I feel like I’m the only one who thinks that Yunos story was good and low-key that’s crazy. I see people talk about “oh they want us to hate Yuno”

NO YUNO IS HAVING SURVIVORS GUILT AND THINKS SHE DESERVED TO BE HATED

She’s clearly dealing with some internal problems. When someone writes internalized homophobia its peak but internalized misogyny is where we draw the line? And when I say survivors guilt I don’t just mean with the fetus I also mean with Mahiru as well. The fact that Yuno was so close to having a kid, THE THING THE PERSON SHE WAS CLOSEST TO WANTED, but lost it recontextualized how she saw what happened. I think Yuno did at one point just not care about losing the baby till she got closer with Mahiru. I see it as Yuno wishing she could give the baby she was going to have to Mahiru, someone who would’ve loved and cared for the baby.

Also people are saying “oh if she fell accidentally why is she here?” Milgram CLEARLY has a different definition of what murder is them the average person. I mean Kazui and Mahiru are here and they don’t fit the average definition of murder either! Kazui confessed his true feelings about his relationship and his wife fucking killed herself and Mahiru was suffocating her boyfriend with the way she loved which made HIM kill himself.

People have been loving to throw around the worst “misogynistic” when it comes to Yunos writing but it feels like you guys are being the misogynistic ones

Yuno t3 opinion — Yuno's characterization is fine. Good, even. Of course she's going to have extremely complicated feelings surrounding what happened, especially, as mentioned in the VD, after talking to Mahiru—a person who would've loved to have a child.

From what we can tell, even Yuno doesn't really know how she feels. It seems she doesn't have a particular opinion on abortion, her struggle stems from it being her that it happened to. Adding that to how she didn't necessarily intend to abort in the first place (the MV and the VD both show/mention how she fell unconscious) Yes, she was most likely considering it, but it didn't seem to be something she was planning.

There are two scenes in the MV that could be reasonably interpreted as suicide attempts—the train and the stairs, though she did fall unconscious in the second—which lends more to the line of thinking that Yuno was more likely to be planning to kill herself rather than an abortion.

Speaking of the stairs scene; as she's climbing, the Yuno in the flashback is clearly distressed, her eyes sunken and expression flat. I'm not sure about other people's thoughts, but it reminds me more of the mindstate you're in when you're about to attempt after planning—slightly apathetic, exhausted, almost accepting of your death. The Yuno watching the flashback, however, is absolutely horrified. She knows that she will survive, but what's inside of her won't. She knows what happens next, and more importantly, she knows how she feels right now.

Yuno is not unaffected by what happened, especially with her placement in Milgram. Her already very complex feelings have become even more tangled, intertwined with her feelings about Mahiru, and the recent deaths in Milgram. Her case isn't about pro-choice vs pro-life, but instead the circumstances that led up to the accidental pregnancy.

Obviously, this is all just my opinion, feel free to agree or disagree!!

It's so frustrating that I'm only seeing more and more lobotomy jokes. Especially "live, laugh, lobotomy" merch.

You are making fun of the torture of disabled people. People with intellectual disability and severe mental illness brutally had parts of their brain severed or killed. Many people died from this. We can never know the true impact because the people who endured this were not the same after.

We shouldn't be bringing this up in any lighthearted way. This was a tragedy, and we should be showing basic human respect to the victims. I don't think anyone can "reclaim" it and no one should want to. Please treat it with the severity and respect you would to any other mass tragedy from history.
