Happy Resbang 2024! Normal for the Spider is a sequel to my entry for Resbang 2022, Chaos for the Fly. SO, we've got some DOHEDORO AU on the menu!

Had a blast digging deep and trying to match the mature tone of this Resbang. The second one is a bonus I did just in case.

Heaven on Hold 🪽

aka the "Reach Heaven Through Violence" project

Resbang posting day! Yippee! My entry for this year is a prequel to one of my existing fics, the only heaven i'll be sent to, and I'm so excited to present it to you all today! With the theme for this year's event being "No Rest for the Wicked", I couldn't resist the opportunity to revisit my Angel Maka/Demon Soul AU and BOY HOWDY was it fun to further dive into this universe! The fic clocks in at a little under 60k words in length and I could have easily gone on for another sixty thousand had time allowed it.

This year I was triple blessed with three fantastic artists! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to @thiefofblood @worldismyne and @moriohpissky for choosing my story and bringing it to life with such beautiful art - it was such a pleasure working with you all and I'm so thrilled with everything we created!

Summary: Banished from Heaven and severed from the only home she's ever known, fallen angel Maka spends her days in exile alone, haunted by her mistakes and hunting the sinful streets of Las Vegas, hellbent on exterminating enough demons to earn back her wings. When she meets Soul, an unsuspecting demon who takes a liking to her in a nightclub, she thinks she's hit the jackpot - her ninety-ninth demon soul, her golden ticket back to divinity, her key to leaving the mortal realm behind for good and restoring her place among the angels once and for all. However, when her attempt on his life goes awry and she accidentally binds his soul to hers, instead of a one-way trip back to Heaven, she finds herself stuck on Earth indefinitely with a demonic roommate and his equally demonic cat.  And, worst of all, she has no idea how to undo the binding spell, since she doesn't even know how she cast it in the first place. I'm so grateful to have been able to participate in another Resbang this year as a writer. I'm very fond of this story as it's kind of a love letter to my college experience.

Theatre Kids (Resbang 2024)

And here's my art (collabed with the nefarious @alcruid) for the Resbang fic Theatre Kids! Really fun how this came together even if I may have been not well enough to do more for it, but hey, super excited to post Alc's absolutely insane colorwork, hahaha (to be fair, I was told to go buckwild too, hah).

RESBANG 2024:

Such a fun fic and such a throwback for me! I clocked this fic immediately because both me and Addie are huuge theatre kids, and the fic did not disappoint. So many relatable scenes and I got to reminisce about my time as an actor and organiser at the theatre (let's pretend the last time wasn't less than a month ago lmao).
