These next few weeks we will see some major changes at our Ferry Rd project. All the windows and doors are installed, minus the three massive rear windows. We are opting to install those once our new deck framing is installed. Having a stable surface to stand on while we lift them into place will be a lot safer for the crew and for the windows. The rough opening width is 105 3/4”. Progress // Our Ferry Rd project is fully underway. With framing complete; it’s time to move into phase 2. This past week we saw two skylights installed. We won’t receive our windows and doors for a few more weeks, but in the meantime we will have the hvac, plumbing and electrical trades are performing their initial rough-in scope. I would title this one “If you fail to plan, plan to fail.” This week; We dodged a grinder accident, found huge mistakes made by architects, and engineers, who both blamed each other. I made a mistake with a footing location and I’m sure a few other things went wrong...but we still crossed off an incredible amount of line items. Moved the ball forward in big ways. The Revivalists were ready for this week. Everyone stepped up with solutions to our endless challenges, especially @revivalcraftworks who has been given an “in-house” honorary engineering degree. You medal is in the mail.
