last gifset just reminds me how much angst they crammed before, during and after robert's exit in late 2019, like not only was robert losing his mind scared of what aaron would do when he went to prison, robert told baby SEB to watch over aaron, and when robert talked to chas about it she promised him they would all look after aaron, but then rebecca cut all access to seb, liv became an alcoholic and later DIED, vic got together with the brother of her rapist who robert went to prison for killing and became besties with his mom, chas started the affair that indirectly had liv killed and paddy with a shotgun in his mouth trying to kill himself, and to top it all off, on the day of liv's funeral chas basically told aaron to fuck off back to italy so she could continue her affair in peace. no wonder aaron came back in 2023 ready to shoot all dingles and villagers on sight. he had all the reasons in the world to be a broken angry mess. after he lost robert he really lost everything. robert was the only person in the whole world who always put him first and yeah maybe cutting all contact was extreme (regardless of the ryan of it) but he did it For aaron. even robert's cruelest act was sacrificing himself so that aaron could be happy. EVERYONE ELSE LET HIM DOWN, ALL OF THEM. it's sad and tragic and it breaks my heart and i hope robert never learns the true scope of what aaron went through because he will burn that village to the ground.
