“Cocktail waitresses in short skirts are always in want of a good fuck.” He’d bellowed that at Diana’s mother from across the crowded lounge twenty-three years ago. Charlotte Leto was a waitress at a  high scale lounge, her father a  businessman of considerable esteem in search of a lay and he had set his heart on the beautiful Charlotte. When she spent the evening rebuffing his advances, he decided he’d get it anyway he could.

Following her home after closing, he cornered Charlotte in an alley and raped her. The attack resulted in twins, a boy and a girl. The elder, the girl, she named Diana. 

Diana helped raise her younger twin, while her mother continued waitressing to support them. Though she was rarely home, they enjoyed her attention and love when she was. She met her father a handful of times. Usually at the park, usually to give her mother a child support check. 

She developed a strong desire to help young girls. Young girls in her mother’s position. Upon graduating high school, she procured a job at a Crisis Hotline that catered to the needs of young women. Over the years she’s heard tales that churned her stomach. These coupled with the unwanted attention she receives from males has led to strong distaste for the sex. Aside from her brother, she rarely fraternizes with males. 

The Goddess 

Goddess of hunting and a protector of young females. Artemis delivered her twin brother after just leaving the womb herself. They had a godly upbringing and her and her brother would defend their mother’s honour.

-The Goddess would have extremely sharp senses, ruthlessness, and some healing abilities (so long as with her brother)

Background: Leo was a product of a broken marriage. Her father was forever unfaithful and his desperate wife Helen, thought that a child might make him change his ways. But she was wrong. The child only put more stress on the marriage and Leo’s father left them both, a divorce that left her with a rather large settlement and apartment in L.A.

Leo’s mother resented her for her husband leaving, and she grew abusive and neglectful. She never noticed how intelligent the girl was so Leo’s gifts went undernourished. Like any troubled genius, she turned to a destructive outlet. Leo became a pyromaniac and found comfort in setting fire’s and watching them burn and destroy. She became quite the arsonist, and with her intellect she was very clever at covering her tracks.

The God: Hephaestus was born from the Mother of all God’s after she grew angry with Zeus’s sole birth of Athena. She wanted to create a child by herself but when he turned out to be deformed she cast him aside. He is the creator of fire, and skilled with technology and metalwork.

-The god(in this case goddess) has a superior intellect, and is skilled in the art of metalwork, bending it to his will.

Females tend to retain memory 60% better than Males after a transition. It's not known why this is but possibly because of the sympathetic nature of women. A feature shared even by the female Goddess.

A deity's blood tastes most foul to any creature of the blood sucking persuasion (Dark childes', Vampires etc) Though the blood is absolutely delicious, with a smell of raw sewage, not many beings tend to risk it. Or can stand to.

The Transition.

                  The Gods have been watching. Not from Mt Olympus but from somewhere much different. They see all and find themselves favouring certain mortals. Much like Athena's favouritism of Hercules or Aphrodite's protection of Aeneas. These Gods' and Goddess' Find themselves meddling in the affairs of humans. Though on a different scale altogether. Certain human's have become blessed by the gods and find themselves human. Some may remember their past life, others may forget it completely. They a given knowledge of a binding Oath in which they must follow, and are gifted with certain abilities.                   There are two way for a human to become a Reincarnated Divinty and both require the favour of an Elder. The Elder's of course being the original Deities themselves. The processes occur as follows:

                                                                 -A Second Chance

When a Mortal favourited by the god is on death's door. The Elder will take the life into their grasp, and breathe their power into the human. The process may sound simple enough but it is painful while the body adjusts and soaks up the abilities and immortality now given to them. This form of transformation tends to lead to complete memory loss where the being is only aware that they were once mortal, but they have no memory of this time. They are essentially the same person, same occupation, same life, but they do not remember much other than The Oath, and their names.

                                                                  -Being Unlocked

This process may only be done with the aid of an Angel Of Death. The Mortals who undergo this process are often chosen from birth by the gods, perhaps with some lineage back to the Deity. This process is much more painful and happens at a certain stage in the lives of those chosen, when their bodies are a peak physical condition and can handle the transformation. These being's tend to keep some human memories and traits. It is often harder for them to keep the secret and control their abilities. They find as humans that they have influence over their respective Elder's domain though often never connect the dots. This process maybe less painful due to their abilities being present throughout their lives, though the standard pain of immortality being bestowed is to be expected.
