Sorry for disappearing for like a week I found out Wolfquest Saga was out and it took over my life.

It’s been a long time since I tried to really draw wolves but regardless I needed to do something with this fixation. Ari’s yearling sons Bard and Hanes dispersed and she wasn’t salty about it at all…

(Bard found a mate and immediately turned around and attacked us so maybe she was right to be salty though)

I have three little cousins (13, 7, 5, and 4) who live next door to where we stay when we're in Texas. Everyday they show up at our door asking to go on a side-by-side ride up to the creek. Like clockwork we get up to the creek and the 7 year old goes "Whoops. I forgot my shoes. Guess you'll have to carry me around." and I feign shock. It's not a big thing, but it always makes me smile.

There are good things left in the world

Today I went grocery shopping, and I got enough food to make meals for a few weeks, particularly ones I can freeze for even longer than that, because I will be here to eat them.

Today a guy at the dairy section of the grocery store turned to me and said "is half and half cream? I want to put some cream in my oatmeal, but I've never bought cream before." I said I didn't know, and we looked it up on my phone together. It turns out, it's half cream, half milk. He was very happy about this.

Today at the grocery store, I rounded a corner into an aisle and an older lady had to play dodgecarts with me. We both smiled and apologized for the confusion. After I had grabbed what I needed from the aisle, I realized I forgot something in the previous aisle, and when I rounded the corner, there she was again! We laughed and said "Hello again!" like friends.

Today I cleaned the roach bin and Bug "helped" me by eating some of them. She screamed with delight. So did Eris when I brought her a few as well, later. Bug sat on my legs for an hour afterwards and preened.

Today I put in some work on my peafowl genetics site, and I'm proud of how it's coming along. I only have a few pages left!

Her name would have been Turtlekit, and her warrior name would have been Turtledove

There would also have been plenty of other kits for her to play with, and eventually plenty of young Tom’s for her to choose from whenever she feels so inclined to take a mate, unlike her life in Shadowclan which was mostly full of old fogeys.

the beginning was kinda boring bc idgaf about war but the last bit of hotd was CRAZYYYYY. what if revealing the big truth that’s been hanging over the show and presumably had the capacity to stop all of the horrible seemingly inevitable events in their tracks was revealed in the quiet of a room where two girls who were once best friends but now hold the fate of the world in their hands are alone for the first time since they were children and it doesn’t do anything. it doesn’t even matter and it will all go on exactly as it would anyways. except for the fact that they were together once again and will always know that they tried and failed and that what they once had isn’t enough to stop anything and that it will always always be too late
