Still incoherent about the new chapters, but something just occurred to me about the mechanics of the player's influence on Kris. In chapter four, Kris defies us by maliciously complying with our command's exact words:

Compare this to a similar scene with Asriel's room in Queen's mansion, where they simply close their eyes as we do the motion of opening the door- here they change what the actual motion is based on the command's wording.

Earlier, they cover their mouth before they can be cruel to Ralsei:

Kris stops themselves from completing their own sentence- they don't have any evidence to just predict what the player will say next, so this confirms they are aware of the whole sentence they have to say before they say it. Kris isn't just being forced through physical actions by the Red Soul, they can actually hear the entire command.

I don't know what to do with this piece of information at all.

Theorizing on DR CH 3&4

Okay, so Dess IS the knight.

Outside the horns, which could make the Knight Carol, we can see Dess has a connection to music and rebellion with her room in CH4. And in Chapter 3, the song "Raise your bat" seems to have been written by her (the real one, not the one Ralsei sing), probably stuff she once brought home and Tenna used.

And what form the Knight's sword take when spawning ? A BASEBALL BAT.

I think we can be confident the roaring knight we saw is Dess for sure (there could ofc be other "knights" to throw us off), which would explain Gerson reviving in CH4 (because he was her teacher) But then, who the hell is the person on the phone ?

It can't be Dess, as she seems pretty unable to speak right now, though it could fit with the gargled speech, but then why the only two that came by right after Kris called is Asgore (who was there already, cleaning) and Carol, Dess and Noelle's mother ? Futhermore when Carol know about us the player (red You ? definitely talking about the soul) ?

I think Carol is the one on the phone, Dess is the knight, and Kris is a sort of allies to them. My theory is that Dess had an accident in a dark world long ago, and Kris and Carol are trying to find a solution by using the prophecy (or perhaps in the case of the Weird route, Noelle, as Carol seems less cold to her in the weird route with her phone call) I think Kris himself goes along with it because they wants to protect Noelle while helping Dess (This could also explain Kris reluctance to play the piano on his own: they used to play with her, and feel guilty). But ultimately, they are more or less their own faction, just allied with the knights, but ultimately trying to have things goes a certain way, hence why they took the thorn out of Noelle after CH2's weird route. Now what does is the "knights" plan ? Considering Kris opening the door in CH 2 so Undyne can get in and get snatched (Toriel being a false herring), it might be trying to stop the heroes to get in the bunker by getting rid of the access codes so we can't learn it. And I bet in CH5 we'll learn Priest Alvin is missing (probably stuffed in the closet Kris doesn't wanna open in the church). But I can't say past that.

Or, this is all a big game all the characters are doing to get Susie to warm up and none of this is real.

Bloody hell can't wait for CH 5.

I don't know who the fuck is Wade Vox, I don't know how he got Luke's landspeeder, I still need him to become canon again.

Why ? Because I *desperately* need Star Wars Demolition 2.

I like how vader is drawn in that third panel, he's a towering dark shade, but his face looks like that of a small compassionate creature. He's not menacing, but he IS Vader.

I just realized, but when Vader meet Luke again in Return of The Jedi, you can see it as the poor bloke just panicking because Luke keeps going off script !

Think about it: this is Anakin Skywalker, who was trained for half his life by the Jedi who kept telling him to let go of attachement, Anakin who spent the other half being Vader the ball of self-hatred engineered by Sidious, the Vader that resorted to melodrama and dark humour to intimidate his subordinate while protecting his emotional self, and who everytime he had to confront people he loved acted as if this was Hamlet. So now, he is meeting his son, the last remnant as far as he knows of the love which served as catalyst for all this mess, who he most likely can feel spent the last few years getting trained by a Jedi. Most likely Grand Master Yoda himself, because who else ? He not only fully expect it to go as usual, he thinks Luke was trained to become a weapon against him, because he's convinced that's how Obi-wan and all wartime Jedi operates by now. And almost immediately Luke doesn't play it like usual.

"The Emperor has been expecting you." Usual melodrama, Vader is doing his little routine.

"I know Father" little pause, Vader wasn't expecting it, but brush it off.

Then Luke mention his old name, Anakin, that's usual, Vader knows his text, all is going well. And Luke immediately retort that it is the name of his true self, wait what ? That's not it ??? You're supposed to say that's the self I killed ? "I know there is good in you. The Emperor didn't driven it away from you fully." WHAT'S HAPPENING ??? WHY ARE YOU BEING COMPASSIONATE ??? "That was why you couldn't destroy me." NO THAT WAS BECAUSE I WANTED YOU BY MY SIDE ! DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE CORRUPTION AND ALL ! "That's why you won't bring me to your Emperor now" I-I... Shit, I need to bring us back on track.

And so he light Luke's saber, ignoring completely his whole tirade. "Your skills are complete." There, back on the Good vs Evil routine. You were trained by the Jedi to strike me down. "Indeed you are as powerful as the Emperor forseen." he's back in his safe zone, he gonna bring Luke to the emperor, this is going as usua-

"Come with me." FOR FU-

"Obi_wan once thought as you do." Okay, good way to go back to melodrama and tragedies. "You don't know the power of the DARK SIDE. I MUST OBEY MY MASTER." There you go ! Back on track, son ! No intimate stuff, just pure EVIL melodrama !

"I will not turn. And you'll be forced to kill me." Oh... Oh... Shit. He's serious.

Shit I don't want to kill him. "If that is your destiny."

"Search your feelings, father. You can't do this. I feel the conflict within you let go of your hate!"

And Vader finally truly breaks, just a little: "It is... too late for me, son." his voice give out some emotion. That is the moment where Anakin finally start to return. Because Luke didn't let him being his dramatic self, when all the others enabled him.
