I kinda understand this mentality, but I feel like it’s a two-way street tbh.

If you want it in the job description, then you have to put your target compensation in your application. Both sides should have to be transparent or neither side should have to be transparent. 

IMHO, I would much rather have neither side be transparent because it’s pretty easy to get employers to disclose first already and most times it’s easier to negotiate once you finish interviewing. The only drawback being that it can mean wasting time interviewing.
