Okay, I know this may be a niche take but as a system myself, I have very strong feelings about the headcanon I’ve created in my brain about Ed/Blackbeard/the kraken being a system (DID, OSDD, take your pick). I noticed a lot of moments where each “part” of who Ed was being more like separate people. So basically, in my head, Ed is the host and started to split because of the trauma with his father (I’m assuming it had to be heavy trauma to lead Ed to kill him). Kraken split after he killed his dad as a way to cope (kraken killed his father not him, and all of his less than savory qualities could be tossed onto Kraken). When he ran off after killing his dad, he had no choice but to turn to piracy and his brain had to create an alter who was someone pirates would listen to. Older, brutal, violent. Thus Blackbeard was born. Izzy and Blackbeard were involved (I view it as just sexual but it would also be argued it was romantic- either way it was intense and Izzy was more serious about it than Blackbeard) Ed was the one that fell for Stede. Bonus points if Kraken is a little, being the age Ed was when he killed his dad. But anyway. That’s my thoughts on that

and then he finds out that miles can draw. like rlly draw. he double majors in visual arts and graphic design and ofc hobie falls for him a little more bcs he loves him a smart cookie. and THEN they realise they're going to the same school??

gwen knows pav and hobie's friends with pav, ofc miles is friends with gwen; they all attend this arts college in New Brooklyn, gwen does ballet and pav bharatanatyam, hobie’s actually a goddamn violin prodigy majoring in classical music even though he prefers his guitar... anw he probably puts in a good word and gets miles an apprenticeship with their resident tattoo artist

he gets a proper piece from miles once miles is confident enough but he's already covered in tiny doodle tattoos bcs he lets miles practice on him and throughout all this.

they STILL aren't together.
