An idea born of nostalgia

One day, I was lying on the couch, just daydreaming about different things. And then I had this idea of how cool it would be to play a CPR game with my favorite girls from Touhou. Obviously, it would have to feature all the key characters, including Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, Koishi, Satori, Remilia, Flan, Patchouli, Cirno, Tenshi, Yomu, and others.

And for this game to be retro-style with pixelated graphics, and even better if the game window looked like an old GameBoy. Imagine a vertical window with the console logo at the top, the game screen in the middle, and the D-pad and A and B buttons at the bottom.

I think this would give the player a very unusual gaming experience. Doing CPR on your favourites Touhou girls on a game console from the past that never actually existed, while immersing the player in an atmosphere of pseudo-nostalgia.

As a big fan of 90's retro games, I would love to play a game like this anytime!

But ofcourse, this is just my fantasy, and this game doesn't exists.

But.... Even if such a game did exist, it would have very simple and unimpressive graphics, so it wouldn't interest anyone anyway.

CPR fans are waiting for games with the beautiful HD graphics and a realistic model of the heroine, and not graphics from the early 2000s.

So maybe it's for the best that this game only exists in my imagination.

[WIP] Drowned Tenshi game Remaster

(2nd update)

As you can see, this is the second update in which I changed perhaps the most important detail, without which no CPR game can do.

Of course, we are talking about the new defibrillator!

I originally wanted to draw an AED on her, but later decided to keep the ECG and the classic defib as it was in the original game.

The defib color has changed from lilac to red, and I think it looks much cooler and more contrasting on the yellow sand! The defib body itself I took from my other work, and honestly it doesn't really fit here.

It would look cool for an AED, but not for a defibrillator with irons that simply have nowhere to attach when folded. But don't forget that the game is still a WIP, so as a temporary option it's quite a great solution.

And, of course, the defib animation itself looks much more realistic. I also added a smoother injection animation that uses 3 frames instead of 2.

Speedpaint CPR: Sanae, Cirno, Miku

Speed drawing (or speedpaint) is a challenge for an artist to create a drawing in the least amount of time possible. I also want to take part in this challenge and draw anime CPR as fast as I can.

3. Miku drowning rescue

This time, she is rescued by two beach laifgards. One gives her an intense heart massage, the other presses on her abdomen, trying to remove as much water as possible from her stomach and lungs.

The drawing quality here is below average, but that doesn't matter in general. This is a speedrun, the speed is important here, not the quality.

What is RBR means?

Hey everyone!

As you might have noticed, there's a mysterious square with "RBR-A" in the bottom-right corner of the NSFW disclaimer screen in my ResusBox games. Ever wondered what it means or why it's even there? Let's clear that up!

ResusBox Rating (RBR) is a rating system specifically for ResusBox games. However, if an author chooses, it can also be used for independent resuscitation-themed games.

The RBR system has 5 levels of age restrictions, which will be set for each specific ResusBox game depending on its content. Let's dive into these levels:

🟢 RBR-E (Everyone 7+) This is for maximum safe content, with absolutely no hints of adult themes whatsoever! These are simple arcade games where the goal is simply to save the heroine and move on to the next level. No revealing clothing (except for swimsuits on a beach level, but they must look as modest as possible). No depiction of severe injuries or blood is allowed.

🟢 RBR-T (Teen 12+) This is also safe content, but with fewer restrictions compared to the "E" level. Here, a wider choice of clothing is allowed, including shorter skirts and cleavage, but still in subdued tones and within the bounds of decency. Romantic scenes between the Protagonist and the girls can be added, but again, very carefully, with no hints of adult themes. Depictions of injuries and blood are allowed, but they must be stylized and, ideally, unrealistic, without a clear emphasis on such scenes.

🟡 RBR-S (Sensitive 16+) This is already more explicit content, including fan service elements, revealing outfits, romantic scenes with hints of adult themes, kissing, hugging, etc. The resuscitation process might appear slightly sexualized. Depictions of more realistic heroine injuries are allowed. However, such content must still remain within SFW (Safe For Work) boundaries.

🔴 RBR-A (Adults only 18+) This is full-fledged adult content, including explicit sexualization of resuscitation, nudity, sexual scenes, etc.

🔴 RBR-AG (Adults gore) This restriction is set for games containing extremely violent scenes that may cause repulsion in many players!

I strongly urge all developers to label their ResusBox games with an RBR rating according to your game's content. If your game has an S, A, or AG rating, you must include a disclaimer at the beginning of the game!

[WIP] Drowned Tenshi game Remaster

The original Drowned Tenshi game was released in the summer of 2023 along with ResusBox 0.4.x.

It was a very primitive game with hideous graphics that was simply impossible to look at! But I really like the idea of the game itself, and Tenshi is one of my favorite waifu, so I decided to make a remaster.

Here I applied my new drawing skills, including a new sea background, smoother animations and minimal light-shadow effects.

Yes, the result is still simple and far from perfect, but it's clearly superior of the original version!

And yes, this game is still in WIP status, but you can already appreciate the relatively successful result. I plan to tweak Tenshi's body a bit more, and I'll probably add some new levels besides the beach.

Interesting fact (or maybe not)

By the way, if anyone is interested, besides ResusBox I'm working on another independent project, and by the way I have spent more than 2 years on it.

It's a game about CPR of girls, as we all love, in which there are 14 heroines and more than 40 different levels, including scenarios of heart attack on the street, drowning in the pool and in the sea.

But it's unlikely to be of interest to anyone….. because, the graphics in this game are quite primitive. So yes, the graphics are very cheap and primitive, and that's putting it mildly!

None of you would want to play a game with bad graphics even though there are a lot of popular characters and 40+ levels, right?

Yeah, that's what I think too, I'm sure of it.

P.S: It's unlikely that anyone will read this addendum, considering that a week has passed since this post, or even more? I don't even remember anymore.

So, in this most terrible game there are many Touhou girls. A lot of them. And this is quite understandable, considering my tastes and love for the Touhou Project.

But... whatever. No one needs this game anyway and it will never be released.
