they need to add the ability to massively reduce effects

like, seriously, even when I set the effects to “reduced” it only makes the game go from “unplayable” to “just barely playable if you squint”

at this point, I could probably hunt these monsters with a blindfold because that’s basically what these effects ARE right now

I beat MH rise yesterday

To put it with as little spoilers as possible: The game is straight-up unfinished.

I loved the game from start to finish, but MAN does it suck that there’s no endgame content at all at the moment.  I’m glad they aren’t doing the dumb jerk thing and selling the missing content as DLC, but I kind of wish they had delayed the game, or at least been more transparent about the state of the game.

And I don’t just mean that the story is unfinished, I mean, there’s literally zero end game content.  No elder dragon hunting, besides the “final boss” I guess.  No new unlocks after beating the “final boss”, and the characters will talk about how you need to do some more things, but there’s literally nothing else to do until the updates come.  I’m keeping this as vague as possible, but man!  I’m pretty disappointed.  I had to check online to see if I was going crazy, because the characters will just keep talking about stuff that isn’t even in the game right now.

Still gonna have a blast farming for armor sets and completing all the quests in the game at the moment, but the abrupt “ending” really stung.
