The Gates are Opening!

Attention! This is an important message straight from the Toon Council, so I'll make it short and to the point! The gates of ToonTown are opening tonight at 5:00pm ToonTown time (8pm EST) and toons are being welcomed back into the game! That's right folks, beta begins tonight!

Also! If Rewritten Rumors has a beta key to give out in the next week it will go (randomly) to one of the gracious toons that likes or re-blogs this post. Good luck!

Conspiracy Corner - "Intercepted" Talk

Hello again. It's been a couple of days since we last spoke, but I wanted to allow you access to some important files collected by the agency. Since its release to the public, the memo addressed to "Whom it May Concern" has brought about quite a bit of talk. The residents of ToonTown have been making several theories lately and this file is a compilation of those theories. Keep in mind none of the accounts found in this file are proven. Most, if not all, are pure speculation. With that in mind, why don't you have a look...

Full Examination

To whom it may concern: (And yes, that means you, Doctor.) This first sentence basically implies that the majority of this is directed at Doctor Surlee and is important to him. Shall we say who we are? I don't think we even know who we are. Fair point! Continue. This part proves that the posters are not the Cogs, nor the Toons. At this point, cogs have been given a name and must know who they are. Obviously, toons know who they are. You may be - and have been - interested in the contents of this little memo. They say "and have been interested". How long has Surlee known about this Memo? Is it possible that he knew about it in the past?  We would have given it to you directly, but you seem to have picked up on the ripple effect you caused and locked yourself away from it. Ripple effect? Is that referring to a ripple or 'distortion' in time? I believe so, and the ripple effect he caused is the speeding up of time. Field offices and Cog Buildings are already here, unlike in TTO. Also, Surlee seems to know about his 'ripple effect'. Why would he react to the coming of Field Offices and Buildings unless he had known about them in an alternate timeline, that is to us known as TTO. Are we not part of the effect, though? I suppose we are. Of course the cogs would be a part of this effect, as would toons. How would 'The Fates' be a part of the ripple effect? By ensuring that the cogs come to fruition, and ensuring that fate is not altered.  So by running away, it seems he has simply created another ripple. These people clearly have knowledge of time, and time distortions which I believe is evidence to my theory. Who else would have knowledge of time travel?  Now, this next part I believe is the best evidence of both theories to date.  Interesting. How do you think that will play out? The same way it always does. Show him the memo "The same way it always does" In other words, this has happened before. In-fact on numerous occasions. These entities have great knowledge of timelines, and it seems in every timeline the exact same thing has happened. The Memo only tells a couple of things. A: The chairman exists and is currently active. B: Things are speeding up in this timeline. Cog Buildings and Field Offices are coming soon. The ideas you "inspired" into the toons, Doctor, are not giving them as big of a head start as you would wish. You are merely speeding up what has already begun. How would the doctor know how to combat the cogs unless he had come from an alternate timeline? This also proves that things are speeding up due to the doctors 'ideas'.  We do hope that you know what you have gotten all of us into - and frankly, I'm sure that you do. Surlee must have knowledge of what is going to happen. We'll see you next month. Something is going to happen next month. Perhaps we will have figured out who we are by then, though I wouldn't count on it. Why do they not know who they are? Maybe they just don't have a name for themselves... Time is ticking, after all. This last sentence is important, as is time.

I don't have much time so we'll have to make this quick. We've intercepted a conversation of crucial importance. It contains a memo from these recently discovered... "Cogs". I can't tell you much about who is speaking because.. well.. I really don't know myself. Our equipment wasn't picking up much. I could hardly tell what was being said, let alone who was speaking. I think you'll realize the gravity of this information after giving it a once-over.

As you can see, this information is very sensitive and very curious. We're gathering more details but this puzzle is still very much incomplete. I'll speculate in my next correspondence.

Rewritten Rumors

Hey.. you there. Yes, YOU!

You're a toon right? One of those odd residents of ToonTown? Hmm... Yes... Okay, I'll take your word for it.

Well, let me cut to the chase. I'm a member of a top secret and I mean HUSH HUSH.. Sorry, that was probably a bit loud. I mean hush hush intelligence organization. I can't give you the name. I can't even really give you my name, but what I can tell you is that there are some BIG things going on in ToonTown right now. And when I say big, I mean really really big.

The Toon Council has sealed the gates of ToonTown in a frenzy. You've probably heard whispers of invasions, missing toons, or even time travelers. Let me assure you they aren't rumors. Every last thing you've heard is true and I'm going to prove it to you. Toons aren't safe and I need you to get the message out. You and I are partners now.

The Tooniverse needs to know what exactly is going on in ToonTown!
