oh my god. thank you for your tags on the video from mats' final match. i was so mad. and like, be it for me to speak bad about ranieri after he rescued roma this season. but mats' lack of playing time was crazy to me. especially when ranieri praised him at one point??? i know mats couldn't have foreseen what this roma season would bring (they were literally qualified for the EL, it should have been an okay season, at least) but man, how unfortunate that his final season had to be ruined by a terrible club situation. and again, i get it, ranieri needed to prioritize winning this match today if they had a shot at CL qualification, but that doesn't mean that i'm not allowed to be annoyed and upset that mats played a total of like 90 seconds lol. AND HE DIDN'T GET EVEN HIS OWN SUBSTITUTION MOMENT. HE GOT SUBBED IN WITH 3 OTHER PLAYERS. he looked so sad too :(((( it just sucks all around that he couldn't enjoy his final season the way so many other players have :// i hope he at least had fun in italy, if nothing else.

THANK YOU. this is exactly how i feel. granted i obviously don't know much about roma's whole situation this season, but at the beginning juric just had it out for him for. no reason? then ranieri came and he started (some) more matches until his red card against atletic which fair enough but MY GOD you were winning 2-0 for half the match and you couldn't sub him on before the 90th minute??

it's just so unfair. AND LIKE YOU SAID with 3 other players seriously?? it just all feels wrong. it's not what i envisioned at all, and it's probably not what he expected either. i feel so bad for him. everyone around him gets such beautiful farewells (and they're not even retiring mind you) and the most he gets is a lift from the players (which was cute but) miles and miles away from where he had the best days of his career.

the title of this article destroyed me completely bc it's exactly how i feel. 'mats hummels is gone and hardly anyone notices'

i feel like screaming because why is it so silent everywhere? on socials, from the media, the farewell itself? barely anybody's said anything. i feel like i'm going crazy.
