Ya'll already know Jack Merridew was sunburned as hell on that island...that face paint was just a creative way to hide some of it. My guy was absolutely wrecked like some type of red-haired popsicle on the 4th of July. Live laugh love using silly Jack Merridew headcanons to cope-

jack ghosting someone when he thinks they're about to leave him and thinking 'heh. that'll show them who's boss" and then it sinks in and he just feels perpetually lonely and he has nobody to complain to because it's his fault

he stares at the ground with a sinking feeling in his stomach, the whole world continues on without him in other people's lives, their worlds go on turning whether he's there or not, but his feels at a standstill, no matter how much he tries to keep on going, the lack of any social interaction at all sends him into a spiral, and he can't complain, because it's his fault

and ralph!!! rslph ralph omg ralph yiipeeee!!! ralph doesn't say anything about it because he doesn't think he's worth staying for anyway! in his mind he's lucky jack stayed for as long as he did

jack stims and roger goes 'wtf are you doing' and suddenly jack realises that not everybody lets their hands go crazy style in the air

jack zones out because he's thinking of one very specific situation (that would never even happen) and the multiple ways he would react and go through it (they're all unrealistic) (the situation isn't even possible to get into)

he probably imagines himself fighting off bears and tigers to protect ralph or smth and then ralph does that damsel in distress forehead thing and faints and jack is conveniently just close enough to run and catch him and bridal carries him away from the defeated danger
