Today's tile started with some leftover brown acrylic paint I used up by putting on a tile. The tile's been sitting on my worktable for a couple of weeks - drying to start, and then just waiting for inspiration. I loke how the finish ended up looking almost like sueded. I"m working on a number of ZIA projects right now - just time for a quick daily tile. This one was fun - I randomly selected Enyshou and I'm never sure how to place it unless it's an underwater thing - I can't seem to see it as anything else. Then I started tiny Crescent Moons, but got bored partway around the border, so decided to jazz them up. After that, it seemed like a little bit of Tipple was all that was needed to finish it off. Can you do Zen Buttons on black? Of course you can! Today's Tangled Tidbits class was all about it! The two samples shown show two different ways of achieving the round concentric circles - compass for accuracy, and without for a more natural look. The key to Zentangle is to decide which you feel more relaxed about - sometimes compasses rule for you, and sometimes you want to play around with 'justabouts'. In Zentangle, both work!
