The last scab fell off today.

Aside from watching out for undissolved bits of stitching like the worst ingrown hairs possible, I think I'm all healed up. There's no more hard spots or swelling.

I am so goddamn happy.

I've gone from a DDDD cup to a C/D (that is to say, and old bra I dug out of my cosplay stuff is a C and fits, but the soft "post surgery" bra I've been wearing is a D)

they're so small y'all. like I know other people go "those are still pretty big!" but they're small to me.

I saw the picture the surgeon took before the surgery and just. wow, no wonder I hated my body so much. they hung down nearly to my belly button when unsupported. they changed the shape of my torso because they pushed body fat around beneath them. I hadn't really realized any of this until I was comparing now to then.

the reduction was the best thing I've done in a very long time :)

the thing all sherlock holmes adaptations get wrong is making the guy an irredeemable asshole who treats everyone like shit . not only is it not reflective of the original stories they miss that “nice, smart, well mannered dude who snorts coke when he needs to think” is possibly the funniest character ever devised

My surgery was five days ago.

I

feel

like I just had several pounds of flesh removed from my chest, there's a compression bra holding the remaining pieces in place, and I need to hold an ice pack in place because I am bruised to hell and back. also I have a god awful weather related headache.

but outside that, I'm feeling pretty good.

I keep grabbing my booba in amazement. there's no sag. there's no weight. the compression bra almost makes me look flat. they're swollen because they're still healing, but I'm a full 10cm smaller around already.

as nervous as I was, as terrified as I was, I am so glad I did this.

my surgery is in just over 12 hours, and I might be too terrified to sleep.

all I wanted to do was take the wallpaper off the basement walls.

it was pasted directly onto bare, unfinished drywall. it took two weeks to scrape it all off. there was a section of drywall that was only held in place by that wallpaper. the only section of drywall that had been mudded was mudded with concrete. the drywall in the laundry room touched the concrete floors and had soaked up spilled water over the years.

I replaced seven 4ft x 8ft sections of drywall.

there was an entire section of wall in the basement that was not secured to the floor. there are sections I worry aren't properly secured, but there was at least an attempt; this one only had a single nail holding it to the basement joist.

I did not touch the wiring outside of changing the outlets. So far the electricians I've had in haven't found anything wrong safety-wise with the wiring, but I have gotten "that's a weird way to run that cable" a few times.

there are. so many other things I have discovered that make me want to cry. my neighbours have informed me that the nearly 90 year old woman who previously owned the house refused to hire professional help, and would not even accept help from friends or family.

Who wired my fucking house. Give me a fucking name. I just wanna talk
