I got inspired by this drawing you made to ask AI to write me an alternate Star Wars story and here it is, hope you guys like it !
The searing winds of Mustafar howled around the two heroes, witnessing a duel that would seal the fate of the galaxy. The blades of the lightsabers clashed with rage and despair, reflecting the inner turmoil that ravaged Anakin Skywalker. Obi-Wan Kenobi, his former master and friend, was fighting not only for his own life, but for the soul of the one he considered a brother.
"Anakin, please!" Obi-Wan shouted, dodging a deadly blow. "Don't let Palpatine corrupt you any further! Think of Padmé, of the love you have for her and look what anger made you do to her!"
Obi-Wan's words resonated in Anakin's tormented mind. Images of his beloved Padmé, pregnant and hopeful, fought against the dark visions Palpatine had planted in his mind.
In a moment of lucidity, Anakin's blue eyes no longer reflected hatred of the Sith, but fear and confusion. He deactivated his lightsaber and fell to his knees on the rocky ground. "I'm lost, Obi-Wan. I'm so lost..."
Moved by the distress of his former padawan, Obi-Wan deactivated his own saber and helped him to get up. Together, they fled Mustafar aboard Obi-Wan's ship, leaving the battlefield and the promises of a dark empire behind.
They arrived in Polis Massa just in time to witness Padmé's birth. It was a time of renewed hope, Anakin at her side, squeezing her hand with affection and apprehension. However, the happiness was short-lived. Despite the best efforts of medicine and the Force, the twins, whom they had planned to name Luke and Leia, did not survive.
Anakin was devastated. The visions he had so feared had come true, not through the death of Padmé, but through that of his children. He blamed himself, believing it was his turn to the dark side and him hurting Padmé that cursed this.
Anakin, broken, made a promise: he would kill Palpatine and destroy the Empire that he helped to create. Anakin with the help Obi-Wan, in a final confrontation, killed the Emperor, ending his reign of terror and fulfilling the prophecy of the Chosen One.
However, even the fall of the Empire could not erase Anakin’s past sins. The restored Republic and what remained of Jedi Order, were torn apart. Anakin had at the end saved the galaxy, but does it make up for his crimes?
After bitter debate, a verdict was reached. Anakin Skywalker would be put to death by decapitation, an act both symbolic and definitive to prevent the return of the dark side.
Padmé, with tears in her eyes, and Obi-Wan, with a heavy heart, witnessed the execution. They knew that despite love and forgiveness, certain actions could not be forgotten.

(The execution)
The silent crowd watched in fascination mixed with horror as Anakin Skywalker was led to the site of his execution. His steps were heavy and uncertain, tears drying on his pale cheeks. Obi-Wan Kenobi walked beside him, his eyes clouded with tears that he refused to let fall.
Arriving in front of the executioner’s block, Obi-Wan gently took Anakin's trembling hands to blindfold him, hiding his sad and desperate eyes. Anakin, on his knees, instinctively reached for the executioner's block, but his obscured vision left him disoriented.
Anakin: (in a trembling voice) "Where is it? Where is the block?"
Confusion and fear showed in his voice as he stretched his hands forward, groping for the path to his inevitable fate. Obi-Wan, his eyes filled with compassion, realized Anakin's distress and rushed to help him.
Obi-Wan: (in a soft voice) "Anakin, I'm here. Let me help you."
Carefully, Obi-Wan guided Anakin, supporting him gently, to the executioner's block. He gently placed Anakin's bowed head on the cold, hard wood of the block, a gesture filled with deep sadness and resignation.
Obi-Wan: (in a low voice) "May the Force be with you, Anakin. May you finally find peace."
The spectators held their breath, witnessing a moment that would forever mark the history of the galaxy. Anakin Skywalker, once a hero and savior, was now a broken man, ready to face his destiny with courage and redemption.
As the executioner prepared to bring down his blade, a solemn silence enveloped the scene, broken only by the muffled sobs of those who had loved and lost Anakin Skywalker. And in that moment of truth and pain, Anakin finally found the peace he had sought, as the blade fell and sealed his fate.
It’s that time of the year again! Here’s my May the Fourth addition. It’s this, but starwars.
Happy Star Wars Day.
