The townsfolk of Union crowd around the meeting house, Elijah stood as he held a lit torch. Tear blurred Elizabeth's vision as the people around stare at her in disgust. She was already known as the Unions slut. Now, the witch.
"As sure as the sun rises, we will purge Union of this... wretched pollution." He states before throwing her to the ground.
Elizabeth grunts as her knees hit the ground beneath her, groaning.
Elijah continued. "We will search every house, every inch of wood! We will not rest and we will not have mercy!"
"No mercy!" Everyone shouted around her.
"So help me, God, we will be cleansed of these anathemans!"
He continued speaking as the people kept shouting before they disperse. The three men beside Elizabeth grab her by the arms, ripping her off the ground and bringing her inside the meeting house where a chain awaits near the podium. They throw her to the ground once more, battering and bruising her knees. She tries to crawl away but get stopped by Elijah as he picks up the large chain and restraints her.
"Please, I'll do anything just let me go."
"Shut up, bitch!"
Elijah, Caleb and your brother exit the meeting house as they leave Elizabeth alone. Her face is bruised and swollen, her lip split open from the brutal abuse she's taken from the men in town. She would try to escape but she knew deep down that someone was out there, and she would be killed then possibly by a gun.
After an eternity of waiting for something, the door slowly opened and closed behind the figure. It approached Elizabeth, fearful of who it is. It's Sarah, her happiness has entered.
"Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth rose while the chains dangle beside her. Sarah gently pulls her hood back, extending her arms to the blonde female.
"What have they done to you?"
"I am to hang on the morrow. And if you don't flee, you will too."
"No,"
"Listen to me." Elizabeth sternly said. "You need to run."
"No, I won't leave you."
"You must!"
Sarah sighs as Elizabeth slinks to the wooden planks below, a reassuring hand rests on her covered knee.
"This is my fault anyway!" Elizabeth begins, blaming herself. "I led the Devil here."
"That is not how it works. You do not summon the Devil by chance. You have to make a choice."
"Don't you see? It doesn't matter if we did it or not. They think we're guilty, so we are."
"You're right. Everyone believes we've done it. So what difference does it make if we do now?"
"What are you saying?"
"I will go back to the widow. I will make a deal with the devil. Perhaps that can save us."
"But the devil..."
"Are you mad? I don't fear the Devil. Elizabeth, I fear the neighbor who would accuse me. I fear the mother that would let her daughter hang. I fear Union. They lead us like lambs to the slaughter and expect us to just follow. Well, they will see... I am no lamb."
A male in the distance shouts. "Sarah Fier! Come out!" The two females look toward the entrance.
"When this is over, we will leave this place. We will go far away and we'll dance every night, then kiss in the broad daylight."
Sarah then leans in, pressing her lips against Elizabeth's as the two females stay there before pulling apart after a few seconds.
"I can't lose you, Sarah."
"You won't," She sniffles. "If they want a witch, I will give them a witch."
In seconds, Sarah pecks her lips once again unknowing that'll their last. She then fled the meeting house, quietly sneaking out as the door closed behind her. Elizabeth began sobbing into her palms, just wanting to be free.

"No!" Mrs. Winstead cried out as she and Sarah's father stood up.
"Witches!" Thomas rose from his seat, as well as everyone else. "Witches! Witches!"
Everyone began shouting once more, but it died down when a few men backed up Caleb's story. "I saw Elizabeth Winstead and Sarah Fier,"
The men said, convincing the townspeople more and more - except for Abigail, Hannah, Lizzie, Isaac.
Caleb returned back on the stand, seeming pleased with himself for convincing everyone that Elizabeth Winstead and Sarah Fier were witches. He glanced over out the window and pointed. "Witches!" he raised his voice to gather everyone's attention. "The witches!"
The two female jump down from the stump, Sarah begins running with Elizabeth trailing behind anywhere but The Meeting House. The men quickly grabbed lanterns and ran after the two females.
The two girls run past a fence, panting as they continued. "We need to get away from here!"
"And go where?"
Elizabeth kept running until her foot catches on something beneath her, causing her to fall towards the ground.
"Here! They're here! Witches are over here!" Elijah shouted, the lanterns approaching.
Sarah kept running but stopped by the opposite end of the fence, and looked back at the fallen female.
"Go!" She shouts. "Go!"
And with that, Sarah Fier took off into the night sky as Elizabeth laid on her stomach in the grass. Caleb and Elijah surround her. Fear is platard on her face.
"The devil is in this disgusting whore!" Caleb shouted.
"No!" She shouts.
Elijah threatened her with a stick, shouting at her to be quiet as he told Caleb to check for marks. He stooped her Elizabeth's level, grabbing at her top while she struggles forcing his hands back. She shouts, but to no avail she loses all hope and continued to fight back before he manages to untie her top, ripping it further down the seems to get a look at her chest. With tears threatening to spill from her eyes, Elijah lifts her dress as she feels the breeze blow between her legs as Caleb exposes her bare chest.
Elijah beats her with the stick in hand, slapping her face as it begins to swell. The two men grab her arms, dragging her through the settlement. Her knees drag across the jagged ground, scrapping her knees in the process. Thomas -- her brother -- cackles as he grabs her face, laughing in it while Elizabeth keeps an emotionless face. The pain seems to get worse, throbbing.
Just kill me now... She thinks. She pleads.
If she were dead, things will be fine and she'll be free from the pain.

Elizabeth returned to The Meeting House with Sarah, so they could listen in on the conversations being held about the monstrosity. The two females stood on a previously chopped tree stub, looking through the window. She saw her grieving mother sitting beside Abigail's father, sobbing as she watched in front of her. She told herself things were going to be okay.
Jakob Berman took the stand. "Hear ye! Hear ye! Good people of Union, listen! There is a dark and evil force at work here. If we are ever to end this misery, then we must root out the guilty."
"Jakob, please!" Solomon interrupted, earning everyone's attention. "Goodman Berman! The man responsible is dead! Pastor Miller-"
"The pastor," Jakob cut him off, pointing to himself. "Our pastor was a man of God, and this was not him! He was possessed by darkness. My child, my dear Constance, and many others are dead."
Harriet glanced over at Sarah. She watched too before looking at the blonde then looking back through the window. "Our futures... many of our entire bloodlines have been stolen from us. Someone must pay!"
Mad Thomas rose and stood in front of everyone. "I saw some little lambs of our town laughing, dallying on the full moon last!"
The crowd shouted for someone to explain, commotion getting louder and louder. Elizabeth saw her friend and former lover Isaac rising, making his way toward the stand, knowing this can't be good. Isaac walked onto the stand to explain. "There were some of us in the woods, but there was no... we drank Apple Jack. We danced. We are young! That is not a crime!"
The adults shouted at him and he sat back down in his seat. Thomas once took the stand. "Look upon your children!" he ordered. "For they will bear the Devil's mark!"
"Witchcraft!" Elijah Goode hollered. "Witchcraft!" He took the podium. "Yes, witchcraft. But just as my brother, Solomon, heroically expelled the darkness among us by killing our afflicted pastor, we too will punish and surmount this evil!"
"Yes, we will!" the crowd screamed. Most of the shouting was inaudible to their ears as they stood.
Elizabeth lost her footing but managed to balance herself once again, pressing her hands against the glass to steady her feet.
"As survivors," Elijah continued. "Our faces always will remain toward the sun."
"Hear, hear!"
"I traced it on my patrol!" a man announced, taking the stand. "This scourge centers on Union proper! I searched the woods. It does not extend beyond the settlement. It's here! It's in Union! We are being punished, and I have a list of names." He slammed his hand down on the podium. Half the crowd began shouting once more.
"Enough!" Solomon shouted, standing up. "Enough! Listen to yourselves! Speculation! Chasing shadows! Imagined curses! I ask. . . do you have proof? No. Or you?" He looked at Mad Thomas. "Or any of ya?"
Before Elizabeth could relax from Solomon's words, Caleb stood up. She tensed, wondering what kind of lies he would come up with now.
"I have proof!" he exclaimed. "It was some nights back when the full moon had risen just beside the sun. As I lay sleeping, she came to me. She witched me and led me to the woods. She was naked... and riding a red mule. And the red mule became a horned man. And she made me watch as she lay with the Devil."
"Who?" Mad Thomas demanded.
"As both of them lay with the devil," Caleb finished.
"Both of them?" Elijah repeated.
Caleb turned his head, looking right at the older man. "Elizabeth Winstead and Sarah Fier!"

Where is Mary?
Sweat began to beam on Elizabeth's hairline, chest rising and falling in a fast pace as she glanced over, barely catching Thomas, Isaac, and Sarah running over to the side door. She rushed over. Abigail had managed to push herself near the front and didn't notice her friends leave.
When the female stepped over, the door was open and Solomon turned around towards his brother. "Keep everyone back," he instructed.
"Solomon, wait!" Sarah moved toward him, but her path was blocked by Elijah. Solomon glanced at her and grabbed a pitchfork before heading inside the house. Elijah kept everyone back, some of the men helping him.
Elizabeth couldn't see all that well, since Isaac had stepped in front of her, but she could see the Pastor standing at his podium, his head down while the kids all faced him. She tried her best searching for her baby sister. Solomon crouched to the ground and glanced up at the pastor. Soon enough, the crowd of worried parents and siblings pushed through and began to find their children. Abigail went to find Constance, followed by Sarah looking for Henry. Elizabeth caught sight of her sister's dark brown hair first and made her way over to her. Horrified screams left Elizabeth's lips at what she saw.
Mary's eyes had been cut out and dried-up blood fell down her cheeks as if they were tears, staining her dress. Elizabeth began sobbing, hugging her dead sister close. Slowly, she turned toward Pastor Cyrus Miller, a man she'd trusted with her entire life, who'd just brutally murdered a dozen children, and... also had his eyes cut out.
Her eyes widened, horrified. She suddenly felt as if she needed to clean her own eyes. She glanced at her younger sister then back at him.
How is he still alive? Surely he was supposed to be deceased like the surrounding children. Am I having a nightmare?
Elizabeth pinched herself on the arm, wincing from the pain as she knew this wasn't a nightmare.
"Sarah!" she heard Solomon shout and she opened her eyes, just in time to see Cyrus about to approach Sarah only for Solomon to stab the pitchfork into his side, making his body go limp and hit the floor. A pool of blood begins to form under him.
"No!" Mrs. Miller cried out, extending her hand for her husband, only to find the same sight.
"Witchcraft!" Elijah shouted. "Witchcraft!"
Thomas climbed onto the pastor's podium, holding his arms out.
"Evil, show yourself!" He shouted.
"Witchcraft!" Elijah bellowed once again.
"Show yourself!" Thomas exclaimed more. "Show yourself!"
Eventually, the men pulled everyone away so they could get the children's bodies out of The Meeting House. Elizabeth stumbled to find her mother, certain she'd heard the commotion and rushed to figure out what was happening.
She quickly found her mother.
Without hesitation, Mrs. Slater pulled Elizabeth into her arms. She pat her head, smoothing down her hair. She was unable to understand how Cyrus Miller, a man she'd grown up with, had murdered multiple children. Children Mother Winstead had viewed as her own, such as Henry Fier and Constance Berman especially her other daughter Mary.
Evil had found Union and everyone could feel it, even Elizabeth as she believed it was her and Sarah. But she couldn't announce it in front of her homophobic mother, she'd get hanged for her crimes of loving who she wanted.

She turned, her own eyebrows furrowing at the sight of a group forming around it as a few men struggled to get the bucket up.
Elizabeth began walking towards it with Harriet and Isaac following behind her. They stopped next to Abigail and Sarah Fier, whom she had just noticed, trying not to engage in anything. She had blood on her face.
"What's happened?" Sarah wondered, glancing over to her friends. Elizabeth didn't answer her, keeping her attention locked on the well. She merely shrugged, and Abigail simply looked at her. "What's going on here?"
"The bucket's caught on something," the female replied.
They were quiet after that, too focused on the men trying to get the bucket unstuck. With a final grunt and tug, they finally were able to raise the rope. Elizabeth edged closer, only to gasp and back away when she saw what she did.
"A dead dog in the well!" a woman exclaimed.
Hearing the voice made Elizabeth uncomfortable to her core, stepping away from Sarah a few inches, shooting her an apologetic look.
The women surrounding the well cried out and turned away as the men raised the dog. "Our water!" another woman blubbered. "It's poisoned!"
"See? You have already drunk from the cup of darkness," Thomas pointed at the well. "This is the work of the Devil. He has come to stake our land. Who among you has welcomed the Devil to Union? Whose lust?" He sent a pointed look to Sarah then Elizabeth. "Whose sin? Oh, foolish Union. The Devil has come and cast his darkness over us. And his darkness grows within each of us like a rot.".
Elizabeth stayed silent as she continued standing there. She was able to move her legs, entering the house and was greeted by her mother at the dining table. Her mother was a widow. Her husband died a month ago due to an unknown disease in which no one could cure. But she had her daughters, and she loved them very much.
"Where's the water?" She inquired, tilting her head at the empty bucket in Elizabeth's hand.
Elizabeth glanced at her younger sister, exchanging a look before the female decided to answer.
"They found a dead dog in the well, mother. I couldn't get any."
Sometime later, Abigail stopped by in search of her younger sister Constance as Elizabeth was wondering the same about Mary. She stepped out and called her sisters name, looking around the settlement.
Her eyes then landed on The Meeting House where a crowd of people were grouping, screaming. She didn't seem to be the only one of them noticing that. Elizabeth tilted her head.
"What's happening over there?" She asks.
"The pastor has locked himself and children in there with him," the man told her. Abigail sucked in a deep, shaky breath. Everyone had been talking about how the pastor wasn't himself. It didn't help that they could see the Millers also trying to get in.
"Constance!" Abigail screamed, pushing through in attempt to get to the door. "Where is Constance?" Tears brimmed her eyes as worry flooded her veins. "Constance?"

Elizabeth walked through the settlement. Her mother had sent her to get water from the well. Mad Thomas stepped in front of her, drunkenly stumbling closer to the girl with his finger out toward her. She backed away from her brother.
"Did you know?" he hummed, eying Elizabeth. "About Sarah Miller and some whore?"
Ignore him, Elizabeth. Just more of his useless ramblings. Elizabeth thought to herself, keeping herself proper.
Elizabeth went to push past the male, only for him stop her.
"They were out late last night," he went on, stopping her attempt to get away from him.
"I don't care, Thomas." Elizabeth spat, finally moving past him. "Leave me be!"
"...what you are, girl!"
The female heard her mother shout and stopped to see what was happening. Sarah was on the ground, with the woman standing above her in the doorframe.
Her younger sister Mary standing behind. "You'd better pray for mercy on your damned soul!" With that, she slammed the door shut.
Sarah picked herself up off of the ground and looked around at everyone staring at her. Sarah quickly headed off, back towards her home. Elizabeth began walking once more, hoping no one will find out it was her, who lay with Sarah.
But she knows the truth will slip.

"Are you, Hannah and Sarah still going to the woods?" Elizabeth questioned, lowering her voice so no one could hear them.
Lizzie nodded, lips twitching. "Meet us by the woods."
~~
That night.
Trailing down the dirt path, Lizzie held a lantern as Hannah and Sarah were wrapped in thin blankets. Elizabeth wondered why they were going to the widow, but decided to listen in on Lizzie speaking.
"The berries make you see the world beyond our own," Lizzie stated as she guided the three other girls through the woods. "Just one bite."
"What does an old lady need with that?" Sarah questioned, furrowing her brows.
"She's not just an old lady," Lizzie argued. "The Widow's 1,000 years old. She drinks the blood of virgins to keep her youth."
"Well, you're safe then," Sarah retorted, making Lizzie shoot her a playful, dirty look.
Elizabeth knew Sarah wouldn't turn to her since everyone in union knew she was a whore for being with two men almost at the same time. She stayed quiet. Lizzie grinned but continued about the Widow.
"She sacrificed her husband to become the Devil's bride. That's how she gained eternal life."
"Well, I heard she kept the company of the natives," Sarah tilted her head. "And that she even fell in love with one. That's why she was exiled. She learned their medicine too. Solomon told me. He took his wife to her after they lost their child, but it was too late."
"Are you sure this is the right way?" Elizabeth wondered suddenly as she stopped moving, making them all stop with her. "How do you know where we're going?"
"I've been there before," Lizzie answered. "Remember when Abigail had her ring of fire?"
"She was scratching like a dog during Father's sermon," Hannah hark back to, a small smile gracing her lips at the memory. "Mother told me she'd lain with a demon. The Devil's gift."
"More like Mad Thomas's gift," Sarah replied.
Lizzie turned around and began walking again. "Well, whoever she lay with, Abbi made me go to the widow with her."
"And the Widow fixed her with witchcraft?" Elizabeth asked, turning to follow Lizzie.
"Yes, witchcraft," Lizzie nodded. "And some foul-smelling paste made for whores like Abbi Berman."
They made it, quietly walking into the Widow's home.
"Widow Mary?" Lizzie called out quietly, leading the other girls in. "Widow Mary?" Getting no answer, Lizzie grew giddy. "She's not here. Find the berries."
At her instructions, Elizabeth followed Lizzie with Sarah and Hannah right behind her. She began looking for the berries, lightly tilting bowls and placing them back when she saw nothing. Various items were placed on shelved. She then found a case with a book inside, pulling it out and sitting on the ground with the large book. She examines each page, seeing skeletons, goats, and other odd creatures. A Simple Exchange was read on one of the pages, scanning the names beneath.
"Abaddon... Azazel... Beelzebub... Moloch." She got to the final name, pointing to it. "Satan."
"Don't," A woman's voice rang, startling Elizabeth as it made her gasp out of fear.
"Widow..."
"The veil has grown with the turn of the moon. And with it, the Morning Star rises."
Elizabeth pulls out her small dagger, given to her by her father. The Widow continued,
"Beware the Devil. He lives in that book. He calls to you from it."
She grabs Elizabeth's wrist, pushing her to the wall and holding the knife harshly against her delicate skin.
"He senses you now. And, if you're not careful, he'll bore himself beneath your skin and he'll consume you from the inside out."
The curtain drew back, startling both females as Sarah stood there.
"Elizabeth?" Sarah was taken aback.
"Get out," the Widow whispered. "Get out!"
All three girls fled towards where they'd entered. Hannah and Lizzie both quietly giggled at the encounter, proudly holding the berries. Sarah and Elizabeth were quiet, the Winstead girl obviously shaken up from her encounter with the old woman.
~~
"Full moon rises," Lizzie announced, holding her hand out to reveal the berries.
Elizabeth cocked her head and cleared her throat at Lizzie, making the raven-haired girl sigh. "Thank you too, Elizabeth."
Isaac and Abbi saw Lizzie and stood. They gathered around Lizzie, each one of their friends taking a berry from her hand. Elizabeth extended an arm at the berried, picking one up and gently holding it between her thumb and index finger.
Once all of their friends had berries, they all held it delicately in their hands. "One," Lizzie began counting slowly. "Two. . . Three."
"To the fruits of the land," Hannah said before they popped the berries in their mouths. Like before, it took a few seconds for Elizabeth began to feel light.
She spun around with her friends before making her way toward Sarah slowly. She giggled as Sarah took her hand, leading Elizabeth away from the party and to a small space to dance and twirl around with her.
They swayed before Elizabeth lost her footing and fell into Sarah. She smiled as the female placed her hand on the blonde's waist, helping her stand upright.
Within a second, their lips found each other's. Elizabeth pulled away, taking a much needed breath as she found herself even more intoxicated with the female. Sarah pushed her against a large rock, tilting her head and pinning her against it. She began a trail of kisses down her neck and towards the top of her breasts, beginning to untie her top before abruptly stopping.
"Do you want me, Elizabeth?"
She nodded. "Yes."
Sarah leaned in, lips pressing against her soft skin. She finished untying her top and slipped her hands under, cupping her breasts before sliding her hands down further. Her hands pushed the material up far enough to where Sarah can see Elizabeth's inner thighs. She begins kissing the skin between her thighs, nibbling on her clothed slit.
Sarah grabbed the hem of Elizabeth's panties, sliding them down and getting a sight. She begins to lower her head, sucking lightly at her clit right when the sound of a tree branch snapping causes the two women to step back, flustered and confused. Elizabeth was scared someone had caught them together.
"What was that?"
Elizabeth quickly slides her undergarments up before grabbing Sarah's hand and fleeing. They run back to Union, cowering behind a nearby house. The two females make eye contact with each other.
"Someone was there. Someone saw us."
"They couldn't," Sarah retorted.
"What if it was the Widow or someone else?"
"But if someone saw us, if he tells--"
"These spoiled piglets don't scare me."
"They'll hang us, Sarah."
"Well, let them hang us then. I was not alive before now anyway.
Elizabeth grins widens, cupping Sarah's face before bringing her into a passionate kiss. A few seconds later, they pull apart.

The blonde haired Elizabeth leans forward, holding a broom in her hand. Angelica stands in the same place, clutching her dress.
Angelica looks up.
The sky is bright above as the breeze flows through her long blonde hair, causing a chill to run up her spine. She began walking along the dirt road as her feet kick up loose stones and coble.
She was visiting an old lover, Solomon Goode to take a piglet that was given by Sarah. She felt safe around Solomon, but regrets the relation after knowing his wife and child died prior to his love affair with a Slater. She exits the union, stepping off the large dirt path to a thinner one where the dirt was more of a reddish tint compared to the almost black dirt in the Union.
She paced by Sarah Fier, who blew a subtle kiss at her and calling the name Elizabeth. "The full moon rises before nightfall."
"A good night to enjoy the fruits of the land," Elizabeth nodded as she realized where she needed due.
Saying goodbye, she steps further along the path coming up to a creek with large rocks in her way. Elizabeth walked across, and losing her balance a little before making to the rest of the path. She finally makes it to Solomon Goode's house, knocking lightly on the wooden door in front of her. Soon enough, he answered as he greeted Elizabeth with a soft smile, letting her in.
She made her way inside, pulling the sack off her shoulder which was rubbed raw. She sat the sack on the table, untying it and pulling out a freshly born piglet as it oinks in excitement. She giggles, handing him the little piggy before taking the patato sack of a pack and holding it close. She wanted a little piglet of her own, but knowing her father would use it for breakfast.
Elizabeth buried the thought, clearing her throat and thinking of the right words to say. He smiled at the pigglet, holding it up to give it another look.
"This it too much. But thank you. This means truly."
The only thing she could do was smile at the sweet moment, looking closely at his sunken and tired features. Knowing that the day's light is slowly being lost, she needed to get back so she can do her chores before tonight.
Saying goodbye, Elizabeth stepped out the cabin and onto the lonely path, eventually making her way towards the union. She sets down the sack and begins her chores, sweeping the dirt of the cracked, wooden stairs. The only thing she wanted was to spend her night with her friends, hoping that'll happen as she daydreams about her lover, Sarah Fier.
Butterflies erupt in her gut as she swept, she continued dreaming.
Elizabeth Winstead was many things. She was the Unions whore for having a relationship with two different men on two separate occasions. Her homophobic parents alway drove her crazy, even though they loved the girl, wondering why she did the things she commited. She saw good in everyone, even Thomas -- the town's drunk. Or the way she would clasp her teeth against her short nails when she got nervous. All these things drove her close friends and family crazy.
However, she was hiding something. A secret she's kept very well hidden. She was in love with Sarah Fier. If her parents knew she's enamoured with such a girl, she'd be sent to sleep without dinner for weeks on end -- theoretically speaking. Until someone had caught the two by the trees one evening, sending the town in craze.
Sarah had been one of Elizabeth's closest friends. They grew up together and their parents were good friend, however she was afraid they will know about the affair she's having and will be sentenced to death.
For them, the secret brewing between the two had slipped it makes her life a living hell, knowing what's to come.
Elizabeth just hoped it wouldn't be this way, and it was unfortunately.

( 1994 )
Angelica came back to reality, rising along with her mother and the Johnson siblings.
"Like I said, your best chance is to run from this place. Go as far as you can, hope a bus doesn't hit you on the way out."
"We found the body, mom off Highway 5 in the woods between Shadyside and Sunnyvale."
"That's not possible,"
"Oh, it's there. Trust us. The chains, the bones, the whole thing."
"That could be anyone,"
"Why do you think our friends died?" Deena interrogated. "For the same reason they killed Alice, Ziggy,"
"The killers came after us because we found something they didn't want us to find. And, I wish to God it never happened, but we found it."
"We found what you were looking for in '78." Deena finished. "We found Sarah Fier."
"Look, mom, please, we... Nurse Lane was right. We can end the curse by reuniting the hand with the body. And we know where the body is, so all we need is the hand. What happened to camp nightwing? Is the hand bone still there? Is it still buried under the hanging tree?"
The three teens hurriedly exit the one story house, rushing toward Deena's car and getting in. Deena drives to the Shadyside Mall, where she halts the vehicle as they step out of her car. They rush inside and toward the large tree in the center of the mall, getting on their knees and begin digging. Suddenly Angelica hit something, digging further before unearthing a lone hand bone. She sits up as she exchanges glances with the siblings.
She grabs the bone, rushing out of the mall with Deena and Josh getting back in the car and driving out to Highway 5. Angelica, who holds the bone and is seated in the passenger seat, throws the door open. She exits the vehicle before crouching down far enough to make eye contact with Deena and Josh.
"Lock the doors,"
"No, we're coming with you!" Josh exclaims.
"No! You both are not."
"Angelica..." Deena paused before continuing. "Your nose is bleeding."
Angelica dabs her nose with her finger, bringing them back and seeing blood soak her fingertips. She shuts the door, making her way toward the spot she was at last night with her friends before falling to her knees. She remembers the faces of Kate, Simon, Sam... Deena and Josh.
"I got you, you witch."
She uncovers the hand bone, digging through the red moss and opens the red Sunnyvale varsity jacket. She picked up the hand, resting it against the rest of Sarah Fier's remains. Suddenly, Angelica sees red as her eyes cross.
Angelica stands in the same spot as Elizabeth Winstead, holding the same broom as she looks around her. A quaint town surrounded her, villagers busy at work.

Twenty Four

Cindy comes to as she slowly sits up, breathing heavily as she looks around. The possessed killers are gone as the bodies of her girlfriend and sister capture her attention.
That was July 19, 1978. Five thousand, nine hundred and thirty-seven days ago.
My best friend was dead and so was I.
A panicked Cindy gets on her knees and begins chest compressions on Bunny as Ziggy layed there lifeless, bleeding out the rest of the way...
...Dead.
"Come on, come... on." She huffs. "You...can't...leave...me. You have a daughter. If you won't live for me, live for her. She...needs...her...mother."
Nick ran up to Ziggy as he ignored Cindy and performed compressions on her but there was no use, considering that she died. He curses to himself as he hung his head low. Bunny, however, started breathing although it was faint.
Most days I wish I'd stay dead.
Suddenly Bunny begin coughing and gasping for air before panicking. Blood soaked her white tank top as well as her blue jean shorts. Cindy holds her hands over Bunny's wounds, trying to stop the blood from pouring out.
...
"Wait. Wait, you're Bunny?"
An expressionless Amelia stared at a wall, almost as if she were about to break down. She continued telling the story of how she survived.
...
The female laid atop gurney, tired and weak from the night she had. She looked up and saw Cindy and Nick, but not Ziggy as Bunny feared something bad happened to the red head.
"Z--Ziggy, where is she?" Bunny croaked out weakly before looking toward the body next to her.
"She's... She's dead, Bunny." Cindy speaks, tears pouring from her eyes as she gazes into hers.
"Cin.. Cindy, that can't be! She was fine, and now you're telling me she's suddenly dead?"
Cindy nodded, lowering her head and sobbed. Bunny didn't know what to feel at the moment, knowing she is bleeding between the packaged wounds. Tears forced their way out making you wail in the process before a sheriff approached the tw females. Bunny leaned her head against the headrest, staring at the sky above. The officer snapped his fingers, exhaling before grabbing ahold of his belt.
"Hey, what's your name? Look at me. What's your name?"
Bunny gasps, barely keeping eye contact with the male.
"Bunny," She replies in a weak tone.
"It's Amelia. Her real name Amelia Slater."
"Where's Zig... Chris... Where's Christine?" You asked.
The offer stepped to the side as you got the view of your deceased friend lying lifeless on a stretcher as well. A coroner covers her face with a sheet before wheeling her towards a vehicle while you watched on helplessly, wishing she would have gone back and saved her.
Ziggy... my best friend she died for nothing. She should still be here with us, however, she isn't.
I told everyone the story of how she died. The story I just told you.
And no one believed me.
...
Deena and Josh looked at each other, Angelica had tears welling up in her eyes, taking a glance at the Johnson siblings.
"And Nick?" Deena asked.
"Besides being Angelica's father, he..." Amelia trailed off.
...
"It was her. Sarah Fier, the witch. The curse, it's... it's real."
Nick peered down at Amelia, his face blank with a serious stare as it almost made the Slater sister uncomfortable.
I thought he was different. I thought he would believe me for the sake of our daughter.
But Nick had a destiny a destiny in this town. And you don't become sheriff talking about ghost stories.
I couldn't see him again. Not after that.
And Cindy? Well, we had trauma to live with, however, she became a legal guardian for Angelica. We got married in 1988, and built a life even though we both were terrified those monsters... my brother would come after us.
My cousin, Caroline, was amongst the victims killed in Camp Nightwing. She was only nineteen-years-old at the time of her death, and she never believed me.
And I never got to say goodbye.
The paramedics loaded Bunny into the ambulance as Cindy followed, lying and stating that they were cousins.
The witch... The town curse...
For one night, Cindy and Ziggy believed that there was a way to end it. So I thought there was too. But I know... there is no end.
Once at the hospital, Amelia had to get surgery since her knee was broken and the bone was sticking straight out, she was stabbed four times by Ruby Lane and three times by glass shards -- one in her hand, leg and side, and had her leg broken by so she's pretty messed up. The doctors put Amelia on strong pain meds so she is comfortable as she later regained consciousness, looking around and began to panic.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm here." A voice spoke.
Amelia glanced over at Cindy, making eye contact with her. "Cindy?"
"You're okay."
"Where am I?"
"The hospital. We did it. We survived."
"Holy shit, we did?"
"Yeah,"
Amelia looked at her body, a brace secured around her knee as multiple bandages sealed her stab wounds including her palm. She weakly extended her arm out as Cindy grabbed her hand firmly, limping toward the bed.
"I love you,"
"I love you too,"
Cindy had a bandage on her chin where the ax had cut her, and had a slight limp from falling but other than that, she was okay. Bunny brought her onto her bed and began sobbing. She joined, crying into Amelia's gown. There wasn't much said, staying in the same spot before Cindy remembered something. She sat up and wiped the tears away, her big blue eyes stared back at her.
"Your daughter will be here soon. I called your aunt while you were in surgery, and although she wasn't too thrilled, although she decided on bringing Angelica here, so you can see her again."
Those words made Amelia feel good, knowing that she'll be able to hold her daughter had tears streaming down her face once again but Cindy helped wipe then away, sitting on the bed and making sure she wasn't crushing her broken leg. Amelia told her she was fine, but deep down was scared the killers -- her brother would come back to haunt you once again. But Amelia's racing thoughts stopped when there was a knock on the door, expecting a fist to break through the window and enter to hurt her once again.
However, it was her aunt and daughter. A smile crept up on her, unaware that Cindy had gotten up and laced her fingers together. Amelia's aunt raised a brow, but ignored it and approached the recovering female giving her a hug before handing Angelica to her. She had just turned four months a couple days prior, without her knowledge.
Amelia held her baby in her arms as emotions filled her body, talking to her. She embraced her gently and knew that she was home and had a destiny... to protect her daughter with Cindy Berman.
Later, Cindy had a chance to hold Angelica again as Amelia was asleep. In her dream, Amelia went back the few hours from this morning, running away from her brother as he chased her. Chasing Amelia so much and being stabbed by ruby made her squirm in her sleep as tears began running down Amelia's cheeks. She was scared, fighting back as her body began to hurt. She was stabbed again before dying.
Amelia woke, panicked and gasped for air and looked around her whilst grabbing her side, checking for blood when all she felt was a bandage. She began to sweat profusely as Cindy rushed over, kneeling beside her. She held Angelica in one arm as her other hand grabbed Amelia's, making her look at the Berman sister. Breathing heavily and groaning, she breathed calmly as Amelia started doing the same, eventually calming down from her nightmare.
"Hey, you're alright. It's okay. I got you. I'm not letting you go anytime soon, especially this little one."
Amelia weakly smiled at her, knowing she lived for this and that's what you plan on doing.

Alice hobbles toward one of the picnic tables before sitting down. Cindy laces her fingers with Bunny as they sit side by side, Ziggy joins opposite of you. Alice opens the shoulder bag and pulls out a skeleton hand.
Bunny along with the three other females all exchange nervous glances.
"What? What is it?" Ziggy asks.
Alice inhaled, glancing at her. "It's Sarah Fier's lost hand."
"Nurse Lane..." Cindy started at the bone, swallowing hard. "She spent her entire life looking for this. A way to stop the curse that took her daughter."
Bunny lightly squeezed Cindy's hand under the table and looked at her. Looking back, Ziggy was grinning brightly as they shook their heads at the ginger.
"'Without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm.'" Alice says, sliding the book over to Ziggy for her to read, trying to catch her up. "The curse will last until body and hand unite."
"That led us to the bone. And so... if the legend is true, that means her body's still buried--"
"By the hanging tree," Bunny finished, looking at Alice.
"We can end this." Cindy spoke. "No more murders, no more curse, no more..."
Cindy's gaze wandered to Tommy's lifeless body on the tile floor of the kitchen.
"...pain."
The four females exchanged quiet glances at each other, Cindy held the other brunette's hand tighter, holding her gaze. "We can save Shadyside... Tonight."
Bunny let go of Cindy's hand as she dragged the hand bone across the table, toward her. She began to examine it, not noticing her nose beginning to bleed. Without realizing it, Bunny's blood drips from her nose and on to the bone, zoning out for a few seconds as she sees the witch -- Sarah Fier -- angry and shouting. Cindy reaches her hand out, resting it on Bunny's as she jumped back with a sharp intake of breath. Concern takes over Cindy's face.
"My nose..." Bunny breathed. "I bled on the hand and... I think I saw her."
"Who?"
"Sarah Fier,"
Again, they all exchanged glances at one another, panicking slightly.
"She was..." Continuing her explanation. "She was angry."
"We have to bury this thing... right fucking now."
Cindy nodded before rising and running into the room over. Coming back, she passed Bunny a shovel, Ziggy a smaller spade, holding a shovel herself.
"Okay, let's go."
Alice looked at Cindy, almost squinting her eyes. "What I have to use my hands?"
"No, you're staying her."
"Come on, I can hop just fine." Alice chuckled, showing off the few hops she takes.
She turned back to face the three other females, standing in front of the open doorway. Now Alice had a serious expression. Bunny was worried about her, but knew it was best for her to stay here since she needed to bury the bone with the body to end the curse...
...For Shadyside.
Alice had a serious expression plastered on her face.
"I watched my dad go to jail when I was six. I watched my mom steal... so I could eat."
She scoffed. "First time I cut myself I was twelve. It was after... Well, you know when."
Cindy's eyes were glossy, knowing that she looked more guilty than Bunny's ever seen her.
"And now tonight," Alce started again. "I watched your perfect boyfriend and your brother turn into a monster and killed the only person I've ever loved. I've waited...my whole fucking life for this. And now I've found it. Let me see this through. For Arnie...for Tommy...for Shadyside."
It took Cindy a few seconds, but she began nodding. "For Shadyside."
Bunny looked at them with a soft expression, a small smile forming on her face. "For Shadyside."
She then looked toward Ziggy, who nodded with a smirk. "For Shadyside"
Bunny and the other females exchange smiles once more before turning back to Alice, but her face drops. Tommy appears behind her, lifting his ax. Bunny and Cindy shout Alice's name, but it was too late. When Alice look behind her, the ax came down and slid across her chest, making the pixie-cut haired female fall to the ground.
Even though Bunny weren't close to Alice, it furiated her when Tommy murdered Alice. With a wave of anger, Bunny rushed forward with her shovel, hitting her brother across his face with it. He dropped the ax as she pushed her way against him, forcing Tommy against the wall as Bunny released a pained groan, using all her strength.
"Why won't you fucking die!" She screamed, sobbing.
Even though that was her brother, Bunny wanted him dead so there was no more pain and death in her life. When the shovel penetrated his neck, the blade went all the way through. His head was cut clean off as his head rolled towards the floor including his body. Black blood began pooling around her deceased, monstrous brother.
Looking back, Bunny calmed her panicked heart down and taking in the air from her inhaler once more. She slid it in her pocket and glance over at Cindy, who was on her knees as Alice was bleeding out.
"No! Alice? Alice?"
Tears slipped down Cindy's cheeks as Bunny sank to her knees beside the older berman sibling. Cindy, however, held a firm grip on Alice's shoulders, not wanting to let go.
"Alice, just... Just stay with with me. Alice."
Alice's breathing had stopped, leaving the asthmatic brunette and Ziggy in silence as Cindy sobbed, leaning her head into the crook of Bunny's neck. She hugged her back, glancing down at Alice's dead body. Bunny listened to Cindy's pained crying, but it was quickly covered up by singing coming from the grate below.
You always hurt the ones you loved
Bunny looked up, meeting Ziggy's also concerned face.
"What is that?" Ziggy whispered.
"Ruby Lane," Bunny responded quietly.
Without hesitation, the three females rose from the wooden planks facing Bunny as she told the Berman sisters to stay in the mess hall. However, they didn't listen as Ziggy followed after her including Cindy, making Bunny panic as the singing echoed through the silent room.
There was crunching of bones right when a hand appeared on the floor in the kitchen, exiting the open grate. A face appeared, it belonged to Ruby Lane. A shadyside killer whose incident happened in 1965.
"Run. Run!" Cindy shouted at Bunny and Ziggy.
The three female teens began running, Ziggy stepped back to grab the large shovel, but Tommy's hand snapped at her ankle. Cindy held out her arm and she caught it, pulling her out of his grasp.
The three of them continued running out of the mess hall and towards the hanging tree.
"There it is! Go, go!" Bunny shouted, arriving at the base of the tree.
"Here?"
"Yes!"
Bunny grabbed the shovel, digging up as much soil as possible. The Berman sisters were beside her and opposite of Bunny, watching the tree line. You kept digging until the blade his something hard in the dirt.
"I hit something!"
Ziggy rushed over, dropping the spade and knelt down, digging further. Looking up, the brunette noticed a boy wearing a mask and swinging a baseball bat, inching toward Bunny and the sisters slowly.
"Uh... Cindy?"
She looked at Bunny, looked at the kid and back at you. "Keep digging."
Finally finding what she hit prior, Bunny pulled out a large stone. Dusting the dirt off, trying make out the carved words.
"The witch forever lives,"
"The witch forever lives," Ziggy repeated, looking at her older sister, panicked. "Cindy, what does it mean?"
"I don't know,"
"Where is she? Where's the body?" The other brunette asked.
"I don't know."
Bunny let out a shaky breath, grabbing Ziggy and Cindy's arm, lifting them to their feet. She ordered them to take a nearby car and leave, if there is one -- or hide in the tree above. Cindy didn't want to leave Bunny's side or her sister's. As soon as they faced another direction, Tommy was sprinting forward with his ax in hand. The three females screamed, backing against one another and almost completely frigid from fear.
Billy Barker continued hitting his bat on the ground, Harry Rooker stalked closer with his knife, followed Ruby Lane was flipping her straight razor and Tommy who had his ax ready.
"What do you want, Sarah Fier? You wanted this? You can have it! Just let my girlfriend live! Just let my girlfriend live!" She pleaded as tears filled her eyes.
The shouting didn't seem to work and Cindy dropped it, defeated as she continued holding onto Bunny's hand. Looking into her eyes, Cindy's eyes were saddened but serious.
"You bled on the bone. They are after you. Get ready to run."
"No, you get ready to run." Bunny stated as Cindy picked up the large shovel. "What the fuck are you doing, Cindy?"
"Saving you."
With a warning, the killers surrounded them as Cindy rushed toward Tommy, aiming the shovel towards his head. Bunny screamed as everything felt like it was in slow motion. Tommy gained the upper hand and knocked Cindy out cold with the back of the ax as a thought came to her. The killers go after the one who bled on the bone she guessed, coming up with a plan.
Grabbing the spade shovel, Bunny used it to stab her brother in the chest as he goes down once more but comes back a few seconds later. Not paying attention, Ruby tackles you to the ground straddling her before plunging the straight razor into the left side of Bunny's chest as Ziggy gets attacked by Harry Rooker, and stabbed.
Ziggy was on one side, Cindy in the middle and Bunny on the other. She took another glance at the night sky, seeing it's filled with twinkling stars as dark clouds gathered. A storm was brewing, but Bunny soon becomes distracted when Billy Barker brings his bat down on her leg, snapping the bone as it breaks through skin. It makes weakly groan and scream.
The pain gets worse when the blade hits her again then again, and finally once more time before she begins choking and spitting up blood. It runs down the corner of her mouth as her head then falls slightly to the side.
Thunder rumbles above and lightning flashes in the sky, lighting up the gruesome scene. A tear streams across Bunny's nose before it meets with her blood, running down her other cheek.

Bunny and Ziggy continue sprinted down the few steps with Tommy hot on their trail, trying to think of where to go next. After a few more steps from sprinting, the girls manage to get away long enough and to take a panicked breather.
"Kurt! Will! Anybody!" They shout.
Stopping in their tracks, Bunny looks down at her blood soaked clothes as Ziggy does the same. "You need help."
"No, shit. Wait. Mary's cabin."
"We won't make it, it's too far away. And, Tommy could be anywhere right now, so we need to just find Cindy and leave."
Bunny glanced toward the entrance of the camp, pointing toward the escaping bus. They watched helplessly as the large vehicle exits under the Camp Nightwing sign. Their only chance of surviving left. She thought she may be able to get Ziggy to leave and Bunny stays behind to wait to rescue Cindy and make peace with her possessed brother. But with a large figure barreling towards the two females, they suddenly change their minds.
Tears well up in Bunny's eyes, breathing heavily as her hand clutches her open wound. She and Ziggy's breathing is almost lined up on how panicked they both are.
Bunny manages to pull out her inhaler, puffing the air back into her lungs before running towards the mess hall with the red-head. Piling in, Ziggy stands there, Bunny closes the large door behind them, rushing toward the loudspeaker. She began playing back the song from earlier -- Carry on my Wayward Son as Bunny look Ziggy in the eyes. The music will be loud enough so Tommy doesn't hear where they are at or hiding.
Carry on my Wayward Son There'll be peace when you are done...
"Hide. I'll handle this. He's my brother."
"No, Bunny, no. You can't. You're already injured and losing enough blood."
"Ziggy, please. Go. Hide. Now!"
The red head nodded, bringing Bunny into a tight hug before leaving her alone. Ziggy took off as Bunny thought long and hard before running into the kitchen and opening the drawer of knives from this afternoon. She pulls out a large kitchen knife, eyeing her reflection in the blade before stepping into the nearby supply closet, shutting the door behind her. In the moment, she searched for anything to tie up her gaping stomach wound when a first aid kit catches her attention.
Stepping towards it, Bunny keeps herself aware of her surroundings as she pulled the kit down. She opened it to find gauze and tape. Bunny packs her wound and tapes it off the best she can before sliding the first aid kit somewhere else before grabbing the knife, holding it close to her. Also, Bunny was unaware that Cindy is below the grate in the kitchen, trying to escape the cave. Bunny hides in a crevice of large space, waiting as her breathing is hitched and tears prick at her eyes.
Please don't let me die... She thought to herself.
The only thing in the room with Bunny besides shelves of supplies was an overhead light. It dimly lit the room as she believed it'll be a problem. Reaching for the string, a loud bang causes her to slink into the corner. The ax breaks open the wooden planks that made a barricade. Tommy pretty much broke his way in before his dingy and bloody hand grabs the knob and enters.
The music continues to blast loudly even in the room over. Tommy goes deeper into the storage room as Bunny quietly slips out from the claustrophobia-inducing cabinet with the large blade in her hand. Behind her brother, she continues stepping cautiously as she inches closer to him. Bunny raises the large knife and begin to take another step when the music shuts off, the wooden planks creak beneath her foot.
Tommy whips his head around, but Bunny managed to stab him in the chest before getting smacked and tossed into the shelf beside her. Falling towards the floor, Tommy pulls the knife out from his chest and tosses it before groping his sister's neck once again, slamming her frail body against the shelf. Bunny shrieks multiple times, most of it being in unbearable pain, oblivious of Cindy calling out her name.
His hands are wrapped around Bunny's neck as she struggles beneath him, choking from the impact as pain seeps through her torso. Asthma wasn't the best thing to have during a fight with a killer. Coming back, she grabs his wrists, barely having any time to think as Bunny then reach around her. She managed to use her foot and push him back and use her hands to push Tommy's face away. Bunny's hands slink behind her and onto the shelf and grab a brown potato sack.
She slammed the bag over his face. His grip he has around his sister's neck loosens, stumbling back. Keeping a tight hold on the sack, Bunny gasps for air as she makes him fall to his knees. He rustles around, almost making the frail brunette hit the wall. Standing her ground, she regain her footing, gripping the bag harder as her brother struggles beneath her grip. Bunny managed to overpower him for the time being.
He grunts and groans with each tug. Tears pour from Bunny's eyes before he gains the upper hand, head-butting her in the face. The impact causes Bunny to stumble back and eventually fall toward the ground. In a vulnerable position, she watched as her brother grabs the ax, scraping it on the floor. He rises, turning towards her slowly as the bag outlines his features. With the potato sack over his head, it covers the blood and dirt but makes Tommy more terrifying as he held the ax in front of him, keeping a promising grip on the handle. Bunny crawled away for the second time tonight, trying to avoid the blows with each swing.
Managing to get on her feet, she sprints into the kitchen before his leg trips Bunny, knocking her off her feet. The impact causes her to hit the floor hard. She squints her eyes as the pain takes over her body, however, more intense than before. Struggling to push herself away even further, pleading for Tommy to stop as he lifts his ax before stopping mid-way. Bunny watched in utter horror. Behind him, a knife stabs him as he turns around. Ziggy rushes in, kneeling down and watches the commotion whilst helping her to a seated position.
"Fuck..."
Another stab.
"...You."
Gasping for air, Bunny watch as her brother's body hits the floor before looking up at the person who stabbed him, panting. She sees who it is.
Cindy Berman.
Tears begin to pour from her eyes.
"You swore," Ziggy says.
"It's becoming a habit."
Ziggy chuckles as Cindy drops the knife and kneels down, bringing her younger sister into a hug. They sob into each other's shoulders before they pull away after a few seconds, smiling as she looks over at Bunny. She stared into Cindy's big blue eyes and held her gaze for a few seconds before she brings you into her embrace. The feeling of being in Cindy's arms made Bunny feel safe as tears pour from her eyes, tightening her grip around Cindy's waist.
"You smell like shit," Bunny commented.
"Yeah, well, that's because I'm covered in it."
Sitting in front of Cindy with Ziggy beside Bunny, they look down at Cindy's polo.
"Do you think it'll wash out?" She asks.
"I think you might need to buy a new polo." Ziggy says, fixing the collar.
They chuckle before things get serious.
"I'm so sorry, Ziggy. I'm-- I'm sorry I wasn't here, not just tonight, but everyday."
"No, you were. You just--"
"No, no. I haven't been here. I know that now."
Tears begin to form in Bunny, Ziggy and Cindy's eyes as she sat there and listen to the Berman sisters conversation.
"I know that you just needed me to listen, to hear you. I thought if I just put my head down and followed the rules, everything would be fine." She continued. "That I'd get out of shadyside, but... but now I know you were right. Everything is cursed."
"I could have been nicer. I could have been less of a... of a monster."
"Yeah, well... you were my monster. And at the end of the day, Mom, Dad... Shadyside, Sunnyvale, I.."
She cups Ziggy's face. "I won't let anything pull us apart."
After the tearful reunion, Cindy's eyes dart toward the bandage on Bunny's abdomen, thigh and hand, examining them and looking her in the eyes then at Ziggy. She pulled her hand away, not wanting to explain what happened, but she did so anyway.
"I got a shard of glass in my hand from escaping my brother after you and Alice got trapped in the cave, and pulled it out and bandaged it so I wouldn't bleed out. And in the Nature and Science cabin, Tommy dragged me across the table and threw me to the floor where again, I got stabbed twice by more shards. I ripped my custom hoodie and made a handmade tourniquet, and packaged the wound on my abdomen."
"Jesus. Thank God, you're okay."
"Me too," Bunny responded. "I'm just glad that the first aid class taught me how to survive in harsh conditions."
Distant banging caused the three females to turn their heads toward the open grate. Bunny furrowed her brows as Cindy gives her and Ziggy a look before sneaking towards the grate and peering over it. Alice appears suddenly as Cindy and Bunny helps her out, rising to her feet. Alice looks toward Bunny, motioning her to tell Cindy how she felt. Bunny decided on confessing her feelings to Cindy, being sincere incase she and her die tonight. If either of them don't make it, at least Bunny was able to tell Cindy that she's been in love with her since the beginning of high school.
"Cindy,"
The female hummed tiredly, glancing at Bunny. "Hmm?"
"There's, uh, there's something I've been needing to tell you. Well, something I've been holding back since our freshman year of high school."
"What is it?" She asks.
"Remember when you started dating my brother, beginning of senior year?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, he talked about you all the time. Times where it would get frustrating, but I enjoyed listening because I... I developed a crush on you. And I know, I had that fling with Nick Goode and that resulted in me getting pregnant. But when you spent the night with me at the hospital, after I gave birth and helped me with Angelica, I realized something... I was in love--"
Without hesitation, Cindy cupped Bunny's face before bringing their lips together. They stayed there for a few seconds before pulling apart, holding each other's gaze. She and Cindy felt as if they were the only two people in the room at the moment, but it subsides.
"I've felt the same way. Taking care of Angelica made me want to be with you forever, to help raise her. You're the person I've loved for many years as well. I'm done hiding my true feelings. Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, Cindy. Yes!"
Bunny wraps her arms around Cindy's neck, pecking her lips once again as the other brunette folds her arms around her waist gently before Alice clears her throat, slightly annoyed.
"I hate to break up this sweet moment between the two of you, but there's other things we should be worried about."
The two brunettes pull back before bringing Alice in a hug as well.
"Careful, okay?"
Cindy pulls back, furrowing her brows at the blonde.
"This thing's like a million years old."
"I bought that a month ago."
"I'm not talking about your stupid bag, genius. 'Blood will.' Satan's stone, okay? It was right there. All this time, buried under the moss, and I found it. I fucking found it."
"Found what?" Cindy asks, her brows furrowed.

Getting back to camp, the sun has already went behind the mountains as bulbs of light shine in the distance, but are hard to see due to the large pine trees. Bunny stop in her tracks and bring her hand in front of her. A shard of glass sticks out in her palm as she stumbles toward Mary's cabin, barging in and grabbing the needed supplies before Bunny begins pulling the shard from her hand.
Bunny's body shakes while she released a pained scream, depositing the shard on a nearby table before heaving. With crimson exuding from her palm and a wave of fatigue hitting as well. Bunny manages to pull herself together and wrap the wound before wiping the sweat and tears away. Walking towards the door, Bunny closed it behind her, continuing her search for Ziggy and Caroline. Color War was also afloat, so she had an even bigger problem considering there were even more targets. Quickly inhaling from her inhaler, she ran anywhere so Bunny's not trapped in one place.
Feeling a brush of someone's hand, Bunny glances behind her and startled seeing Caroline. Somehow she managed to calm herself down, straightening her stance, breathing heavily.
"Jesus, you scared the shit out of me."
"I'm sorry," Caroline giggles. "Where have you been? I've looking all over for you."
"I was in Mary's cabin with Cindy and my brother, searching for anything that made the nurse "crazy". Then, Alice and Arnie took off with the pills we found, and we uncovered a cave after someone else was down there. And Tommy... h-he had no remorse, bludgeoning Arnie in the face, leaving a gruesome scene. Finally, I got seperated from Cindy and Alice due to a cave-in."
"Holy shit, that's a little..."
"Crazy? Yeah, but it happened, and there is a killer after us. It's Tommy. My brother"
A laugh escapes from Caroline. "Come on, that's bullshit. You keep planning that gore-filled book of yours, and I will get back to supervising the Color War. And, please don't waste anymore of my time."
Caroline takes off, leaving you alone, trying to calm herself down before running away. Suddenly a scream catches Bunny off guard, following the noise as giggles follow. She approached the outhouse, watching as Nick and Ziggy spirit towards another cabin; The Nature and Science cabin, following after them. Bunny felt relieved that there wasn't another murder, unaware that she spoke to soon.
Approaching a door, Bunny goes to open it but since the wood is locked in place, she stays standing on the steps glancing through the window. You watch as Nick Goode and Ziggy Berman stand in front of each other, their faces inching closer. Soon enough, Bunny sees Nick planting his lips on Ziggy's right when a scream echoes in the distance.
Bunny spoke too soon.
The scream breaks her attention as Bunny stalked down the stairs. Exiting, Nick and Ziggy rush toward the noise as they run into her. The three teens greet each other before quickly running towards the scene. A boy lays still. His arm lays off to the side as a pool of blood surrounds the body. In the puddle of crimson, a shattered pair of glasses sit untouched. Drops of blood decorated the lenses. With frantic shouts and a small crowd forming, Gary manages to hold the other campers back while Ziggy, Bunny and Nick get a good look at the crime scene.
Panic ensues on the red-head's face. The three teens run off terrified. Bunny, Nick and Gary round the campers up as they get pushed into the mess hall.
"Five... seven... eight... ten... fifthteen... eighteen-" Bunny counts.
She gets cut off as the light shut off. Many kids scream in fear. Ziggy looks around, panicked as Nick stands toward the main double doors.
"Stay calm! Everything's alright."
"How many?" Gary asked.
"Twenty-three." Bunny replied, attempting to stay calm.
"That's thirty missing at least."
Nick rushes toward the telephone that hands on the wall. Below a table sits with a radio and microphone. The rock has obviously fallen off the button as everything remains untouched. Nick pulls the phone of the receiver, putting it up to his ear.
"Where's Cindy, Kurt, Joan?"
"I don't know. I haven't seen them."
For a few seconds, Bunny had hope that Nick would call someone only to find out that the phone is dead. Ziggy panics about warning people and begins talking about her sister as Nick tries to reassure her. Bunny watches only standing a few inches away from the two.
"Ziggy, Amelia, stay here. Me and Gary will go."
"What?" Gary asks, scared.
Nick then steps up to the table, Gary following behind him. The Sunnyvaler picks up two flashlights, handing one to the other counselor before exiting the cabin as Ziggy then gets taunted by Sheila's minions.
"Where is she, witch?" Becky asks.
"You kill her like you killed Jeremy?" Annie interrogates.
"What are you talking about?"
"Sheila!"
"Where the fuck is Sheila?"
Ziggy curses before sprinting out the mess hall as the doors close behind the female. Bunny decides to follow after her, shutting the door her, running off. She manages to catch up to Ziggy as Bunny stops the red-head.
"Ziggy, stop!" Bunny shouts.
"I can't. We need to go find Sheila. Me and Nick locked her in the outhouse for taunting me."
Bunny giggles before becoming serious again, concerned about her and Ziggy's safety. "What? Ziggy, that could be another strike for you."
"No one's gonna give me a strike when a fucking killer is running around."
Ziggy grabbed Bunny's hand, dragging her toward the outhouse which is locked due to a screwdriver sitting in the lock. A twig snaps, causing the anxiety to rise even more. They enter as Bunny shuts the door behind the two of you, stepping around various types of bugs including a tarantula. The sight of it makes her skin crawl, like it's on her. Unexpectedly, Sheila emerges from a stall and behind Ziggy.
"You bitch!" She shouts, lunging toward the other female.
They struggle for a while before Sheila throws Ziggy against the wall. Ziggy tries to help Sheila by explaining that there's a killer when the Sunnyvaler throws a punch, as the red-head ducks. Bunny threw her fist as it collides with Sheila's face, knocking her out cold as she falls into one of the nearby stalls. Bunny curses under her breath from the pain in her knuckles.
Gary emerges, starting the two females as Ziggy gasps.
"Is everyone okay?" He asks.
"No! Ev-everyone's headed back to the Mess Hall. I just... Where's Nick?"
Ziggy pauses, trying to find the words when muffled screaming causes her to look at Bunny then at Gary as his brows furrow. The muffled shouting continues as Ziggy steps into one of the stalls, opening the lid and peering down. Behind her, Bunny and Gary watch as the shouting gets louder.
"Cindy?" Ziggy asks, surprised.
A spark of happiness shoots through Bunny's body as Ziggy was focused on getting out alive. The brunette enter the stall, gently pushing the other female to the side so Bunny can see what's happening.
"Oh, my God! You're still alive!" Cindy shouts.
"Yes, I am. I'm so relieved to see your face again. Is there another way out?"
"You're poking your head through our way out." Alice commented.
Ziggy comes back. "What are you doing down there?"
Cindy and Alice glance at each other before peering back at Ziggy and Bunny.
"It's... It's kinda of a long story. Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, just hold on a second."
Ziggy rises to her feet as Bunny stays in her spot, smiling at the dirty brunette wishing she could give Cindy a hug... and a kiss, but that clears out when Ziggy tells her to move. Ziggy can step on the toilet as she reaches the bucket, lowering it to her.
"What is going on?" Gary asks.
"My sister's in the toilet."
"What?"
"Gary, just help us!" You shout.
The two counselors and one camper manage to get the bucket down as Ziggy lowers the rope, further and further down the chute as the bucket sits level with the two females. Gary stands behind Bunny as she and him hold the rope, soon Ziggy joins. In the cavern, Alice sits on the metal bucket as they begin pulling the rope. With enthusiastic laughs and pained grunting as well as tugs, the rope creaks under them right when the door abruptly swings wide open.
Standing there, Tommy enters the outhouse with a large ax in hand before swinging the tool towards Gary, decapitating him in the process. It automatically drug him along since the rope was being tied around his upper arm. Bunny and Ziggy didn't have time to reach as they both watch as the rest of Gary's bloody and headless body flies past, and down the toilet.
Since the swing was strong, it makes both Ziggy and Bunny fall to the ground as Tommy draws the ax before bringing it down. The blade lands between the two females as screams fill the outhouse. Ziggy gets up, pulling the brunette along with her, exiting the small outhouse as Tommy stands in the doorway. Below, Cindy continuously shouts for Bunny and her sister, worried Tommy might've killed them.
Bunny keeps up with Ziggy as she lets go of her hand, both gasping when they run into Nick again as he asks them what they are doing.
"He's here,"
In the process, Ziggy can't muster the right words before Nick pushes the brunette and redhead toward the Nature and Science cabin. The Sunnyvaler closes the door behind Bunny, locking it as Ziggy slides to floor on her knees. Bunny join her before Nick approaches the two of you as he makes eye contact with the two females.
"Did we lose him?" Bunny asks.
"I think so. Are you guys okay? You hurt?" He asks.
Bunny and Nick look down at Ziggy's top then hers. "It's not our blood."
"It's Gary's." Bunny added. "And yours?"
"Um... Sean, Jesse, Rod, Stacey."
"Jesus. It's the curse."
Nick then cups Ziggy's face as Bunny felt no emotion towards the act since she was in love with Cindy. Bunny did have history with Nick Goode and didn't know how to initially feel, considering she was very much in love with him at the before and after you found out you were pregnant. In the moment, she had to this time to calm down and think.
Bunny thought about Caroline... Cindy... and her daughter. Mostly her daughter because she didn't want her to be raised by her asshole family. She sighed at the thought as tears begin to form in her eyes, wanting to hug her precious baby and getting the hell out of Camp Nightwing.
Bunny comes back to reality when she felt Ziggy's hand rest on her bare thigh. "Are you okay?"
"Y- Yeah,"
Nick continues. "It's, uh, it's just some psycho."
"No, no, it's not some psycho. It's my brother Tommy. Ziggy's sister's boyfriend perfect, virgin, boring boyfriend. She did this."
"Cindy?"
"The witch!"
"That's not real, Bunny."
"That's exactly what a Sunnyvaler would say. I thought you were different." Ziggy commented.
"I know I've let a lot of people die tonight."
"Nick, this isn't your fault."
"Not you! I'm not letting either of you die." Nick sweet talks Ziggy, earning her trust. "Now, come on, we gotta get out of here. We'll call the cops. Your sister's gonna be alright. First, we gotta get on that bus."
Bunny rises to her knees, peeking over the table with Nick and Ziggy when a sudden frantic banging erupts on the door. They continue watching the entrance when suddenly a fist -- Tommy's fist -- breaks through the glass window before his hand rests on the door knob, turning it before entering.
With a slight creak of the door, the three teenagers duck down as they stay very quiet, swiftly moving beneath the tables, trying to stay out of her brother's sight. Heavy breathing gets closer and a snake hisses in its habitat. Bunny sneaks behind a table that is further away right when glass breaks from the impact of the ax, causing her to shut her eyes tight.
Bunny is currently seated beside Ziggy, who holds onto Nick's hand. She glances over at a yellow-brown snake which begins to skulk towards them as Bunny's eyes grow wide, panicked but stay calm. The brunette gently grab Ziggy's knee to gain her attention of the snake slithering towards them. With footsteps and a snake approaching, the snakes on the girls' bare legs -- the air around them was tense and quiet.
They exchange eye contact with one another before a hand abruptly grips Bunny's hair, pulling her up as she frantically shrieks. Tommy slams her body on the table, dragging her across causing many habitats, items and papers to scatter on the floor. She heaves, groaning from the impact, looking up at her brother with tears forming in her eyes. His hands wrap around her neck, grip becoming tighter by the second.
"T-Tommy, it's--it's me. Please," Bunny begs as his grip slowly loosens, making her to the floor. She groans in pain, coughing before looking down.
Another glass shard has impaled Bunny stomach and thigh, sticking out as she squirms from the pain. Tears form in her eyes before gaining the strength to get away, pulling the large shards out. She crawls away as her brother raises the ax before bringing it down as Nick pushes Bunny further away. The ax penetrates the back of his leg while she tears the sleeve off her hoodie and wraps one around her leg, making a homemade tourniquet. Grunting in pain, the sweat coats Bunny's forehead as beads drip down her face, mixing in with her tears. Nick, who is bleeding profusely, shouts for Bunny and Ziggy to leave.
"Run. Aaah! Run!" He shouts.
And that's what they do, exiting the Nature and Science cabin and leave as she hold her side. Bunny's bloodied hand grabs Ziggy's, lacing their fingers together. Bleeding out, she continues.

Bunny and the couple made way through the dense woods that surrounded Camp Nightwing. She held a flashlight in front of you, following behind was Cindy and Tommy.
“Alice!” Cindy shouted. “Come on, it’s disgusting in here!”
“We’re close, Berman, hang in there!”
They kept onward, being determined to get their things back from Alice — more like Cindy was determined while Bunny was there for two reasons. Bunny wanted to get away from the camp in case Nick Goode tried interrogating her on their baby, asking when will be a good time to talk like adults, and to be around Cindy.
“Alice!” Cindy shouted again before a thine caught on her polo, ripping the material.
“Shit! Oh, it’s ruined now!”
Bunny helped Cindy get free from the thorn as she felt her warm breath on her neck and began blushing, heating up.
“You cursed again,” Tommy stated, almost shocked.
“You want me to murder you?”
Tommy shut his eyes, holding a hand to his forehead.
“Tommy, are you okay?” Bunny asked, worried.
“Yeah,” He replied. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Pushing forward, Bunny pointed the flashlight in that direction and moved further into the woods. Suddenly, they all hear Alice scream. Cindy turned, grabbing her wrist harshly without realizing, and dragging her boyfriend's sister along. The three of them make it to Alice who is climbing out of the newly dug grave, dusting dried dirt off her knees.
“Watch your step.” Alice said, wincing at the bright torch.
Tommy and Cindy stepped toward the hole, looking over it. Bunny saw the book laying next to it.
“Is someone digging a grave?” Tommy asked.
“Graves,” Alice pluralized, shining the flashlight on a bunch of other holes.
They all look at Tommy as he mumbled. “Mary.”
Alice squinted at him, confused. Bunny watched her brother stumble towards the book, picking it up.
“The X’s, look.” He showed them the map, again, pointing at the markings. “She was marking where she dug.”
Alice thought for a few seconds before turning the page to some writing.
“‘But without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm and the curse will last until body and hand unite.' ”
Chills were forming down Bunny's neck and back as she felt a hand intertwine with hers. It was slow, but it felt good. Cindy swallowed, leaning her head on her shoulder.
“Are you tired?” Bunny ask in a low tone.
Nodding, Cindy stood closer as Bunny's heart fluttered as she brought her inhaler out, taking in a few breaths before stuffing the piece of plastic in her pocket.
“Maybe Mary was looking for the hand,” Tommy said, coming to the conclusion in his head. “To end the curse?”
“That made her daughter lose her mind.” Alice finished, nodding.
“Guys, come on. This is silly.”
“Yeah,” Arnie spoke. “I gotta piss.”
They all grimaced except for Alice.
“I really did not need to know that.” Bunny murmured.
“Let me see that,”
Tommy began to pass the book over to Alice but Cindy let go of her hand quickly once again, stepping toward them and grabbing it swiftly.
“You can have it, but first give me the drugs,” Cindy demanded. “If nurse Lane took them and went crazy then those drugs are very dangerous.”
Alice laughed. “Oh, my God. What happened to you?”
She stepped closer to Cindy, a centimeter of space was between their faces. Bunny felt something rise in her chest, once again not knowing if its anger or jealousy like earlier.
“You remember when we used to have fun?” She asked.
“Alice, that’s enough.” Cindy demanded once again.
Soon Arnie comes back. “I found it!”
The three teens, including Bunny, all look up from their respective places, all walking toward the male to see what he found. “I found the witch’s house.”
Alice and Arnie rushed over, laughing whilst Bunny and Cindy and Tommy walked slower. Again, she had the flashlight in her hand, unsure of what was found. An entrance was bright to light as it was likely from a house that used in the 1600s as Cindy stood beside Bunny.
“Was I the only one expecting, like, I dunno, a house made out of candy?” Alice laughed.
“Maybe there’s candy down there,” Arnie said, glancing down another entrance,
This one was different, it seemed to go underground. The couple began playing around, scaring each other which made Bunny glanced at Tommy and Cindy. Nearly falling into another dug grave, she made a pass, standing behind Arnie and Alice. Speaking of Alice, she was crouched in front of the entrance. The light shined below as Bunny felt creeped out.
“Hey, Sarah, you got any candy down there? We’re high and hungry.”
She paused.
“Sarah Fier!”
“Okay, we've seen enough.”
“Alright then, go home, Berman.”
Looking over at her brother, he seemed to be going in and out of consciousness as it made Bunny frown.
“Tommy, you okay?”
“Yeah, she must’ve gotten me pretty good.”
Bunny sent an uneasy smile towards Tommy, turning back to Alice and Arnie, who jumped down the hole, making their way inside. Cindy followed behind as well as Tommy and his sister. Bunny made her way down the steps and into the dark and dingy cave.
“Hey, someone’s been down here!” Alice shouted, looking at the nib of the candle.
“Like recently.”
Bunny began to sweat from the nerves of being down there, staying on the steps as the three teens investigated further in the cave, eventually it brought her down there too.
Walking through an archway, Bunny saw what looked like a sacrifice room. On the floor was the witch’s mark, remembering it from earlier in Mary’s book. What looked like black fluid flowing through the engraving, making her wrinkle her nose. Alice and Arnie began messing around on one end of the cave as Bunny continued holding the flashlight as it’s now been turned off.
“It’s kinky.”
“It’s the witch’s mark,” Cindy announces,
Alice leaned away from her boyfriend, turning to Cindy with a confused look.
“The what?” She asked.
Cindy opened the book, showing a replica of the engraving on the floor.
“‘A deal was made with the devil. Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan’s stone in exchange for eternal life, scarring the soil beneath with the witch’s mark, bringing darkness upon the land.’ ”
“That’s it!” Arnie shouted.
Everyone looked at him in utter confusion.
“It’s acetaminophen.”
“Arnie, what are you talking about?”
“L484. It just hit me. It’s fucking Tylenol. It’s nothing.”
“Are you sure?”
Bunny began to come to the conclusion that it wasn’t drugs that made Mary act the way she did and that made her worry. The thought of Sarah Fier's curse came to mind, not wanting to accept the idea of her brother being cursed. Although deep down, something else that was more sinister came to mind as it made Bunny want to puke. She shook her head and came back to reality.
“Positive. Come on, Alice. Let’s get out of here. Pretty sure Joan might still have some weed if we pay her.”
Arnie ducked under the archway as Bunny did the same, standing by the entrance to the woods, eyeing as Arnie approached your brother. He said something before smacking him on the shoulder. Right when Alice and Cindy exit, Tommy stands, walking toward the side of the cavern and pulling an ax off the wall. Arnie turned around from the entrance of the tunnel as he smiled, thinking it was a joke.
“What the hell are you doing, man? Tommy…”
Bunny observed as the tall male lifted the ax off the wall and swung it into Arnie’s face. She was frozen in her tracks, however, Tommy didn’t stop. He sent another blow to Arnie’s already deceased body. Bunny witnessed the horror as her brother turned into a monster.
Eventually, he turned towards Cindy, Bunny and Alice as she shinned her flashlight on him. Her hand shook before he started trudging toward the three females. Bunny screamed before being pushed back by Cindy, rushing into the room they were in prior — through the archway and past the sacrifice room. Panic filled Bunny as she had to think fast. She grabbed a relic off one of the shelves and threw it at him, furrowing her brows at hurting her own brother. She took this opportunity to escape. Bunny manges to get past Tommy, and stand under the archway, surveying as Cindy and Alice flee for their lives.
“There!” Bunny heard Cindy shout.
Bunny felt like an asshole leaving Cindy and Alice behind, afraid they would die. But you had to get back to camp to notify counselors that there's a killer on the loose. She soon heard a loud rumble as an avalanche of rocks fall from above. The cavern shook with all its might, causing her to panic. Once when the large rocks settle in place, she hears heavy breathing as she steps closer to the male. He rises and stands in front of Bunny, raising his ax high before plunging it down. Luckily she managed to escape, but panicked. She screamed in fear.
Bunny held onto the flashlight trying to turn it on when it slips from her grip, breaking on the steps below her. She curse under her breath, feeling overwhelmed.
Tommy had no emotion toward his upset sister as she began to shake, pulling herself up the stone-like steps. Bunny's hand hits the broken shard, stabbing into her delicate skin as the pain rises. You are in a great amount of pain, but push past it. Running past the tables full of previously lit candles and 16th century decorations. Bunny exited the cavern and sprint through the woods, and hid in a bush and a large pine tree. In the distance, a male is seen approaching the woods as the glimmer of a large ax sits in his hands. From what she could see, Tommy's expression is emotionless, almost like there wasn't anything left.
Tears welled up in Bunny's eyes, knowing that Cindy was likely dead and Ziggy was running around camp unaware that a killer is on the loose. Once Tommy is nowhere to be seen, Bunny carefully goes back to the place she was earlier, over to the caved-in rocks as she looked back, grabbing something to protect yourself. She turned back to the large rocks, sighing and praying that she can interact with Cindy somehow. Bunny had little hope, tears now rolling down her cheeks.
"C-Cindy, are you there? Can you hear me?" Bunny asks, waiting for a response.
No one returns Bunny's call as she speak once again, this time louder. Beginning to turn away, she faintly heard Cindy's voice. It's panicked but stern, almost delicate too. She speaks but it's too muffled to understand what she's saying.
"Cindy, Alice, if you guys can hear me, I'll save you. I promise. I can't lose you. Please, stay alive as long as you can. I— I— nevermind. I'll be back!"
From what Bunny could make out was sobbing from the other side, getting a positive thought that Cindy and Alice are still alive. Bunny let go of the relic in her hand and carefully but quickly made her way back to Camp Nightwing, panicked as she needed to find Ziggy and Caroline and get them to safety.
"Just my fucking luck. A fucking killer is on the loose, and it's my own goddamn brother."

Cindy looked at Joan, who was sprinkling weed into paper.
“Maybe she was on something.” She suggests.
Joan rolled her eyes. “Drugs are peaceful, not violent.”
Bunny glanced at Gary as he and you tried to stifle a laugh.
“I’m not talking about marijuana.” Cindy said firmly.
Bunny watched as Gary laughed with Joan which caused her to snicker.
“Just admit you’re jealous that the witch wanted your hubby all to herself!” Gary joked, pulling Tommy into a headlock and ruffling his hair. Joan laughed.
Tommy pushed him off, not finding any of this funny. “Be serious, man. W-why would nurse Mary wanna do something like that? Why would she want me dead?”
She looked into her brother's eyes and saw confusion.
“Oh, no. She wouldn’t.” Gary shook his head.
“But the witch might!” Gary and Joan cursed, laughing together as Tommy leaned forward.
“Hey, they’re just playing around,” Cindy comforts.
“Don’t listen to them.” Bunny reassures.
Tommy leaned further forward, completely serious.
“Did you see her eyes? There was something in there, something wrong.”
Both Bunny and Cindy had serious expressions plastered on their faces before startling when suddenly Kurt clapped loudly from the front of the mess hall. He snaps the teens out of their stupor and looks toward the front.
“Alright!” He shouted. Sunnyvaler’s cheered. “Chicks, dicks, listen up! We had a scary situation, but we cannot let that mess with the most important night of our summer. Tonight is Sunnyvale versus Shadyside. It is red versus blue. It is good versus evil. Tonight, we commencicate color war!”
“It’s commence, my god.” Gary groaned.
Bunny rolled her eyes. the blonde Sunnyvaler was being over dramatic as well as being a huge dick. Sunnyvaler’s cheered as Shadyside groaned. Joan licked her joint to roll it up.
“He might be dumb, but he’s kinda shagadelic.”
Bunny looked back up and see him cheering himself on. Gary turned to joan.
“He’s disgusting. You’re disgusting.”
Kurt began talking as Bunny groaned, not wanting to hear more bullshit from him.
“Tonight’s first event is capture the Flag, baby.” He lifted up a red flag that belonged to Sunnyvale. “Yeah, yeah, yeah! Now, Sunnyvalers… We have never, ever… lost a Color War! So let’s not let tonight be a stain on our legacy.”
He pointed at the Shadyside flag, but she ignored him as the brunette sighed in annoyance.
“And let’s go out there like our ancestors before us and murder those Shadyside witches!”
Looking over at Tommy, Bunny saw that he began sweating profusely and bowed his head down from the constant cheering. Joan got up and walked toward the front, being the spokesperson for Shadyside
“Uh, hi!” She giggled. “Thank you, Kurt, for that neat-o speech. Now, Shadysiders, let’s get out there and do our best because—”
Again, Bunny stopped listening from there, noticing that Cindy was gone asTommy didn’t seem to notice. Her brother looked as if he was about to puke. Bunny got up from the bench too, following after the older Berman sister.
Bunny stepped out the mess hall, walking the camp grounds as she wondered where Cindy went. That was until you overheard her talking as you watched Ziggy and Cindy in the Arts and Crafts cabin. Bunny knew that eavesdropping was bad and something she shouldn't do, Bunny did it anyway as her stomach churned.
“...Not in the mood,” Ziggy replied, hitting the top off a paint can.
The older Berman sister ignored her and carried on speaking.
“Earlier, you said Mary was upset.”
The red-head scoffed, turning around and faced her sister.
“Oh, so now you care!”
“Ziggy, this is serious.”
“It was serious earlier, and you didn’t give a shit.”
Bunny continued watched as Ziggy grabbed the paint can, walking toward the cabin entrance. She didn’t want to be seen, so she hid behind the treeline, being able to hear them from afar. Cindy walked after her younger sister.
“Come on, you were the last person to see her before she snapped.”
The sisters walked further along the camp path as Cindy struggled to catch up with Ziggy’s wide steps.
“What about drugs? Did you see any around?”
Ziggy rolled her eyes. "She's a nurse, so yup."
"Well, did she mention anything or--"
"Nope,"
"Ziggy, I'm just... I'm trying to understand what happened today."
"Who cares? It's over."
"Not for Tommy. He's still freaked out and acting weird and... Bunny doesn't seem okay from what happened. Also, it's just a big joke to everyone. 'Mary was possessed by the witch'."
"Maybe it was the witch," Ziggy shrugged.
“Ziggy...”
"What? That doesn't fit your carefully constructed bullshit view of the world?"
"Why are you being like this?" Cindy asked.
"I dunno. Maybe because apart from Bunny, Nurse Lane was the only person who was nice to me, and now her life is over because bad things always happen to Shadysiders."
"Nothing just happens. There's always a reason."
The two sisters reached Ziggy's cabin, both of them stopping outside.
"Not always a rational one," Ziggy responded. "Deep down, you feel it, don't you? Shadyside, there's something here. It's just holding us down, cursing us."
"Ziggy, that's enough," Cindy said, not amused.
“You’re too scared to admit it. When things go bad, you wanna explain it away.”
“I’m sorry. I’m not going to blame everything on some fairy tale. Life sucks sometimes. I get that. I mean, God knows it's been hard since…”
Bunny saw Cindy’s eyes fill with tears. She wanted to rush out and comfort her. However, if she stepped out, the Berman sisters will know that she was listening in on their conversation, so Bunny stayed as the urge got worse.
“Since what?” Ziggy tried antagonizing her older sister. “See, you can’t even say it! Since Dad left! Since Mom started drinking. Since we’re going to lose the house. And it’s not gonna magically get better. And saving up all summer to buy a super cute polo shirt can’t hide that either. Trying to explain why nice old Nurse Lane almost lost it today can’t either.”
Ziggy took a step towards Cindy.
“We’re all cursed. For Mary, it was today. But someday, it’ll be you. And this whole fake bullshit life of yours, it’s gonna come crashing down.”
“That’s a horrible thing to say.”
“It’s not horrible if it’s true.”
There was silence between the two siblings as Cindy tried working out what she wanted to say, not wanting to cry in front of Ziggy.
“I don’t know who you are anymore, but… but you’re not my sister.”
Ziggy didn’t seem to be fazed. “Then who am I?”
“A monster.”
Ziggy smiled sadly, walking back towards her cabin, opening the door and putting the paint cans inside. Cindy walked forward to see the inside of the cabin. Bunny stepped closer, seeing partially inside as the cabin was vandalized likely by Sheila.
“That’s what they say.”
Ziggy then forcefully shut the door in Cindy’s face.
Stepping up to the Berman sister, Bunny ended up startling Cindy as she apologized. Bunny looked the saddened brunette in the eyes.
“What’s going on?” Bunny questioned, acting as if she weren't eavesdropping.
“Nothing. Just sibling issues.” Cindy said, putting on a smile. “Anyway, we need to find Tommy.”
“Why? What are we doing?”
“Sneaking into Nurse Lane’s cabin. We need to see why she tried to kill Tommy.”
“Okay.”
“Get what you need, and meet us outside her cabin in ten minutes!” She shouted, ushering away.
Later, Bunny saw as Color War was beginning soon, wishing she were out monitoring campers instead of snooping in Mary's cabin but at least she gets to be with her crush. Slipping out of her cabin, Bunny held onto a grey hoodie that had the name Shadyside High School printed on the sleeve. Bunny made it herself for spirit week last school year as it holds a special place in her heart. Currently, she jogs toward Nurse Lane's cabin, seeing Tommy and Cindy. Bunny greeted them.
“Let’s go.”
Cindy unlocked the cabin as her, Tommy and Bunny stepped inside. A lamp was on, generating a source of light to search around in.
“What exactly are we looking for?” Tommy asked.
Cindy passed him the keys, turning her back to him.
“Answers.”
“It doesn’t matter, alright?” Tommy tried to convince her, but knew she was stubborn.
“It matters. There’s a reason Mary did what she did and said what she said. We’re going to figure it out now.”
Both Tommy and his sister sighed, only his was pained and fatigued.
“Come on, Cindy. Please, I...”
Cindy ignored him, looking in Mary’s office. She huffed, annoyed. She rummaged through the drawers until she pulled a bottle of pills from the desk. She chuckled, bringing them into the light.
“No label, half-empty. Like I said, she was on drugs.”
Tommy looked at his girlfriend as well as Bunny.
“Get these to the cops, then they’ll tell us what they….”
Cindy paused as Tommy picked a book up from the desk. A symbol stood out on the page. ‘Witches Mark’ it said.
“What is that?”
“‘A deal was made with the devil. Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan’s stone in exchange for eternal life, scattering the soil beneath with the witch’s mark, bringing darkness upon the land.’ ” Tommy read from the book.
Bunny saw an unimpressed expression on Cindy’s face. She looked like she was about to say something when glass broke in the other room, located in the back of Nurse Lane’s cabin. Cindy gasped, grabbing her hand and squeezed it. The three teens made way out of Mary's office, Tommy first, followed by his sister as Bunny pulled Cindy closer.
“Did you hear that?” Tommy asked.
Both females nodded as he went further, book still in hand. Bunny followed him, leaving Cindy behind as she’s hesitant but stuck with her, holding hands. The three of them emerged into the main room with the medical beds, looking around.
“Hello?” Tommy asked. “Hello, is somebody here?”
Abruptly, Alice jumped from behind the door, screaming as it made Tommy jump back. It also startled Bunny as well which is something she doesn't do so easily. Soon the three calmed down when Bunny realized it was Alice and Arnie. Alice laughed, nearly falling over herself.
“That’s not funny.” Tommy complained.
Cindy walked forward, letting go of Bunny's hand once again.
“Alice? What are you doing here?”
She scoffed.
“Looks like we’re both here for the same thing.”
Alice pointed at Cindy’s hand, pointing out the drug capsule.
“Must really want me to scrub those toilets.”
Cindy put the bottle in her shoulder bag.
“This isn’t for you.”
Alice glared at you then at Cindy.
“Wait, Berman, I didn’t know you were into that sort of thing.” Arnie smiled, pointing to the drugs, bringing everyone’s attention back to them.
“They’re not for me.” Cindy glared. “I’m giving them to the cops.”
“Oh yeah, the cops. Yeah, right, of course. No, what are you talking about? What, now you’re gonna snitch on Mary, too? Bunny, are you joining the snitch team as well?”
“Can you… can you not, please?” Bunny said, swallowing the lump in her throat.
Arnie lunged for the book in Tommy’s hand, lifting it up so he couldn’t reach.
“This for the cops too?”
“Give that back!”
“Come on, don’t be a dick.”
Arnie threw it to Alice as she caught the book, opening it and began reading.
“‘She emerged from the meeting house, one hand severed, lost forever. We hanged the witch, body chained and buried but without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm.’ Ooh. This is Sarah Fier shit!”
“Alice, come on.” Crindy pleaded.
“‘When she is near, blood will fall and the curse will last until body and hand unite.’”
“Alice, it’s Mary’s diary. Let’s put it back.”
Alice flipped through the book as Bunny sat next to the sweaty male, checking to see if he’s okay. He nodded, but you knew he needed medical help since you were very worried he might have a concussion from today's events. However, you look back at Alice, Cindy and Arnie.
“It’s not just a diary. It’s a map.”
Alice turned it over, showing a map of the camp, but it had markings all over it.
“What?”
“Crazy Nurse Lane made a crazy map.”
Alice walked toward Tommy and Bunny and placed the opened book on the bed. She knelt down next to Cindy, opposite Alice with Arnie standing at the end.
“It’s camp, but looks like she drew all over it,” Alice announced, pointing out one part of it to Cindy and Bunny. “1666 Union.”
“Union, that’s Shadyside.” She began.
“What?”
“The settlement before it was divided into Shadyside and Sunnyvale.” The other brunette finishes.
“Really?”
“If you went to class.” Cindy comments.
Tommy spoke. “So, the camp is built in the same place as the settlement?”
Arnie loomed over the end of the bed, pointing at the map.
“Woah, look! Sarah Fier.”
The name Sarah Fier was written in the corner of the map, but all around it was covered in exes.
“Do you think that’s her house?”
“What are the exes?”
“There’s only one way to find out.”
Alice got up quickly, picking up the book and Cindy’s purse.
“Hey, that’s my bag!”
The blonde ignored her, ordering her boyfriend to grab a flashlight as they rushed out of the cabin. Bunny began following them as Cindy was close behind, but Tommy walked out slower.
“Alice! Bring that back! What are you doing?” Cindy yelled.
“Come on, Alice. Give it back!” Bunny shouted, hoping she'd listen.
“It’s called fun, Cindy Berman and Bunny. You both used to have it, remember?” Alice spoke, rushing toward the woods, holding Cindy’s bag. “We’re gonna find you, Sarah Fier!”
Bunny and Cindy glanced at each other, wondering if they should follow the couple. Tommy walked out finally, holding his head in his hands. He was pale and sweating profusely once again.
“Tommy?” His sister questioned.
“Tommy!” Cindy yelled harshly.
He shook his head, looking at the brunettes.
Tommy put on his plaid jacket and ran off after Alice and Arnie. Bunny stood there, rigid but was brought back to reality when Cindy groped her hand.
“Come on. They took everything!”
Cindy, Bunny and Tommy ran after the mischievous couple.
