Got back to doing more than doodles and practice recently after the most recent ExU divergence episode. That Crokas kill just flashed in my mind and i had to do it the justice of a full render.

Prime dragon Wendonai. When the divine pillars were constructed and the planes of existence first came to be defined, Wendonai travelled to the nine hells. Initially serving as a warden to the devils that were not too happy about their newly confined situation. However as the magic of the plane began to seep into Wendonai, they were easily swayed by the new found power and they fully gave into it.

Unbeknownst to them, this also tied them to the same rules as every other devil. Souls must be traded fairly under fully agreed upon terms in order for them to be claimed by Wendonai. Failing that, any direct effort to corrupt a soul and have it sent to the hells "naturally" will give the corrupter a stronger sway over command of that soul.

As such Wendonai uses their immense magical ability to sway the hearts of mortals into committing horrible acts in order to ensure they claim as many souls as they can. They are a near perfect deceiver and can skirt the line between truth and lie like a spider crawling across a thread. Wendonai prefers the souls of the righteous above all else. Paladins, Clerics and other holy people provide them with the greatest joy to corrupt.

Been quite busy this week so only managed a few sketches, but finally got round to finishing one today. This is another prime dragon. Kaisarion, the fallen flame. This one spent a long time on mount celestia before being forcibly removed by the gods. Like many divine beings before them, Kaisarion fell to the hells. Another prime dragon was already there but they were much, much deeper and by choice so Kaisarion settled on the first layer, making deals with mortal travellers who tried to leave the city of dis. Often for protection while they travelled to the second layer or lower, and often in exchange for soul coins, magic items or, their most desired trade, secrets.

Blackmail is what got Kaisarion kicked out of mount celestia, and they claim to still have secrets about the gods and high ranking celestials there. Whether this is true or not, one should be very careful as to what secrets you give to Kaisarion. Too mild and you might find yourself beset by devils as soon as your protection is fulfilled. Too spicy, however, and you might find yourself in further debt to them, lest the secret be used against you in the cruelest possible way.

Decided to do some creature design for my dnd world. This is Algarion the Shadow of Dawn, one of the prime dragons born from the blood of the first god of magic. Reflective white scales and shifting black void make up this colossal dragons hide, an astral starscape can be seen through the black parts. Their four pearlescent wings cast prismatic light below and shifting liquid gold floats around their body, changing patterns to reflect their mood and actions.

Prime dragons absorb the planar energies they are exposed to. Algarion spent most of their time in the astral sea but also favoured the fields of Elysium

Wild Life character designs!! These are inspired by 1940s-50s casino wear :D Some design notes under the cut!

- Each team has their own casino-themed motif, which are, in order of appearance above, slot machine icons, card suits, poker chips, coins, 8-balls, and dice. I did not look up the meanings of the card suits, they were chosen based off vibes and aesthetics. BigB does not have any of these motifs, though I may give him some sort of joker theming if he more definitively joins the final girls in the future!

- Bdubs and Cleo have been inconsistent with their skins so both of their designs are a sort of hybrid between their default skins and their life series skins, with Cleo’s being more heavily leaning toward her default skin because the color palette is easier to adapt.

- These outfits are based on 1940s-50s casino wear, as these decades signified the rise of Las Vegas, Hollywood glamour, and a post-Great Depression economy, which fits in nicely with the wild cards and logo of this season. Not every outfit is perfectly accurate to the setting, as I preferred to give them unique designs rather than giving them all different colors of the same suit. Some of the outfits I designed for an earlier decade before I realized Vegas only really got big in the 50s, and I did not modernize most of them so forgive me if some of them look a little too 30s (Etho I kept 30s on purpose bc I think being outdated suits him). and if you know a lot about 1940s-50s fashion please don’t kill me for any inaccuracies i tried my best! special shout out to derek guy (menswear guy on twitter) as his account has taught me so much about proper fitting of suits and these designs would not have come out nearly as good without him

I just had a horrifying thought about the snails in wild life session 3. In the hunger games books, the hounds at the end of book 1 are described as resembling the other tributes, specifically that their eyes are the same. It's not stated explicitly but the implication i interpreted was that the fallen tributes had their eyes removed and were placed in the mutts that had already been created to roughly resemble them.

The thought i had was what if the watchers did the same with the past life series contestants to create these immortal snails.

This thought has haunted me and now it must haunt you too, sorry ☺️
