what she means: the lyric “i can’t say anything to your face, ‘cause look at your face” gets a lot of hate because taylor is rhyming ‘face’ with ‘face’, and people think that lyric is lazy songwriting but it’s actually pretty clever. the reason she uses ‘face’ a second time is because she literally can’t say anything to his face. she can’t think of anything clever or witty to say, so she repeats what she already says. basically, because he’s so gorgeous, she can’t even think straight and it turns her into a complete mess.
