mob can, at least acknowledging the shape. mob has a better sense of clarity, after all.

he takes a step forward, at least brave in the confident fact that mob could take care of anything.

❝ but, you have superpowers, mob. we should be fine. what do you think? [ ... ] is this a trick? an act to lure us in? ❞

still, he takes another step forward. if anything is going to happen, mob will handle it. he is starting to trust mob more and more. it wasn't that reigen ever doubted mob's abilities, even going so far as to use them solely to his advantage, having a sort of safety net to cast around the "mob meter." in the end, it was reigen that reigned it in, saved the city, saved mob (saved himself) ... and was there for mob's (first) rejection. looking back, the least he can do now is encourage that sense of independent thought, of conversation participation.

i've seen what he can do. even if this is a ghost, there's no way it can defeat mob.

but, if it is a person, then reigen will have to finesse, and that in and of itself is rather easy for him. still, he doesn't necessarily enjoy confrontation. what happened to just looking for kappa?? they're out there. i know it. we just have to handle this, and then we can get back to it.

❝ wouldn't it be better if it was a person? then they might just be lost. ❞ however, for the sake of the investigation, it would probably be best to be something of supernatural origin; or so he would assume. turning to follow his master's stare, shigeo looks on into the woods, the wavering silhouette of something human-esque hiding in the background.

pointing a finger towards the peeking figure, mob turns to look blankly at the older, cautious blond.

❝ is that who you're talking about? they seem shy. ❞

at the end of the day it was always better to act cautiously around unknown spirits (or so he had been taught).
