Week 12:The Role of Government and Various Sectors as a Helping Hand to Start-ups
Various government agencies provide assistance to those who are just starting out with their businesses or start-ups. The government will assist those enterprises in getting started. The government has a role to play in aiding or promoting small businesses so that they get public recognition. Entrepreneurs must advertise their businesses, but they may go undetected owing to a lack of support. However, if they seek government aid, their businesses may develop and become well-known.
Because to government promotion and aid, many people who launched small businesses in the past have become well-known in the public eye. As a small business owner, we should learn to trust and believe that our company can thrive with government aid.

WEEK 11: The Lean Start-up and MVP
The lecture series starts with an overview of Eric Ries' book, which covers lean startup principles. A start-up can also be considered as an experiment, according to the speaker, because we are testing our idea in the same manner that experiments are.
The book by Eric Ries has a central philosophy. The three essential concepts are to understand the problem, make recommendations, and then design a product. To comprehend the product, the entrepreneur must first comprehend the primary issue, after which he or she must connect with his or her customer to learn what they require and what they seek in a remedy. Following the surveys, the recommendation is to seek a solution that is tailored to the needs of the consumer, and then to manufacture a product. The Build-Measure-Learn Feedback loop, which follows the steps or basic idea of the Lean Startup, could be used as a basis for improving the product, as these strategies aim to improve it continuously.
The MVP is also discussed by the speaker (Minimum Viable Product). This is used to see if the product can compete with other products on the market. MVP explains the actions that a business owner must take to ensure that his or her product stands out. The entrepreneur should first learn about his product and identify a long-term goal before mapping out the users, creating a pain-and-gain map, and deciding which features to deploy.
In this lecture series, we learnt how to build a product that adheres to Eric Ries' Lean startup concept. These techniques will aid the entrepreneur in determining which aspects of the strategy should be included. The entrepreneur must connect or communicate with the customers in order for a product to be successful.

Week 10: Doing things that Don't Scale up
The lecture series started with an introduction to DoorDash, a delivery service. Their efforts demonstrate their desire to support small enterprises in becoming successful. It's a trait that every business owner should possess.
The three lessons we can learn from the DoorDash business were presented in the lecture series. The first is the hypothesis test. It means you'll have to do some tests to see if your theory is correct. This will assist in determining what areas need to be improved. Second, you should launch quickly. This entails starting a little business, testing it, and then improving what needs to be improved. Finally, do things that don't scale; this will help you get your business off the ground and scale up after demand has been established.

Week 9: Entrepreneurship through Technology Serving as Social Cause
One of the main themes of this week's discussion is the relationship between entrepreneurship and society. It began by introducing various organizations or charitable activities that aid communities in resolving local issues. The lecture series concentrated on how the product will help society and how a start-up differs from a traditional business. In today's society, entrepreneurship and technology are two topics that are regularly discussed. Entrepreneurs have invented a flood of new items to assist people in their daily lives as technology develops. Technology has found its way into the business world. Technology has aided in the growth of society as the world changes.
In addition, technology improves processes, reaches new populations, makes services more accessible, connects people, expands solutions, collects and secures data, and develops organizational competence. Starting a business is analogous to creating something that will meet a certain need while also allowing the producer to learn.

WEEK 8: Pitching and Fund Raising
If the business grows and expands, the Team may need to seek outside capital or investors. That's where the company will proceed to a pitching session, where the team will gather some people interested in investing in the product or concept that the team has. Pitching can assist in introducing the commodity to large corporations or suppliers, as well as demonstrating its benefits to society.
Pitching can help introduce a product to large organizations or suppliers, as well as demonstrate its societal benefits. Pitching demands the establishment of a solid and cooperative team in order to have a good presentation that may persuade investors. A company's development or expansion requires funding, but getting investors to fund a business is tough.

WEEK 7: Leveraging Technopreneurship using Digital Tools in this Global Pandemic
The term "technopreneur" refers to someone who disrupts the established economic order by bringing new products and services, forming new organizational structures, and utilizing new raw materials. It is someone who sees a business opportunity and forms a company to explore it. The video lecture primarily focused on how modern technology benefited the world during the Pandemic.
Technology has enabled new concepts to be presented that are fit for the digital age. As the Speaker indicated, in this Pandemic, digital is the way to go. It was also discussed how digital technology may help a company communicate with its target audience. To make things easier and more manageable for consumers and employees, digital tools are crucial, especially for growing start-ups and enterprises.

WEEK 5 : Boot camp and the Business Model Canvas
One of the highlights of the boot camp was the students' presentations of their business plans. The presenters or instructors spoke about the things an entrepreneur should think about when starting a company, such as creating a BMC (Business Model Canvas). The Business Model Canvas is a model that summarizes the company's data in a straightforward manner. This will aid students in the analysis of their business and target market. Making a Business Model Canvas is challenging because it requires a great deal of thinking.
Students then present their BMC to their teachers to see if anything needs to be changed, and students present their suggestions after the meeting. As a student, I realized that the BMC needed to come up with more unique ideas in order for the business or startup to succeed.

WEEK 4 : Intellectual Property Rights
As a business owner, we should be aware of our rights in relation to the product or concept we created, particularly when it comes to intellectual property rights. Individuals are given intellectual property rights in exchange for their mental works. They usually give the author exclusive rights to use his or her art for a fixed period of time. We may be able to discourage anyone from using our product or ideas in this manner. As a result, the developers would be able to benefit from his description of concepts.
There are four types of intellectual property rights, each of which has a different function depending on what the author has achieved with his or her concept. The importance of picking one of the four is that it guarantees the idea's protection. According to Trevor Brewer, IPR includes trade secrets, patents, copyright, and trademarks. Copyrights cover original works as well, and the author has the legal right to sue if his or her work is plagiarized. Finally, there's the trademark, which is used to clearly distinguish one product from another. Trademarks are used to distinguish a product.

WEEK 3 : How to talk to users
When starting your own company, you should think about talking to customers. According to Sir Mabulay, one of the most critical aspects of starting a business is speaking with customers. The founders' job is to extract information from users by communicating with them and connecting them directly. There are several steps to communicating with your users.
First, there's the concept stage, during which you'll talk to your customer before launching your company. The founder will be forced to come up with solutions to their problems during this time. Second, during the prototype stage, you'll choose the best first customer. Customers will put the product to the test at this stage to see if it solves their problems. Finally, there's the Launched phase, which indicates that the project has begun.

WEEK 2 : Team Formation and Opportunity Recognition
I was able to learn some main steps in developing your own product, specifically a software like the one developed by Samsan Tech in K drama, after watching Sir Mabulay's and Ma'am Rhea's lectures on identifying opportunities and forming teams.
The Start-up (Kdrama) isn't just about watching a film, as Ma'am Rhea put it; it's also about learning how to form a team that will help the group's or team's ideas. We already know that a hacker, hustler, hipster, and finally the CEO or Team leader are needed to form a team, as we learned in previous lessons. Ma'am Rhea demonstrated her point by using characters from the aforementioned Kdrama. She also mentioned that the CEO's role with the team is to set a vision, raise funds, recruit, and manage, but that this isn't the only factor to consider when putting together a team. First and foremost, he or she should look for co-founders. Second, avoid hiring while you're still getting started. Third, recruit the most qualified individuals you can. Fourth, if you've recruited the right applicants, you'll be able to keep them on board. After forming your own team, you can focus on what you want to make and how to develop a successful product.
It is fair to believe that the retail world would behave differently than the corporate world. Finally, you should have a single target in mind: to provide value to your customers. Then you should consider the fundamental projects and determine what your target customers want. You'll be able to move on to the steps for generating PR ideas once you've completed this process. You should identify the market's pain points and create or design a product to fix them. Since you are an entrepreneur, you can test some business models that would work for your product.

Self Assessment
I was surprised by the result I gathered as I completed the assessment related to my management skill. It actually helped me in understanding more about myself and as to how I would manage myself, where I excel and where should I focus more. I was able to acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses at the same time. Trusting a person is actually a very hard thing to do especially if you happen to experience being betrayed by the people you trust and that itself is one of my weaknesses and I also have my strengths, I am more open-minded rather than judging people based on their situation and I like to pay attention in everything and I notice facts and remember the details that are important to me.
In this task, it's actually a challenge for me but at the same time I am happy for this opportunity. It may help me in dealing with other people, it would help me learn to trust others than myself because that is what team is all about. My role in this task as a hacker actually helps me to have more self confidence on sharing my ideas and also appreciating the trust my members would gave me.
To become successful, you need to overcome your strength and weaknesses. Let those be your inspiration in doing the best of your abilities and to never let those be a hinder to your dreams.
