When I saw this post I thought margaret beaufort is what they are trying to show alicent as ,they are so desperate to show that the greens are the good guys as if the war was not based on the anarchy where empress Matilda gets her throne stolen by her ungrateful cousin, like canon alicent was not a victim but show alicent is being portrayed as one you know ,like even comparing her to margaret is a big insult , margaret was legit a child bride even in the "Medieval time " she was considered a child bride, at the first time she was married it was before the age of 12 which later the marriage was dissolved, she was 12 when she was widowed and pregnant, was 13 when she gave birth which even the people were shocked back then and many believe since she was very young when she gave birth and it was a miracle that her and her baby both survived it was due to complications which she could not have any more children, while show-alicent was 14 which was considered preety normal to marry back then and 15 which was the comman age to have children meanwhile alicent was 19 when she married viserys which is considered an adult even in our own 21st century world and 20 when she gave birth which is also normal . Margaret's son henry was in constant danger since the Yorks took over ,her sons lands were taken and given to the kings( edward iv) brother (george , duke of Clarence) and she tried to gain custody of her son like miss girl had to worry about her son 24/7 it took 14 whole years for her to meet her son again, I don't think margaret wanted her son to be king I think she just wanted his lands back and she even tried negotiate with richard iii for her sons return to england , edward iv wanted him to come back so he would not pose a thread , she made plans together with elizabeth woodville to supplant richard iii , meanwhile alicent had no such case in the show alicent was the closest to rhaenyra she knew she would never hurt her own blood and in both show and books there was never an instance which suggest rhaenyra wanted to harm her siblings before the killing of her son , not to compare motherhood but margaret was only 13 when she had her son she raised him I would say preety well her son only loved his wife and never took any mistress or remarried heck she was even against her Grand daughter marriage at a young age saying she would not like her to share the same fate as her , while show-alicent had her daughter marry at a very young age even younger than her .
