Was thinking last night about how padme’s wedding dress might have looked if her wedding to anakin had been a public affair, with all the pomp and circumstance of the naboo aristocracy.

@stagbeetleboy’s excellent observations about naboo fashion and insect motifs inspired me to look at pictures of moths to get inspired for these sketches. I’m not sure how much it comes through in the final designs, but it was a valuable part of the process nonetheless

TL4J in the ot would probably go down pretty differently from the normal ot. Namely, Ahsoka would probably figure out that Luke and Leia are siblings and that they're Anakin and Padmé's kids in, like, 0.5 seconds. And it's fairly likely she'd spill the whole “your dad is Darth Vader” thing pretty quickly, unlike Obi-Wan “from a certain point of view I'm not a huge liar” Kenobi!

in tpm there's this scene where padmé listens to a message about the situation on naboo but can only express her fears in third person ("the queen is worried. her people are suffering") and then distracts herself by talking to anakin about his separation from his mother and it's just. wahh. two children far from home, trying to help each other be brave about their uncertain futures

I think shmi would be empathetic towards anakin and we shouldn't impose our morals on her

if people could accept that anidala was 1) actually a secret relationship and 2) that 'it was actually allowed but anakin was too dumb to notice' is a dumb take, that would be nice

this picture of jake lloyd is so impossibly cute that every time i see it i feel such a strong wave of protective fondness for him as an actor, but also for anakin too, like for him to have been basically the same size as artoo when they met, no wonder he treats him like a friend.

Can you imagine if jedi used force push in every day situations but like. slowed down? Mace Windu gets tired of senators giving him a migraine and just starts slowly sliding their feet across the floor away from him. They keep trying to walk up to him with complaints but it’s like they’re going backwards on an escalator
