How’s it hanging dude-sicles? Well, I’m doing pretty great. My TED talk is going to be grate (there are going to be a lot more puns throughout this). Anyways that is, for the most part, what I’ve been doing passion project wise. I did make a crab dish because I got bored and it ended up being pretty amazing. I know I said I wouldn’t make anymore food but people always say seas the day, crabby diem. Ill put the recipe in this post just to show you guys. 16 (3/4-ounce) slices sourdough bread
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon lemon zest
3 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, divided
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces lump crabmeat,
drained and picked2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
32 (1/4-inch-thick) Roma tomato slices
4 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated (about 1 cup)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preheat broiler. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet, and broil 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until lightly golden and toasted.Whisk together mayonnaise, lemon zest, 3 tablespoons dill, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a small mixing bowl. Combine crab, onion, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium mixing bowl. Add 2 tablespoons mayonnaise mixture to bowl; stir to combine.Spread remaining mayonnaise mixture evenly over toasts. Divide crab mixture evenly over toasts; top evenly with tomato slices and cheese. Broil 3 minutes or until cheese melts. Sprinkle with black pepper and remaining 1/2 tablespoon dill. Serve immediately.
Catch you homeslices on the other side.

So I've been getting ready for the Ted talk and I think I'm super prepared. I've been working on the speech for awhile now, not gonna lie there are a lot of food puns in there but I’ll probably take those out. On the other side I'm done with my recipe book if I don't add anymore recipes but I knowing myself Ill probably make something up just for fun. So I put all the recipe so no one big Google document an I made an index in the back for all the ingredients and the health benefits of those specific foods with details of how it grows and in what conditions.

Who really is Ted?
What’s happening my peeps? I’ve been working on my TED talk this week, personally I think its has been going pretty well but that’s highly debatable. I just need to work on not laughing when I speak because that has always been a really big problem for me. That and randomly messing up really easy words to say, what can I say? Sometimes I just can’t talk like an actual human being. Anyways, on the food front I haven’t added any random recipes but I am probably going to put taco recipes in there because they are the culinary cornerstone of my life. The picture of the pan fried noodles I made a couple weeks ago is going to be below though. Street tacos though not american tacos because america screwed tacos up. They are always better homemade. Also I’ve been watching Mind of a Chef on Netflix, one of my favorite shows, and its given me a lot of information on how the scientific side of food and where the food comes from and how it gets there. It’s quite fascinating.

Just Kidding
What's cracking homies? Ok, I know I said I had all my recipes but I made up a ton over this week because I was bored. So I made up this thing called dragon noodles(at least that's what I'm calling it) it's basically spicy noodles with lime and red curry paste. So that's pretty exciting also this red curry coconut soup noodle contraption. I'm very into Asian food if you couldn't already guess but it's good food and always full of vegetables, so you always get your folic acid intake. Any ways I got most of my recipes in a google doc and I'll occasionally add a few recipes because they'll be delicious and I make up random stuff my head. I also made pan fired noodles again which was delicious but I also put a ton of sriracha(yes. It is spelled like that, I looked it up.) in it. See you on flip side homeslices.

Chef or Nah?
What's up homeskillets? This project is going pretty well now that have almost all my recipes, so now I just have to put everything together in a document or a slideshow or something like that so it is a semi-realistic cookbook. Also I need to look at all the ingredients and out a little dictionary in the back of the ingredients and all the health benefits that come from them. So that's what I'm going to be doing this week. Then taking decent pictures of all the food is a big part of it too and making it look decent is really hard especially since I'm really bad at taking pictures. So recently I have been looking into a career in the food world but I'm not really sure how to pursue it so I guess that'll be the second part of my passion project. Figuring out how to become a chef of sorts.

Health Kick(s and Giggles)
What's up my homeslices?! So I'm pretty happy this week since my project is going on pretty smashingly. My lasagna was awesome and I made vegetarian one just for kicks and giggles too and that turned out even more delicious than the first one. I really like vegetables, I'm just weird that way. So anyways this week I'm on a bigger health kick than my normal healthy self. I'm looking into what athletes eat since I need to get into shape again for swim. Basically lots and lots of protein and little sweets. So I'm find alternatives, I suppose you would say, for what you could consider sweet tasting but is actually a lot healthier than it tastes. The key is real food, I know I've said this but it's very true. All those foods that come in boxes and nonsense like that are packed with chemical and preservatives that just make you feel gross and fat. I don't know about you but I don't like feeling gross and fat. Specifically I have cultivated a recipe in my head that would basically freeze some bananas and blend them into an ice cream like shape and then you could add whatever you would like to make it taste better, I was thinking like peanut butter and/or dark chocolate chips. Stay golden homies.

Passion Project ft. Garfield
I'm not entirely sure what week it is, so that explains the title. So my project so far has been absolutely smashing. I know I talked about chicken patê a couple weeks ago but I made it again the other day and it's really good, it has been my midnight snack for the past week. So the other day someone asked me, what makes certain foods bad you? Well in my opinion most things that come in a box probably aren't that great for you, especially those frozen meal things. They have all sorts of preservatives and chemicals in them. But it's okay to have anything once in a while, the key is moderation. I know I'm basically the human version of Garfield because I love lasagna a ridiculous amount so I'll have those frozen lasagnas once in a blue moon. But it's always better homemade so this week guess what? I'm going to make homemade lasagna!!! If you can't tell I'm pretty excited about this. Also I'm going to be making a pot pie sort of contraption thing and pizza! So this weekend is going to be pretty great and I'm going to make my siblings taste test everything just in case it's bad so I don't ruin my cooking for myself.

overview of the overviews
Well Im going to tell you guys what I have done so far on my passion project. So I have about 13 or so recipes so far, I think it's going pretty good I have them all typed and everything I just need to edit the pictures do they have a better resolution. Honestly, I'm loving this project so far. I have probably edited every recipe to either make it edible and/or taste better than the recipe would have been. I'm trying to keep things gluten free or at least have a substitute written down so people know they can use what they need to. I really hope that in the end that this book will help people to make healthier life decisions and also to help people just feel better physically and mentally. Life is so much b better when you feel happy and your body is in sync with your mind.
