The Church of the Christhawk

The Church of the Christhawk is a loose organization of roughly one dozen people working together to further understand God, the Universe, and ourselves. Yes, it's a cult!

The three main tenets of the church are as follows:

1. The actions of God are less important than the actions of humanity. Believing in the faith is less important than being a good and kind person.

2.The will of God is to spread a message of love. Respect and love yourself, each other, and all the creatures of the Earth, except Mormons. Choosing to love Mormons is not forbidden, but it is not required.

3. The will of God is to not interfere with another's life. A Flyer may not interfere in the life of another person in any non-consensual manner. Respect the choices of others that do not interfere with your life or the lives of others.

We also believe that using psychoactive substances may help an individual to hear and see the message of God, the Christhawk. Along those lines, we believe that reality is subjective. Every human observes reality a little differently and all good-faith, informed observations of the world are true at the same time. Mormons and Nazis specifically aren't informed observers, so they specifically don't count.

While the church believes, at face value, that all life is important and sacred, I personally believe that maintaining the sanctity of life requires the removal of oppressors.

Are We Free Yet

Every once in a while a trans friend group will have a token cis straight guy. Those dudes are almost always extremely cool, compassionate people who have something profoundly wrong with them.

Some things I want to mention about the Church of the Christ Hawk that set us aside from some of the more popular churches in the world.

First (and likely the biggest one) we believe that Hell was probably made up by someone to scare kids. The concept of an all-powerful and all-knowing God creating mankind, knowing that they would sin, giving them the opportunity to sin, and then building a Big Bad Hole™ to put the ones that sin into is wild. That can't be right. None of that is right.

Second, we believe that God came as a second messenger to the Earth, in the form of a hawk, in the common year 2021, revealing themselves as the Christ Hawk to Thomas Stambaugh, the Hawkmaster of our church. This is the staple of our core belief, but some churches are coming around to accept the idea. Almost definitely.

The beauty of nature and of the universe is not influenced as directly by the Lord as your modern Christian wants to believe that it is. All of existence is a divine accident and we should strive to live our lives as such.

Greetings to all of Tumblr! I am Tyler, Knighthawk of the Church of the Christhawk, and I come to spread the Message.

The Church of the Christ Hawk began when our founder and spiritual leader, Thomas Stambaugh, experienced a vision of God in the form of a great Hawk while traveling the deserts of Earth and partaking of natural hallucinogens, as is the way. The Christ Hawk spoke to Thomas, and dubbed him a prophet with the title of Hawkmaster. Hawkmaster Stambaugh has since begun spreading the Message of doing good deeds, loving ourselves and our fellow humans (except maybe Mormons), staying out of other people's business, and using mind-altering substances to get closer to God.
