URGENT; PLEASE SPREAD THIS WIDELY! According to the Associated Press, Hillary Clinton has already accumulated enough delegates to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for president. Please ignore this announcement, it is not true at all. They’re including unpledged superdelegates in the delegate count to misinform potential voters. The primaries are far from over. Neither of the candidates will reach the 2,383 pledged delegate threshold needed to win the Democratic Party nomination. Because of that, there will be a contested convention.

The Real Math (As of June 6th, 2016)

Total Number of Delegates Available = 4763

CURRENT Score Hillary Clinton = 1812 Bernie Sanders = 1521

Total Number of Delegates Required to Clinch the Nomination = 2383 Total Number of Delegates Remaining = 1493 Total Number of Delegates Who Vote on June 4th Through June 14th, 2016 = 930

No Candidate Can Clinch the Nomination Before June 14, 2016

Hillary Clinton Would Need 571 out of 930 Bernie Sanders Would Need 862 out of 930

Total Number of Delegates Who Vote on July 25th, 2016 = 719 (Democratic National Convention)

The Nomination Will (Practically) Be Decided on July 25th, 2016.

Additionally, to quote from the campaign’s press release: “She [Hillary] will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then. [This means the superdelegates will flip to Bernie if and when he wins the primaries on Tuesday (because that’s what they’re supposed to do).] They [AP and the corporate media] include more than 400 superdelegates who endorsed Secretary Clinton 10 months before the first caucuses and primaries and long before any other candidate was in the race.”

Tl;dr: Ignore it! Keep phone banking and donating and volunteering and voting!

I. Introduce yourself: Hey! I’m Mar, I’m 17, and I live in California, which makes my timezone PST.

II. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?: Either Paris, France, if only because I’ve always wanted to see the city, or Venice.

III. What are you currently binge-watching on Netflix?: GOSSIP GIRL! I just got into it again.

VII. Of any roleplay and any character (canon or OC), who has been your favorite character to write as?: I’d probably say Margaux from before? I never got to write a character who had such a rich and eventful life. There were so many things about her that I could develop, and it was a pleasure getting to write as her for a bit.

X. How did you hear about TSOP?: I saw it before and literally had to apply, and I waited for it to revamp, so here I am!

all i want is a plot where muse a (my upper east side muse lily) goes overseas to paris and ends up meeting a prince that’s sort of undercover, and they even have a fling but it ends on a really angsty note. then surprise, she finds out who he is when the two are seated at a table at a really important gala in the upper east side :)))
