A gloomy AU in which Kovu was filled with sincere hatred for Simba and was determined to eliminate him.

Since childhood, Kovu was raised with the single thought that he was the last chance for his family to leave the impoverished lands of the termite mounds. Their pride invested all its resources in Kovu, at the same time putting a huge burden of responsibility for their fate on him. When Zira went missing, Nuka eventually resigned himself to his role as the "not chosen one" and continued his mother's work, placing all hopes for a better life on his younger brother, sacrificing your share of food for him. However, the older Kovu got, the worse things got and the hunger in the pride worsened. Due to constant malnutrition, Nuka began to get very sick and only occasionally he had the strength to get up, and one day he simply did not wake up. This was the last straw in the bowl of Kovu's hatred of the people of Prideland on the way to becoming a new Scar.
