CRAZY WHEELS

I chose the game ‘Crazy Wheels’ for my last game development journal entry. I was scrolling and watching videos on facebook when I saw this game. So, I tried to download it on playstore. Crazy Wheels is a 2D game where you play as a biker who need to ride on tracks full of deadly traps. 

The gameplay of Crazy Wheels is similar to Happy Wheels.  There are three buttons you can use to get safe and sound from the start to the end of each level: one to move forward, another to move backward, and the last one is to jump. With these simple controls you have to avoid spikes, chainsaws, propellers, and other traps that fill each level in the game.

There are more than 20 different levels. And none of them is easy, even the first ones are hard to beat. Fortunately, you can use gems to avoid starting the level from the very beginning if you make a mistake.

Disregard of simplicity, I like this game because I remember my favorite cartoon ‘Happy Tree Friends’. They are similar in a way that the characters are brutally killed hahaha. Happy Wheels and Crazy Wheels are unique games compared to other riding games that I played. 

Try this game if you like violent games. I recommend this one. Even my brother kept playing this game until now. HAHA

HILL CLIMB RACING 2

Hill Climb Racing is a 2D racing video game developed by Fingersoft and was released on 2012. It became popular on playstore because of its graphics and easy to play. Now, it has an updated version which is the ‘Hill Climb Racing 2′ that I downloaded. The objective of the game is to collect coins while driving through racing stages. Your first car is difficult to handle because of its parts that you can upgrade by the use of coins. Fingersoft added new features on the updated version. 

On Hill Climb Racing 2, it has a multiplayer game where you can compete with the other players. Your rank has a corresponding coins. Also you can play with single player where you can see your previous drive. 

The coins that you collected can be used to buy cars that has good parts. Of course, you need to play and play to collect more coins in order to meet the price of the car you want.

Also, you can change your character and vehicle looks on the game by using your coins. These are the features that can see on the Hill Climb Racing 2. The same features that you can see with the two is the destinations.

This game has good graphics and fun to play. Start to play this one!

GRANNY

Granny is a horror game developed in Unity by DVloper. I tried to download a horror game for a change, to have some thrill while playing. The objective of this game is to get out of the house while hiding from Granny who will be the challenge to end this game. You only have 5 days to get out of the house, exceeding means game over.

On this game, you need to select the difficulty you want to play from easy to hard. There are options like ‘darker’ to darken the area that you will play to make the game creepier. You need to be quiet and don’t create sounds that will call the attention of Granny. You can hide on beds and cabinets.

Explore the house to get some things like keys and code that will help you to unlock the doors and hammer that can be a weapon against Granny. This game is exciting and fun because I played it with Marj and I saw her reaction while playing this game. She even scream when she was caught by Granny. We played it several times but we can’t get out of the house.

The game sounds will help you to hear footsteps of Granny if she is coming and it makes more thriller so I recommend to use headphones while playing this one. Thumbs up to this game!

BOMBER FRIENDS

Bomber Friends is an action-maze game developed by Hyperkani on 2014. I downloaded this game because I remember the game ‘Bomberman’ which was my favorite nintendo game years ago. This game is a remake of the classic Bomberman game built for additional features and multiplayer. I tried to search for Bomberman on playstore and I ended up with this game ‘Bomber Friends’. 

There are also other games derived from Bomberman but this game has more features and downloads in playstore. It has also good reviews so I downloaded it. Bomber Friends has game maps and characters. You can customized your bomber man or woman, even you can play as a president of other countries like President Donald Trump. You can play a single game or multiplayer. Multiplayer game is online. 

There are lots of powerups that you can use. You can also buy some premium bombs to look classy. There are over 300 levels and every map has different backgrounds and enemies. The higher the level, the difficult to escape the maze. Your goal is to trap your enemies and destroy them with bombs. This makes the game challenging while finding the key to unlock door to move on the next level. 

These features and its graphics made this game addictive. So I recommend this game for those who experienced playing the game ‘Bomberman’.

WORDSCAPES

My 11th journal entry is about the game Wordscapes. I play this game because it challenge my word vocabulary. It was popular and has a million of downloads in playstore. Well, its kinda addictive and fun while playing this game. 

Wordscapes is a crossword puzzle game developed by PlayFun. This game derived from the old game crossword. The objective of this game is to form words from the given jumbled letters. The only difference between the two games is, crossword have phrases and clues given. Wordscapes doesn’t have.

One factor that is good to this game compare to others is the beautiful destination of it while playing the game. You need to complete the blocks of words and you will move to the next level. There are extra words that has corresponsing coins. This coins can be used on hints.

There are lot of word puzzle games but this one is more fun because it has difficult words that will challenge you along the game. The game is simple but addictive while playing it. Good game!

REDBROS

Redbros is a game develop by Play Hard Company. Naghahanap ako ng bagong malalarong game sa playstore nang nakita yung game na 'to. Kaya ko sya dinownload kasi nakita kong million yung downloads nya sa playstore. Ayun yung isang factor na tinitingnan ko bago idownload yung laro.

Pangalawa, mahilig ako sa mga larong chibi yung mga character. So I downloaded this game. Well, di ako nagkamali ng pagdownload. This game has good graphics and madali  lang syang laruin. All you need to do is to tap the location where you want to locate your heroes and only one tap to defeat enemies. They may be split Into two groups by using two fingers or put into formations by dragging a single finger, which can lead to more interesting challenges.

The objective of this game is to defeat all the enemies while exploring all the rooms. There are some spells that will help you to get energize and easily defeat enemies. Natuwa naman ako sa part na may mga prisonned heroes na makakasama mo along the game.

I like this game kasi madali lang sya laruin, cute yung mga characters and marami 'ding exciting challenges. So I recommend this game for those who like chibis and strategic game. Thumbs up !

FLAGS AND CAPITALS  OF THE WORLD QUIZ

Flags and Capitals of the World was published by Gedev Company.

Nagstart akong maglaro ng flag games nung high school. Sa totoo lang, mahilig ako sa flags. I like memorizing name of flag and their capitals. Pero syempre, di ako katulad ng ibang genius kids na unang tingin pa lang sa flag alam na yung name and capital. So I downloaded this game. 

This game teaches the flags and capitals of the world in a fun and challenging way by limiting the lives and time of the player. Also, players can play multiplayer games with other players from all over the world. You can play this game continuously and learn all the flags, capitals, currency and population of countries. 

Katulad ng ibang laro, nagsisimula rin sya sa basic like common name of countries and then pipiliin yung right flag para dun. Players will start to play as a ‘Student’. Under this level, there are common flags to guess in order to proceed to the next level. The last level that can play for flags is the ‘Alien’, where all the flags are needed to guess. Other games includes the capitals, currency and landmarks of each country. 

Hanggang ngayon di parin nakakasawang laruin yung mga games about flags kasi siguro para sakin pag nilalaro ko ‘to, nawawala yung stress ko. So hanggang ngayon naka-install para rin sya sa phone ko. I’ll recommend this game for those who love flag quiz games. :)

SOUL KNIGHT

Soul knight mobile game was made by ChillyRoom Inc. and was released on February 17, 2017. It has a single and multiplayer game.I used to play the single player. In this game, you always have a pet which starts as a kitty to help you fight enemies.

Starting the game, move through symmetrical dungeon rooms and hallways fighting enemies that rises whenever you cross the every room with your starting pet which is a cat. You can’t shoot into the rooms from outside or vice versa, so you will need to cross within the room to shoot the enemies. Every enemy that you fight has a corresponding points to your energy. After fighting all the enemies in every room, there is a chest that contains either a new weapon that you can swap with the current weapon that you're using or points that will add to your energy.

Other rooms has a trader where you can buy an added life and energy or weapon. You can also buy a new character in the game. For the multiplayer game, players need connect to the hotspot of a one player in order for them to join. These players are not enemies, they play as a team to fight enemies.

The gameplay was great, also the controls and even the changing of the weapon and character. I like the feeling of beating all the enemies especially the boss which is difficult to beat. Also I like the multiplayer game because if one player die, other players can revive it by the use of the gem. But that's limited. So you need some strategy to level up on the game.

HUNGRY HEARTS DINER : A Tale of Star-Crossed Souls 

Hungry Hearts Diner is a Japanese fun management and simulation game by Gagex. This a game about a small shop at the edge of a big city. When you play the game, you’ll take the role of the hard-working old lady struggling to manage her family’s little restaurant. 

In this game, your curiosity plays because each character in the game has their life story. There are some twists on the latter part. Each character have their favorite dishes on the restaurant. Characters visits restaurant at least twice a week and craving for their favorite food. 

This game is not  just a typical game because it has good side story. It tells us the true heart of being a mother and the hard-work of them to help their loved ones.

EMOJI QUIZ

Emoji Quiz is a puzzle game that I downloaded last week. Obviously, it is a game that represents emojies for players to guess a word or phrase. There are 3 rankings of this game and each rank has 10 parts. First rank of the game is ‘Beginner’. This part has 25 levels to be played. On the beginner rank, only words are needed to guess to play for the next rank.

Second part is the ‘Intermediate’, where words are difficult compare to beginner. And last rank is the ‘Expert’, where you need to guess phrases. Each word you guessed earns a 1 hint. These hints will help you guess a word.

I’d like to play this game because it tests my skills on guessing words by the use of emojies. It is a fun game that suits for all ages.

SPACE SHOOTER 2

Our proposed game in Game Development is entitled “Arcadia”. This is a shoot ‘em up game. Just like the known game Everwing, one player is needed to start the game. You need to drag and move to shoot the enemies, as easy as that. There are some power ups that you can use to upgrade your ship.

So, I downloaded this game “Space Shooter” not just to play for this tumblr post but to gain ideas for our game. I chose this game because it is one of the top shoot ‘em up game in play store. This game has a good graphics. It has levels and every five levels there is a boss (enemy).

Playing this game is much easy compare to other games which needed skill/s to pass the game. So, lots of users are playing this game.

FARMVILLE 2 : COUNTRY ESCAPE

Title pa lang alam na, ito yung game na kilala ng karamihan. I started playing this game on my elementary days. Pero hanggang ngayon nilalaro parin sya ng marami. Una syang sumikat sa Facebook pero after 2 years, naging pangatlo na lang sya sa pinakapopular na larpo sa Facebook. Nagkaroon ito ng version na pwedeng laruin sa phones and tablets. At dahil dito, dumami ang kanilang users.

Farmville is a farming simulation social network game developed by Zynga on 2009. Katulad sa karaniwang farm, sa larong ito kailangan mong alagaan yung farm mo. Kasama na ditto ang pagtatanim, pagdidilig at pag-aalaga ng mga hayop.

Mayroon syang maraming levels at kada level ay may mga mission na kailangan matapos para makapunta sa susunod na level. Dito nasusubok ang pasensya sa paghintay ng mga process na kasama sa game.

“Step Mania”

This game is not so familiar with my game vocabulary. Then Marjoelynne introduced me this simple type of game but kinda addictive when you get into it. At first, she told me the controls of the game, only the arrow keys. On the first part of the game, I perfectly controls some moves. I thought it was just so easy because of it's graphics' simplicity, but as the music become fast the game becomes harder. That's my part being a player. On the part when I was watching Marj on playing the game, I felt eagerness to play it. When you see the game, it's just simple. But when you get into it, you can control the keys perfectly to get a high score and defeat your enemy.

There are three card games that every group played during the class. This games are the common and popular. Our group played 'Pusoy Dos', 'Lucky 9', and 'Tongits'. At first I do not know hot to play Pusoy Dos, but Marj and Jude introduced and teach me the game. It's quite boring when you didn't know the techniques and just new on playing it. But when I already learn it, it tests your ability to think strategies to win the game. Pusoy Dos is just like Tongits, Lucky 9 is much easier than the two because its just a matter of luck on picking the card. Haha that's true. After playing three games, each group will construct their own game. Our group constructed the game 'Palaisdaan' where you need to have pairs of the same cards in order to clear your deck of cards and have the most number of fish (which is the cards) to win the game. We named it 'Palaisdaan' because half of the deck of cards are arranged separately. Palaisdaan is just a simple game like 'Unggoy-unggoyan'. It was fun playing cards when you know the techniques.
