Photographer website 3 -
https://www.instagram.com/hoeg/?hl=en
I decided to choose this photographer for my blog because again because he photographs events from concerts, and i am very interested in this genre of photography.
His photographs range from portaits to concert photography and uses different apertures to capture a range of different high and low depth of fields. He uses photoshop to edit his photographs but he keeps his editing simple and just keeps to touching them up by sharpening and colour correcting them.
He uses his instagram as his main form to show off his work and has more photographs shown on it rather than his website. He has 1,235 posts and 103k followers. He also has his location on there as well as other social media platforms for contact purposes like twitter and snapchat. I like how he uses black and white photographs and then has coloured photographs. His work mainly focuses on people and event portraiture however there is a few random photographs of animals and landscape too.
All of Jon’s photographs have a white boarder, this is good to use on instagram as the photo has to be a square image, therefore using a white boarder means that none of the image is cropped out. This selection of Jon’s instagram is concert photography and i like how he catches the performer in a natural state on stage and i also really like how he catches the concert beam lights to add more detail to the photograph. I particularly like the bottom left image as the lighting shows off a lot of tone and lines in the photo, i also like how the background is plain and simple and darker around the edges to focus on the Drummer.
He also merges two images together shown in the top right, this technique is very striking and i like how the two images of the people are different poses and angles showing a nice contrast between the two.
When you click on the photo the white boarder around the image frames it well, just as if it was displayed on a wall.

Photographer website 2 - Catlin Worthington
http://www.caitlinworthington.com
For my second photographer I researched Catlin Worthington, the work shows a range of photos put many portraits taken on location.
The homepage of the website is extremely simple, the small amount of detail on the home page invites the eye in for more information and detail, the black and white drawing/sketch stands out against the white background. The font is unique and gives a pretty tone.
The website uses a simple black bod font on the information bar. The website displays social media links are good for promotion of the photographer and website, therefore helping display more interest.
Compared to Rankins website this website has less links to click on, therefore less to explore and view. The links that is included on the website are basic and minimal yet still including contact information and detail. The font and style of the website match the genre of photography showing the beauty within.

Photographer website 1 - Rankin
http://rankin.co.uk
I chose to first research Rankins website as he is one of my favourite photographers I like his website as it is very bold and colourful therefore relating to fashion photography.
When you first go onto the website you have various different links taking you to both his photography and film portfolios, this is good as the client/viewer can click on whichever one they are interested in.
Once onto the main website there is 5 main portrait advertising photos of various different celebrities on a slideshow display, the display is just steady enough that you have enough time to study and read the image. Displaying images of celebrities on the main page captures the viewers attention.
At the top of the website there is a search bar, contact information, and portfolio links. The black bold text stands out drastically against the plain white background. The social media links also help promote the photographer and add interest; clicking on the twitter logo at the top will take you straight to the various different social medias.
There is a lot of contact information showing that the photographer is serious about the work. There is also links showing where you can view the work in person. The font is simple yet bold and there is loads of options to explore the website and work.
After choosing a area of the portfolio work to explore all of the related photographs are collected in a page together. The photographs are displayed fairly small as Rankin wants to show the whole range of the collected work, all the detail and colour is still very visible. The white background behind makes the photos stand out clear and strong and the white borders off the image well. As there are loads of photographs on one page this is a great way of displaying a variety of photos however it could appear overcrowded and somewhat messy.
If you click on a photo to view it larger you can then view the rest of the collection by using the arrow keys on either side of the photo. The website is easy to use and is very striking in font and colour .

1- Photogtapher: i am very interesting in taking photographs and eventually becoming a event photographer. The best way to become this is to take photos for family and friends or get a apprenticeship.
Becoming a photographer takes a lot of time and dedication
2- Retail: this is more of a realistic goals while continuing to study photography i will not give up taking photographs. retail is a more simple way of making money for myself to help build a business.
3- University - uni is a big step towards the adult life. my ideal collage course would be photography so i could learn more techniques and help develop my ideas and photos even further.
