"The Entrepreneurial Mind; My Bridge Towards Success"

My journey in entrep wasn't smooth at all and full of bumps and turns. From planning a product to create, our product proposal, our failed midterm pitching and now that we reached and finished the final pitch of our product SUCCESSFULLY. I have learned a lot in this journey and have realized many things. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, I thought they have the easiest job since they're all about pitching and persuading investors and then boom! They will recieve money. I have seen people became rich because of that. But because of the experience I've acquired through this journey I realized it's not easy at all. My group mates and I spent sleepless nights by researching and making our not so perfect prototype. I struggled a lot in making PowerPoint presentation and practiced many times how to fluently pitch and deliver information about our product. I've cried many times because of the pressure and failure to reach my group mates expectation of me. And these are all the hardest part of being an entrepreneur that I didn't know at all if it wasn't because of this subject.

But all I can say is like what the distinguished speaker said in the entrepreneurship seminar last time was " if you want success, you need to experience failure first." That inspiring message is very relatable to my part and that was instilled in my mind and life forever. I also gained deeper knowledge about start up which is the formed by various people in their various stages and types of organization and many more.

These unforgettable experiences and knowledge I've gained through this journey is very helpful to my life as a student and a future professional. I am forever grateful to this subject for making me a better version of myself and I believe this bridge will surely deliver me to my success.

"NEVER BACK DOWN, NEVER WHAT?"

It was March 1, 2024 when our midterm pitching about our product happened. Our supposed to be one of the unforgettable moments in entrep because we expected to do great didn't happen, instead it became one of our unforgettable memory since it's the completely opposite of what we expected it to be. Aside from not totally prepared, wrong PowerPoint presentation its obvious that we didn't have that harmony as a TEAM and it's quiet disappointing. Despite of being discouraged and hopeless we still continued planning and revising our product for the next final pitching not just for our grades but for the sake of our team's effort time and our product's future customers who will greatly benefit from our product.

Not business minded as we are since we're physics students, we tried our very best to revise our business canvass model based on what our panelist advised us to do and interviewed atleast 10 people if they are willing to buy our product in the near future. We were lucky that after explaining to them our plans and product's purpose they were satisfied and excited to buy our product. The positive remarks from our prospective customers became our motivation to do better and continue this product.

Since we experienced failure in midterm pitching we changed most of our products concept including our products name. From alarm ring device we decided to make it a bracelet with the same capacity to vibrate and we changed its name to "VIBRAWD " which means Vibrating Alarm Wrist Device. We also decided to put a trademark or brand on it which is a melon fruit like how apple, oppo and cherry mobile does. With this, it's very obvious that by starting new we are looking forward to a positive and satisfying outcome to our product final pitching and first launching.

These past few weeks, we started assembling and making our product's prototype. We were still lacking one material but we're expecting it to be delivered this week so we are confident that we can show our product's prototype at our final pitching. We spent time, effort and money in our journey of making this product possible so as a team, even though we experienced downfall we will NEVER BACK DOWN and to finish this blog's title, Despite of having some lack of cooperation in team and lack of resources we will make the impossible possible and we will NEVER GIVE UP.

A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

Change is the only thing that is constant in this world. That's why our project in entrepreneurship adapted change for the better which is instead of a ring, we plan to make a bracelet instead with the same function and purpose as stated in my previous blog. In this way, our project has a more possibility of existing since bracelet is more bigger than ring, a device that can produce vibration will be attached to it to help the user wake up without disturbing other people. Through this project, a buyer will be assured that they will never be late on their appointments anymore.

The question is, are they really willing to avail this product and trust the outcome of this project?

That's why we conducted an interview to know their opinion and insights about our product. Fortunately most of them said they are willing to buy because they found it useful as long as it's affordable. Some said too that they don't need this since they have a phone and their own personal space to live so they won't disturb anyone.

After listening to their insights we realize that we need to have a more targeted customers that will really need our product. We gained many suggestions and advice too that can greatly help us conduct this project and make this possible.

As of now we're facing trials and challenges but I'm thankful that I have my team to back me up in this journey. As long as we help each other, a product with a great purpose with an effective solution to a usual problem of the students and workers will certainly exist!

"ONE GOAL AND ONE DREAM IN ENTREP"

I am a college first year student and entrepreneurship is not new to me, I already encountered this on my senior high school but I must say, this is a new level of adventure! Because this time we will do our own start-up project! It is very difficult to make your own innovation specially as a student who has bit of allowance but WE, AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP STUDENT FROM THE ACADEMIC PARADISE OF THE SOUTH is willing to take the risk!

January 31, 2024 when we started our start up project by planning and brain storming our ideas as a group. After that we did the first major step which is gathering information through interviews. We interviewed 25 student form our university and asked them what is the main problem that they always encounter in their daily life?

The result shows 23/25 students said they were always late in class because of ineffective alarm. Well, I must admit, I'm one of them too. So as a not-so-proffessional little Einsteins we decided to make a ring that is connected to a phone and when it alarms the ring will vibrate waking the person's up. Unlike our usual alarm that can disturb all the people in your room it will just disturb YOU and wake you up!

We decided to take a long route by taking this project and I know that we are still not in the halfway but still in the starting line. We already encountered many difficulties when we merely just started so I learned many things. In the future things will get harder and road will get rougher. We will need to persevere more and have the courage to overcome many challenges to provide solutions to problem of students and to help them in any ways. As an entrepreneurial student, we will strive hard and prove that we can.

But ofcourse this is just all a plan we still need to do further research about it, seek professional help and maybe... ask for sponsors? so if you find this blog and start up project interesting? Follow me for more updates.
